Big girl climbed out for a walkabout while I was removing hornworm debris. She’s the only one of my old worlds I trust enough to let do that. Love her to death and hope to get her a nice man one day ❤️

Hello,
This is my first time trying to sex my T so I might be wrong.
I think it’s a female, but I’m not 100% sure and I would really appreciate your opinion.
The molt is from my Grammostola rosea.
Thank you for your help !

I have had this brazillian black tarantula for a few months. I got her from a reptile rescue and they had no idea her age but shes about the size of an oreo and for the first few months she ate fine but now whenever I put Dubias in her enclosure she either acts like she doesnt see them or runs from them. You can see that the first one she let escape into the soil after it was dropped in front of her. The other she is ignoring by her leg.

Hello! I am looking for plants for my spoods. My MAIN question is; are there any toxic ones to avoid?
Also, if i wanted any cute, ideally halloween, mini decorations, what would yall recommend?
TIA 🥰🥰

I love tarantulas, but have severe arachnophobia. So this crochet baby will have to do. 🫶🏼

Thumbelina arrived here on 10/7 , refused meal on the 15/7 and molted 20/7
I know they are fast growers but i expected it to take me out on dinner first at least before the first molt 😭😅
And i have been informed about the high humidity needs but is there a simple trick to know when it’s too damp ? I tried to stick my repot thermometer with hydrometer probe in there and rely on numbers but she was is in a disagreement with me about that probe being in her house so i removed it again because it was stressing her out

Thanks!

So, I’m leaning towards male, since I see the dot, but most of my collection is brachypelmas, so I am a bit inexperienced! I found that taking screenshots of a video can provide a clearer pic that a zoomed-in picture, which is why the second “pic” is a screenshot.

I’m about to become a first time tarantula owner of a 1/2” Arizona blonde sling. What I’m most nervous about keeping a spider this small is properly feeding it. Are fruit flies adequate? They just seem a little small even for such a little baby. I’ve seen some people say they use small freshly killed crickets and roaches or even just half of a cricket. Is this normal? And does it work?
