Yes, Gonzo and Witherspoon have the same agent, and he's probably trying to roll both teams - both deals will probably be for record terms, in order.

Why don't we just suck it up and pay the man? If Witherspoon gets his deal done first, then we pay even more. If we do it now, then we make the Seahawks have to pay through the nose.

We're not going to create the ill will and make him play through the season on his rookie deal.

If I buy into the whole strength of schedule thing and knowing that we fired Bill after one of the hardest SoSs and then to be singing Vrabel's praises after we had one of the easiest... Maybe feels a little ironic or something?
