I picked up this little tikes car for free for my little one in the hope that I could clean it, spray paint and give it a new lease of life for him but I can't figure out how to get rid of the dirt that's inside the car. Any ideas would be so helpful please! I've already tried rinse and shake and Milton's but because I can't get inside to scrub I don't know how to loosen it all? Thanks!

I've been told by two people they are not, as you still need to rinse the dishes beforehand? Is this true?

Any ideas on how to clean it to make it look new would be appreciated. I bought it and the next day got a free vacuum from a friend that was moving so I don’t need this one anymore. Problem is that my roommate used it to clean flour and the whole thing is crusty now.

Some of you may remember my previous post about my father’s smoking room at his house. Well I had another fun surprise. Apparently his tub in the master bath clogged at some point. Rather than have us come help, he just shut the door and forgot about it. The door was basically blocked off with furniture. Commercial grade bleach, coveralls and a full respirator went a long way.

Just like the post title. Adult male that has a hard time maintaining the home. Combo of depression and rarely home. The few times that I choose to cook at home something is always burning under whichever one I need to use. Been trying to do better with home cooked meals but hate having to smell/taste burnt/charcoal. By extension, are the spirals suppose to look like that or do I have to clean them with something specific?

Is there one task you never postpone because you know it will become more difficult if you do? It could be wiping kitchen counters washing dishes cleaning the shower taking out the trash or something else.

Bought a dining set secondhand. The dining chairs are all extremely sticky in certain areas. Appears to be build-up from grease/body oils since it’s mainly on the parts of the chairs that you touch with your hands.

A little soap and water did nothing. Murphys oil did work but looks like it removed the finish which I’m sad about. I didn’t even really scrub very hard. Hoping I don’t need to refinish all of the chairs…

I’m moving into a new apartment. It looks clean but there’s just a funky, stale kinda smell that’s not going away. I move my stuff in next week. I’ve cleaned the floors already which did not address the issue. What else can I try? (I am opening windows, but this is texas in n summertime so that’s not a long term fix.) thank you!!

I might share a tip that many implement on a regular basis and I’m just late at the party, but let’s do it anyway. A simple trick I use before cleaning my house is spraying a few drops of a nice perfume inside the vacuum filter. It’s just as simple as that and it works wonders! The nice thing about this is you can switch your "home" fragrance as often as you like—as opposed to sticks in a jar or regular home fragrance sprays. Enjoy!

I realized why my microfiber towels were just smearing water around on my counters instead of actually absorbing anything. Apparently out my roommate was tossing them in the wash with regular fabric softener and dryer sheets..

It leaves a waxy coating that makes them practically waterproof. So I tripped them with hot water and vinegar and they finally absorb again. So please keep this in mind!

Hi all, have any of you had success in cleaning a water stain from polyester fabric? (Not sure if it matters but it’s recycled polyester, mentioning it in case it does)

What I’m seeing online is the white vinegar and distilled water mix but wasn’t sure if vinegar was going to be too harsh since I don’t see any polyester specific methods (does that matter?)

Have also read I need to wet the entire seat slightly with that mixture and let it dry evenly, does this sound ok?

There are soooo many cleaning products on the market, what is a list of what I should look into getting?

Do yall have suggestions? Good brands? I’m slightly on a budget, so I am not looking to splurge unless it’s REALLY good LOL!

Black coffee has spilled on the wall about 12 hours ago and I am struggling to get it out. The paint is matte white. I initially used dishwashing liquid with water. Then I used warm water with white vinegar. Then I used three magic sponges. Are there any further recommendations as the stain is still there. Especially the streaks at the bottom show up a lot.

previous owners installed new windows outside the old ones? It was I got the bottoms clean. I’m just not sure how to get to the inside of the top of the windows any ideas?

My mom is giving me her bed frame which is made of fabric but there’s a stain from where she would routinely put her head on the frame.

Now, I’m just curious how to get rid of the stain, considering I can’t put a bed head in the washing machine.

That tub is probably over 30 years old and I'm disgusted by the way it looks.

I've tried chlorine cleaner but to no avail.

Any tips? Note that I will probably not be able to get a lot of cleaning products that are common in the US as I'm from Germany. Best just describe what kind of cleaner you'd use and I'll probably be able to find a similar product.

I tried spraying this with a shower mold solution my grandpa made (alcohol+vinegar+dawn) and scrubbed it and it didn’t work. It kept coming back. It’s everywhere in our shower/bathtub area (none in the tub, just on the tiles). I’m getting worried that this might be mold. Should I call our landlord?

I tried to rub with vinrgar soaked tissue. Some specks faded easily but a few were hard. One remained.

I have had this pillow for years and i refuse to let it go but it needs a good washing. I never got around to it because it looks so intimidating to wash and I use a pillow cover all the time, however it’s been so long it’s time to stop avoiding it. Do I even wash the filling part? Is it safe to put in the washer? Any tips will be greatly appreciated.

I decided to just wash the outside cover for now and will try to lock in soon to wash the stuffing by hand in a bin. If that doesn’t work i’ll just buy a new pillow that is similar to this one. I just didn’t want to let go because this pillow is SOOOO comfy lol.

Also no, that is not mold, the pillow stuffing was always that color lol.

I was gifted this bag which is in impeccable condition, except for what appears to be a paint or maybe nail polish stain. The bag is real leather, is there any way to salvage this?

My boyfriend was sleeping with an instant ice pack bandaged to his ankle and it burst while he was sleeping. We washed it out of the sheets but now it is GLUED to the carpet like I can knock on it and it’s hard as a rock. What does he do ???!!!!
