Announcement Automod will now exempt all prior posters or commentor's in the sub.

I have added an exemption so that if you are either an approved user OR have posted in the past successfully your post will go through. This will reduce the amount of posts from actual humans or prior contributors getting filtered to the que. For newcomers only the requirements will be 100 karma and 1 year of account age.

I also added protection against users without any community karma that attempt to post links or use generic sales language. But this should drastically reduce the chance of a bot getting in while keeping users able to post freely.

Announcement Mod Announcement! Auto mod has been set up and filters tightened.

Starting today any account with under 100 combined karma and OR is less than 30 days old will immediately have it's posts and comments removed by the new automoderator configuration. This is in effort to combat brazen bot account activity. I have had to deal with around 5-6 of them in the past week reuploading old posts and stealing upvotes from that. One was today. If you are a real person below the requirements contact the mods for approval. This has been an announcement, have a good day.

Just wanted to show off this gem that I was so lucky to be given.
How rare are these wrangler edition s10's?
Also roughly how much would this be worth? It's got 105,000km never seen winter. I don't plan to sell it, I'd just like to have a number in mind

Showing off my ride Had to run the portable air pump. Bike tires were flat for whatever reason. But thought the photo kinda looked cool. (Yes the bike and truck have the same tire valve caps lol).

Repair Question Ac problems

Post image
15 Upvotes

Recently overhauled ac on my 95 s10 still wasn’t getting cold air in cab. The accumulator is cold so ac is working. Replaced the ac/heat blend door actuator and the blend door will only stay open for heat and won’t close all the way for the cold air to come through the cab, it moves but not enough. Could my ac control in the dash be the issue?

Im doing an exahsut loop for a sound im chasing. The loop tucks in real nice under the trans cross member on the passenger side but im wondering if the amount of pipes in one spot will overheat the floor. On a side note does the x pipe on top or under look better?

Repair Question Installed updated injectors are giving me a hard time how do I keep this connector in place? 4.3 engine

Post image
2 Upvotes

I finally got around to putting my engine back together after a lower intake manifold job after firing it up I had a misfire on cylinder three. I previously had this issue when I attempted to install it the first time and the tip got stuck inside the port I was able to fish it out and order a new tip just to be sure this wouldn’t happen again it seems the tip is able to separate from the injector somewhat easily is there anything I could apply or use to help keep them together?

I live in a snowy place and the 4x4 is a big bonus, but it has some good body rust. And it had a fairly reliable motor with decent power.

Repair Question 1985 2.8l v6 s10 high idle and rough starting

Working on a family friends s10, it has a rough turn over that usually requires starter fluid. When it goes it shakes quite a bit and sits at like 4k rpm and when I rev it goes past the red to where I imagine a 8k would be then sits to a 5500 when i lay back off. Also shakes like crazy idling. I am pretty unfamiliar with S10s so im not quite sure if this is a common issue or where to start. I will say big tube on the right coming from the filter has a few holes but i assume that intake and while isnt good, isnt exactly urgent. Thank you for any advice given!!

I have a set of 16” wheels from a 93 Camaro. My daughter has a 1992 S10 extended cab 4x4. They don’t have any tires on them so I can’t tell exactly how they will fit the truck. Has anyone here put them on a 4x4? TIA

Repair Question 2001 GMCSonoma

Post image

So I have myself a 2001 GMC Sonoma with the 2.2L I4 flex fuel with the 5 speed manual. So I recently started to have a problem with my truck idling high I've replaced the idle air control valve and that lowered the idle but its still idling too high so I scanned it with an obd2 reader and there was no codes but the downstream was o2 valves it was reading was changing and almost maxing out cause a misfire on cylinder 4 so I replaced it hoping it would fix it and nothing changed. Ive also checked the throttle body and the throttle body position sensor there not sticky, ive tried to look for egr valve but I can't find one, and ive also sprayed break clean around my engine to look for a vacuum leak. So my first question is do I have an EGR system and the second question is Do yall have any idea for whats going on with my truck

Since the last post asking about carburetors: I've done quite a bit to this truck.
I finally figured out where the idle screw is on the verajet. it was behind the coolant temp sender. but! it no longer sounds like it has a cam! fires right up, runs beautiful, especially after the rebuild i did before.

Both windows roll down, now. the horn works, i replaced the turn signal flasher, not because it was bad, but i genuinely couldn't hear it XD

I put over 10k miles on this truck since buying it. Couldn't be happier.

I do still have the bed topper. lately: we've been needing to haul a whole food tent setup weekly, and i just left the topper off to make life easier.

One thing that really impressed me was it's performance in the snow. For being a RWD truck: I can barely count on one hand the amount of times i needed chains the whole season.

What a machine!

edit: completely forgot i already did a post talking about the carb. however: how was behind the temp sender the spot of all time? took me days to find it XD
