A mouth breather owned this car before me and crunched theses frame rails in with jacks. I’m probably gonna end up welding angle iron down each side of them but I figured I’d check and see what y’all thought before I did it.

As a gear head, I’ve owned several sports cars, including multiple high end ones (458,911s) but my ND RF Miata gets the most compliments by far, especially from older women (grannies) and kids.

What surprises me most is how often people come over just to chat about it. That almost never happened with my other cars.

What is it about the Miata that makes it so approachable? Anyone else with similar experience across multiple brands and models?

I actually throw the top up partially at lights and other longer stops for shade but otherwise down.

Another reason soft tops are better.

Yesterday was hot, outdoor temp in the car finally dropped to 105f. It was a top up, crank up the A/C

35-40f top down if I'm in town

40-50f top down on the highway or in town with my wife. Heaters are amazing

50-85 top down

85-95 top up with my wife is in the car, top down when it's just me.

95-100 top up, A/C cranked. Might be OK if I'm not going to be stuck at a stoplight. Then I will be shade hopping, something I picked up as a cyclist. Being stuck next to a semi trailer in the shade is nice

100+ why am I even outside

Yesterday the heat index as 114f. Brutal and yet I still had a cigar outside sitting in the of a swamp cooler that I filled with ice. Kind of a cheater outside A/C

Context, I had ecs before hand that had a track day and 7 years old, it was vibrating at 70mph only and it never bothered me because i would drive at 80 anyway and always planned on replacing them soon.

After replacing the tires, vibration got worse. it was now at 40, 70, and 80. I went back to America’s Tires and they admittedly did the balancing wrong, (they use road force). after getting it back, it felt way better but now it’s back to 70-75mph.

Before i get a professional to look at it, what are some ways to rule variables out? (I read every forum and it’s mostly NA’s unfortunately)
- I’m going to swap out wheels for stocks tmr, see if that would cause the issue.
- I can check U joints, but is it true the drive shaft can be unbalanced?
- I do feel more vibrating in the rear, maybe i could swap wheels from front to back?
- alignment and balancing again will be my last choice and as a result does anyone in the bay area know a good tire shop that use road force and balance properly? pls lmk

I just bought goodwin racing race muffler. I heard it is the loudest one is it that loud to impact your daily drive??

Am I stupid for doing this bc my gf already don't like my little OMO(my miata's name) and she hates it when cars are loud 😔

Is this an aftermarket antenna? All the other pictures of similar Miatas I’ve seen have that long silver antenna.

here is my 1993 Miata that is in the process of becoming turbocharged, I am thinking of adding decals or some exterior modifications to it. it is lowered and on bronze wheels with a brg matching hardtop. here’s a picture of what I am considering for the car. please give your opinion and suggestions this is a street car build
