Ok, so NBS got its official accreditation from AACSB yesterday, making it among the top 6% business schools in the world. Finally it no longer feels like we are behind LUMS and IBA. Drop your thoughts, personally speaking, I think it'll have a major impact on graduate employment.

halfway done with my degree now, I'm grateful for studying here, don't get me wrong but I kinda think nust isn't even all that. Like I understand compared to other unis it may be a million times better but it really isn't all that, considering how much people glaze it. Does anyone else feel that way or am I js being ungrateful and ignorant.

Allah never ever burdens a soul with something they cannot overcome if Allah has placed this desire in your hearts then it was meant for you but Allah will test you he will test you with things you find difficult things that will shake you up.

From someone who is also stuck in this merit drama and all one thing that will help all of us is praying and salat ul hajat also start your tahajjud because you need to show Allah that you are desperate for this you deserve this if we scroll all day and sleep all day and don't pray then don't expect things to work out things will only work out when you strive for them.

You all gave your nets no matter what the score is remember one thing nust is not in charge of you admissions Allah is!! The same rab who save Musa Ibrahim Yusuf(as) and Muhammad (saw) do you really think he will leave you all alone in the end?? No he would not he would never do that but on your part what are you doing?? Are you praying to him are you asking for this thing not just verbally but showing Allah how much you want this do it brothers and sister do it right now start it today cry infront of him tell him you need this and he who is the most merciful will give you what your heart desires inshallah.

Pray for your fellows yourself and ofc me hehe pray that I get in my desired field as well because at the end of the day it is Allah who will decide our fates not NUST not any other department ONLY ALLAH!!

Only people in 1st and 2nd merit list were eligible for internal hostels last year and very few got internal last year almost 90% are residing outside like ,now it's highly possible that you will have to suffer in external hostels for almost a year ,

THE ENVIRONMENTAL PROBLEMS

What most people do is they immediately rush towards external hostels as soon as their name appears in the merit list and end up booking their seats Online which is totally wrong cuz I have done this and many other also.what you see in the pics of their hostels rooms on Google maps or what they send you saying this is how our rooms are is totally different from reality, I was searching for hostel and google maps I found a hostel named GALAXY BOYS HOSTELS H-13 they uploaded magicals pics new rooms now paint new bed cupboards and stuff Clean bathrooms I remember they said for booking you have to send us security which is 10k (obv refundable) I send them the money and got my seat booked when I went to isb the hostel bro like everything I saw was different their were old beds,no ventilation or passing of air no exhaust even the bathroom seat and wash basin had no P-TRAPS which block the dirty smell every time someone used the bathroom it's smelled shit no cleaning of floors and the MOST IMPORTANT PART is when I went to fill the form there I saw the security was 3k and 7k was admission fee but now I was trapped so I was forced to live there I had the most cornered bed away from bathroom yet still I couldn't breath ,after 15 days I got insect bites I didn't even knew for few days what it is it kept increasing on my forearm I was in pain the whole day in university I went to doctor he prescribed me medicine and told me to check my bed if there's the insect that caused it and I when I checked it there was a whole army of those bit*he's I was furious I couldn't resist but I somehow got health back with the doctors help thanks god, then comes the FOOD there's a fixed routine schedule the food was absolute shit I had never eaten that shit in my whole life the morning tea was so shit that I couldn't drink it left it for whole month there was no meal for noon so I spend almost 500 everyday just to get my self a good food and some fruits then comes the night on somedays the food was fine not good and other days were shit . Finally after the complete month I had decided to leave the hostel cuz it was the most terrible month of my life ,I had already told them that I am leaving the hostel 17 days before the end of month but when I was leaving I demanded my 10k security back but they refused to give it to me they said your security was only 3 k other 7000 rs were admission fee I refused and showed them their voice messages but they said sir you have signed the form where it clearly says security is 3k and admission fee is 7 k after a long debate I was left with no choice so I agreed on 3000 they said okay you can get it tomorrow when I went the next day their dad (basically the hostel was runned by 2 sons and their dad their whole family lived on 3rd floor of the hostel,it was a house but they rented it as hostel) so their dad said we will give you your whole security if you stay till the 15 th of next month and as usual I only got 1500 back and they scammed me with 8500 in a single month(ITS NOT A LIE I HAVE THE RECIEPTS IN MY BANKING APP) and this is how I was scammed and ended up losing my money with me many people were also scammed even from different hostels around the h-13

I don't know if I am able to give u a advice on a which hostel is best ,I am helping you to understand the catch how u can be scammed at this important time when you're starting your uni life

Try your best to go to hostels by yourself check everything find any mutual person or go with your any relative who is native to Islamabad it would help you alot don't just registered and pay these mfs online blindly , there's almost no hostel in h-13 which offers everything thing perfect I been to more than 4 hostel in a single year I couldn't find any good hostel

So I just found out that NBS finally got its AACSB accreditation (putting it up there with LUMS and IBA as the only ones in Pakistan, if I’m not mistaken).As an applicant looking to join NBS soon, I’m trying to figure out what this actually means for us on the ground.Does this actually make a massive difference if we want to apply abroad for a Master's later on? Or job opportunities in Pakistan? Will a NUST degree have the same importance as a LUMS or IBA degree? We'll be good even without acca?

Hope ya’ll are well. I’m gonna say this with a heavy heart, but I really need ya’ll’s opinions. I’m joining NUST this year in BS Economics, for which I’m lowkey grateful. However, it’s not the degree I wanna pursue. I want to go for BSCS, BSAI, BSDS, or BSSE ( any one of these works ). I’ve decided to enrol at NUST for BS Economics and meanwhile give all the NET attempts to score at least a 156 by 200 which will bring my aggregate to 80% which will most likely clear at least one of the programs’ merit criteria. I’m from an A Level background, so I’m kind of worried as to how I’m gonna manage the NET, and it’s stressing me out. Honestly, I need to get into NUST at this point, I don’t have an option since I have already taken gap years and do not know where to start. I’m naturally good at Mathematics so I guess that will help me out. But Physics? How do I manage that? I’ve heard kafi ratta based system hai. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Hey everyone, I need some honest advice and guidance regarding my admission options.I’m applying for BBA at NUST this year. I managed to score 146 in the NET, and my total combined aggregate is coming out to be exactly 77%.Here is my dilemma: I just found out that I got selected for BS FinTech at FAST. NUST is my absolute first preference, and my parents are advising me to completely skip the FAST seat/fee submission and just wait for the NUST merit lists to come out.However, I’m getting really anxious about whether a 77% aggregate is completely safe for BBA at NBS , or if I should pay the FAST fees as a backup plan just to be safe.
