Suggestions/Advice Freshies Attention! Everything you need to know about Hostels
Only people in 1st and 2nd merit list were eligible for internal hostels last year and very few got internal last year almost 90% are residing outside like ,now it's highly possible that you will have to suffer in external hostels for almost a year ,
IF YOU DON'T GET INTERNAL HOSTEL THEN HERE'S THE GUIDE :
THE ENVIRONMENTAL PROBLEMS
What most people do is they immediately rush towards external hostels as soon as their name appears in the merit list and end up booking their seats Online which is totally wrong cuz I have done this and many other also.what you see in the pics of their hostels rooms on Google maps or what they send you saying this is how our rooms are is totally different from reality, I was searching for hostel and google maps I found a hostel named GALAXY BOYS HOSTELS H-13 they uploaded magicals pics new rooms now paint new bed cupboards and stuff Clean bathrooms I remember they said for booking you have to send us security which is 10k (obv refundable) I send them the money and got my seat booked when I went to isb the hostel bro like everything I saw was different their were old beds,no ventilation or passing of air no exhaust even the bathroom seat and wash basin had no P-TRAPS which block the dirty smell every time someone used the bathroom it's smelled shit no cleaning of floors and the MOST IMPORTANT PART is when I went to fill the form there I saw the security was 3k and 7k was admission fee but now I was trapped so I was forced to live there I had the most cornered bed away from bathroom yet still I couldn't breath ,after 15 days I got insect bites I didn't even knew for few days what it is it kept increasing on my forearm I was in pain the whole day in university I went to doctor he prescribed me medicine and told me to check my bed if there's the insect that caused it and I when I checked it there was a whole army of those bit*he's I was furious I couldn't resist but I somehow got health back with the doctors help thanks god, then comes the FOOD there's a fixed routine schedule the food was absolute shit I had never eaten that shit in my whole life the morning tea was so shit that I couldn't drink it left it for whole month there was no meal for noon so I spend almost 500 everyday just to get my self a good food and some fruits then comes the night on somedays the food was fine not good and other days were shit . Finally after the complete month I had decided to leave the hostel cuz it was the most terrible month of my life ,I had already told them that I am leaving the hostel 17 days before the end of month but when I was leaving I demanded my 10k security back but they refused to give it to me they said your security was only 3 k other 7000 rs were admission fee I refused and showed them their voice messages but they said sir you have signed the form where it clearly says security is 3k and admission fee is 7 k after a long debate I was left with no choice so I agreed on 3000 they said okay you can get it tomorrow when I went the next day their dad (basically the hostel was runned by 2 sons and their dad their whole family lived on 3rd floor of the hostel,it was a house but they rented it as hostel) so their dad said we will give you your whole security if you stay till the 15 th of next month and as usual I only got 1500 back and they scammed me with 8500 in a single month(ITS NOT A LIE I HAVE THE RECIEPTS IN MY BANKING APP) and this is how I was scammed and ended up losing my money with me many people were also scammed even from different hostels around the h-13
I don't know if I am able to give u a advice on a which hostel is best ,I am helping you to understand the catch how u can be scammed at this important time when you're starting your uni life
Try your best to go to hostels by yourself check everything find any mutual person or go with your any relative who is native to Islamabad it would help you alot don't just registered and pay these mfs online blindly , there's almost no hostel in h-13 which offers everything thing perfect I been to more than 4 hostel in a single year I couldn't find any good hostel
