Big Birthday
50 today and collected my birthday present to myself this morning. Super happy š Of course had to complement it with some BDK Impadia.

I have to admit while I tend to prefer smaller watches, this wears unbelievably well for a big watch.

After nearly 4 months and me actually buying a different watch on the gray market, I got an āout of the blueā call today. Yes, this is the exact spec I asked for. I think the fluted is too ālook at meā for my taste and I like the comfort and less obvious scratches of the Jubilee.
Zero spend history and I had literally just given up and never stopped by or checked in.
If you want it and are patient, it really does happen!

Roughly 3 year wait time. 2 weeks before my wedding. Relationship with my AD who advocated for me. Been my dream watch since it was announced. Will be on wrist every day for a very long time and passed down to my son. Ecstatic.

Picked up this 216570 from 2018, yesterday, and loving it! It feels like the least hype Rolex and just a bit quirky and interesting. For a 2018, the movement is running spectacularly well with near perfect rate and over 290 amplitude and love that I won't have to worry about the low amplitude issue of the 32xx movements and will remain serviceable forever with the regular swiss lever and serviceable barrel!
Took some fun close up shots with my phone and honestly the printing is pretty fantastic. I also love that even though they cover the hands and indices with black, they're still 18k white gold underneath.

Iāve been on the list for about 3-4 months, so not too long, but I also live in a fairly rural area with only 1 AD within a hundred fifty miles. About three weeks ago I saw they had a 1999 14060 in their CPO stock. I messaged the AD and got in the car. When I got there she told me it had sold online that morning. She sent me a message but I didnāt see it. The next day I went by a prominent jeweler that had been an AD but no longer and they were selling preowned Rolex (not certified). They had a 2019 114060 in their preowned case and I bought it! Five days later the AD calls and said the 126110 had come in. So I went from zero Submariners to 2 in less than a week. Wasnāt planning on spending that kind of money but I couldnāt pass up the new sub at retail. Iām leaning toward keeping them both.

And so ends the most convoluted 18-month process Iāve ever been through.
Looking back, I really had no idea what I was signing up for, but Iām glad itās finally over.
I initially registered my interest with two major ADs that had stores around the country, but never really got a clear understanding of how the allocation process actually worked.
The first AD eventually got back to me a few months later, only to tell me they had no record of my enquiry and couldnāt remember what Iād submitted. We had to start the process again, and I only received a confirmation email after re-registering my interest. In hindsight, I probably lost four months because of that.
I then tried another AD. They were much more receptive, but gave me a wait time of anywhere between six months and⦠five years. My first follow-up/cadence message didnāt even get a response, so I decided to move on.
Eventually I found an independent AD with just one sister store (not part of a large chain). They confirmed that one of the dial colours I wanted was realistically achievable within 1-5 months if I put down a 50% deposit. Six weeks later (today), I got the email.
A huge thank you to this community. Reading everyoneās experiences helped me take a much more targeted approach, and I genuinely donāt think Iād be wearing this watch without the advice I found here.
A slightly delayed wedding gift to myself but definitely worth the wait.

Let me start by saying that in 2026 I am aware there are watches out there far more reliable, sturdy, accurate, most importantly cheap/expendable to use than a luxury watch at that price point. However has any of you used/using their Explorer or OP for mountaineering/hiking, camping, mountain-biking, military activities or general outdoor āextremeā or none exteme adventurous operations/pass times etc) and whatās your experience thus far? Iād love to hear your stories.

Guys, Iām a regular middle aged middle income Rolex owner (2016 Milgauss) headed to the Atlantis resort next week. Iāve been on the waitlist with my AD for 8 months for a simple blue dial Datejust with the jubilee bracelet. I was looking for advice.
First can amazon ship knee pads to the resort hotel room, or do I need a real address? Iāve never had to fellate a man before, is it important that I stay hard the whole time? I can bring my viagra if necessary. Iām middle aged so I have a large unused stash on hand.
Anyway, saw a few people post this summer about getting rejected by this AD so I was hoping to up my game. Let me know how to best perform the humiliation ritual here.

What would be needed to be able to be offered this?

Everyone always seems to do these steering wheel shots and they always seem well received (/s), so I thought Iād do the same.
Apologies. Next time Iāll take the photo in my crappy Old Ford instead š

Wailea Beach on Maui. Filmed White Lotus Season 1 at the Four Seasons here and all the beach scenes were filmed on this beach.
Also, datejusts can go in the ocean too. Probably better not to dive with them though.
