Found on Facebook Marketplace for a 100$ CAD

As a gear head, I’ve owned several sports cars, including multiple high end ones (458,911s) but my ND RF Miata gets the most compliments by far, especially from older women (grannies) and kids.

What surprises me most is how often people come over just to chat about it. That almost never happened with my other cars.

What is it about the Miata that makes it so approachable? Anyone else with similar experience across multiple brands and models?

Just removed the style bar that one of the previous owners had installed on my 95. I kind of liked the silver look though. Any recommendations for functional bars that are a similar color?

Yesterday was hot, outdoor temp in the car finally dropped to 105f. It was a top up, crank up the A/C

35-40f top down if I'm in town

40-50f top down on the highway or in town with my wife. Heaters are amazing

50-85 top down

85-95 top up with my wife is in the car, top down when it's just me.

95-100 top up, A/C cranked. Might be OK if I'm not going to be stuck at a stoplight. Then I will be shade hopping, something I picked up as a cyclist. Being stuck next to a semi trailer in the shade is nice

100+ why am I even outside

Yesterday the heat index as 114f. Brutal and yet I still had a cigar outside sitting in the of a swamp cooler that I filled with ice. Kind of a cheater outside A/C

This is our first Miata and now I fully understand why people love these little cars.

I guess I’m glad it seems to be just the one panel. No one ever sees these small cars when changing lanes.

A mouth breather owned this car before me and crunched theses frame rails in with jacks. I’m probably gonna end up welding angle iron down each side of them but I figured I’d check and see what y’all thought before I did it.

I just got this Miata, it needs a crank saver done. So while it’s open I’m doing a timing belt and water pump. It did run and move, but I couldn’t get it to idle very good before I dove into this project.

FWIW it’s a ‘94 with the 1.8, and a fast forward supercharger.

Been debating this with some friends and I’m curious what everyone here would do.

1990 Miata 1.6L

Planning on redoing all top and bottom gaskets, timing belt, water pump, clutch, and a deep clean due to the engine being entirely coated in sludge. Not sure what happened before I got it lol

Trying to save money so a 1.8 swap is probably not happening yet, I'm committed to the 1.6 until it goes

I've heard Miatas are as easy as it gets for pulling engines, but this will be my first attempt so any advice is appreciated

Whole front is off for paint. Coilovers going on this week with new wheels then she gets to enjoy it rest of summer then it goes back for full restore for next summer.

Initially i tried changing just the bulb for an led but twisting the cap off the whole assembly snapped in half. I ended up using some amazon nilight foglights for a 2009 nissan Xterra. For the plug i bought a male and female connector to make it plug and play. The fitment and outcome came out pretty nice.

Hello, bought this Miata a few months back and the front lip had tons of chipping from a quickly done job I believe.

I’m very inexperienced with paint and have done a fair bit of research, but am looking for advice on stripping the remaining paint and potentially preparing it to buy 18g silver paint and paint it myself. Any advice is much appreciated!

Hi I’m Chris and I am having a huge issue with my eunos, I recently replaced my temp sensor and when I did I took out the ignition coil pack and when I put it back I accidentally plugged the CAS plug into the ignition coil pack and the ignition coil plug into the CAS and now it cranks but won’t start, I have replaced the ignition coil pack and the CAS and still nothing so I went ahead and replaced the spark plugs cause I wasn’t getting no spark but yet the plugs were all reading 14v, the megasquirt ecu is getting power and is reading everything fine, if anyone can drop some elite ball knowledge that would be very much appreciated

(1993 1.6 w headrest speakers) I want this thing to sound great, my bmw’s audio is obviously amazing it has like 10 speakers, but how can I make do with the limited availability on the Miata, what amps, speakers and woofers are y’all running, I more care about audio quality rather then loudness, and I don’t really wanna cut into the rear deck, i wanna keep her untouched.

The new problem is getting a deferral until it becomes a bigger problem. Right now, it's just oil in the coolant. I'm not gonna concern myself with it until it's coolant in the oil.
