I picked up this little tikes car for free for my little one in the hope that I could clean it, spray paint and give it a new lease of life for him but I can't figure out how to get rid of the dirt that's inside the car. Any ideas would be so helpful please! I've already tried rinse and shake and Milton's but because I can't get inside to scrub I don't know how to loosen it all? Thanks!

EDIT: thank you for all your ideas and suggestions! I think for the safety of little one and the fact it was free I'm going to look for another one that isn't full of mould!

I've been told by two people they are not, as you still need to rinse the dishes beforehand? Is this true?

I suffer from chronic migraines so dishes often pile up during an attack. Are dishwashers worth it in a household setting?

My mom is giving me her bed frame which is made of fabric but there’s a stain from where she would routinely put her head on the frame.

Now, I’m just curious how to get rid of the stain, considering I can’t put a bed head in the washing machine.

I have noticed that some cleaning tasks are much easier if they are done right away instead of waiting until later.

Is there one task you never postpone because you know it will become more difficult if you do? It could be wiping kitchen counters washing dishes cleaning the shower taking out the trash or something else.

I would love to hear which small habits have saved you the most time and effort over the long run.

Basically what it says. Two of these sinks came with our house we bought (as first time homeowners) and we still live here and are trying to make our lives more manageable. For context, I myself don’t know carpentry but my husband is a wielder so I can ask him questions if need be. The top of the sink is easy to clean, the pedestal almost feels sticky/clingy at all times (even with recent deep cleaning and drying). We’re trying to see if there’s a better way to clean something like this, but also trying to find out if there’s something we should be doing to protect/seal it to make it more manageable. Open to any tips or insights as this is easily one of my top 3 things I hate having to do but always have to do it either every few days if keeping it clean vs living with it always seeming sticky with dust/pet hair and dander all over it.

Currently on vacation in a rental home and someone spilled water.. I took a napkin and dried it up and I was shocked by how *clean* the napkin was. No matter how much I mop my floors, if I take a paper towel to it, it comes out black and I feel like my floor is never clean enough. I've tried the usual Mr Clean, Fabuloso, Pink stuff, etc. As well as dawn & water, or vinegar & water.

Am I missing a step or something? How do I get my floors 100% clean?

ETA for reference, I use mop shoes as pads on a swiffer handle to mop with. I usually either wring/rinse the pad or just replace the pad during a cleaning depending on how dirty it is or what I cleaned

Just like the post title. Adult male that has a hard time maintaining the home. Combo of depression and rarely home. The few times that I choose to cook at home something is always burning under whichever one I need to use. Been trying to do better with home cooked meals but hate having to smell/taste burnt/charcoal. By extension, are the spirals suppose to look like that or do I have to clean them with something specific?

So i bought this new towel that is not microfiber (my first mistake) and i used it to dry my hair. Now bare in mind i already washed the towels before my first use of them but to my horror they keep shedding fluff every time i wash them to the point that i dont wash them with clothes bc they ruin the load. Now i noticed that my hair brush got the fluff out of my hair but now i cant seem to get the fluff out if the brush. I tried with multiple sized combs but not use…

Bought a dining set secondhand. The dining chairs are all extremely sticky in certain areas. Appears to be build-up from grease/body oils since it’s mainly on the parts of the chairs that you touch with your hands.

A little soap and water did nothing. Murphys oil did work but looks like it removed the finish which I’m sad about. I didn’t even really scrub very hard. Hoping I don’t need to refinish all of the chairs…

I realized why my microfiber towels were just smearing water around on my counters instead of actually absorbing anything. Apparently out my roommate was tossing them in the wash with regular fabric softener and dryer sheets..

It leaves a waxy coating that makes them practically waterproof. So I tripped them with hot water and vinegar and they finally absorb again. So please keep this in mind!

I have a dog and two cats, all hardwood floors with rugs. I had a roomba back like 10 years ago and it really spent most of its time getting caught on things or stuck in corners. Has the technology advanced enough to make one worth it? Which brand would you recommend? Are the vacuum/mops worth it?

I don't know what material this is. It looked like this since I moved in but it got worse with time. I tried cleaning it multiple times by scrubbing. It looks great when it's cover with water (like the bottom) but the top looks really dry. Is it normal because of water? Or is there some residue? Or does it need some kind of oil like wood?

I've made a few posts on here in the past asking for help on a messy room, which is something i've dealt with all my life. I've come to the realization that my issue is clothes.
I have a lot of clothes, too many. I already went through and donated everything that's too small or that i just don't wear, but that still leaves me with many more clothes than can fit in my dresser and closet.

I don't want to feel bottle necked by my clothes anymore; it leads to messes that lead to more messes until it's a gigantic, matted mess that leaves me completely overpowered when it comes time to clean or simply live.

What should i do? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hi! I’m a college student who is about to move into my first apartment!

I have a bedroom, study, fridge, and bathroom to myself and my roommate that we have to clean, and a shared kitchen among a couple others.

There are soooo many cleaning products on the market, what is a list of what I should look into getting?

Do yall have suggestions? Good brands? I’m slightly on a budget, so I am not looking to splurge unless it’s REALLY good LOL!

I have a chronic illness that makes cleaning quite hard sometimes, so I would also appreciate any cleaning products that really simplify things! :)

That tub is probably over 30 years old and I'm disgusted by the way it looks.

I've tried chlorine cleaner but to no avail.

Any tips? Note that I will probably not be able to get a lot of cleaning products that are common in the US as I'm from Germany. Best just describe what kind of cleaner you'd use and I'll probably be able to find a similar product.

My boyfriend was sleeping with an instant ice pack bandaged to his ankle and it burst while he was sleeping. We washed it out of the sheets but now it is GLUED to the carpet like I can knock on it and it’s hard as a rock. What does he do ???!!!!

I’ve been living at my parents house for a couple years and my dad gave this tub the landlord special before coming. There’s no vent or anything in the bathroom and so I think it didn’t help this situation. Behind the faucet it’s some sort of tile that he painted over with white, and along the tub is some sort of wood (?) attached with caulking.

Hi all, have any of you had success in cleaning a water stain from polyester fabric? (Not sure if it matters but it’s recycled polyester, mentioning it in case it does)

What I’m seeing online is the white vinegar and distilled water mix but wasn’t sure if vinegar was going to be too harsh since I don’t see any polyester specific methods (does that matter?)

Have also read I need to wet the entire seat slightly with that mixture and let it dry evenly, does this sound ok?

Looks like grime. For context, I removed a panel from kitchen cabinet and found this under neath it. I live in an old apartment.

We bought an old house that has seen a lot of use. Mostly all doors in the house have wear and gunk around door handles just from hands over the years. Any recommendations on getting rid of the gunk and to help restore the wood?

When I was driving somebody back and forth from the gas station my gas container tipped over in the backseat. I don't think very much gas spilled out but the smell has been lingering in my car. I have sprayed dish soap and run a drill brush over it. I guess I haven't tried extracting yet. I also dumped a lot of baking soda on it. That doesn't seem to have helped either. I was thinking of vinegar next but I want to get other tips please

Moved into this rental and realized how dirty these blinds are. Trying to find the best way to clean them without ruining them. They might be beyond saving but I thought it would be worth an ask. They’re very fragile and I’m sure they can’t really be scrubbed too hard without getting ruined. Let me know!
