Thoughts on uni students wearing rolex to school?
Hi so Iām starting uni this fall and Iām still debating if I should bring my watch. I wear a two tone rolex Daytona white dial and also have a more lowkey watch ( the Chanel ceramic watch)

Any lead?
I went to Rolex Omotesando, and the price was only around Ā„997,000. Unfortunately, they didnāt have any stock available. Any Rolex store?

Is walking into a Rolex AD and asking for a Submariner no date a reach for someone with no purchase history?

What is the business case for sending these emails?
Received an email from WoS today, and Iām not sure what the point of it is?
Itās so generic that it didnāt even mention the reference Iām waiting for. First one Iāve had from WoS, but I have had something similar from another local AD. Been on the list - yeah I know thereās NO list - for just over one year.
On the rare occasion Iāve visited WoS and mentioned that Iām waiting on a Starbucks they couldnāt have been less encouraging. Pretty much āyeah thatās not happening, have you heard of CPOā. To the point where I donāt even consider there is the tiniest possibility of getting one from them. Statistically more chance of a lottery win.
As with everything Rolex AD related, such an odd, and fascinating, way to operate.

Does it fit me?
Coming from a Tudor 38, i'm torn between explorer 36 vs explorer 40. 36 feels tiny, 40 feels ok but slightly bigger than what im used to. 1st photo 40, 2nd photo 36.

My first AD purchase
My last post apparently was not credible enough so posting another one with a photo taken at the AD.
Basically, I was consistently visiting this AD (in Asia) for about 2 months, then I got super lucky and was offered this piece.
I have always wanted a GMT and I travel frequently so I think the watch is suited for me.
This was my first ever watch purchase, so I am really happy with the result. I think the Batman complements my grandfatherās TT DJ quite well and I plan to wear them very often (you can see the DJ in the corner of the first photo). There will for sure be scratches on the PCL but I think it will āpersonaliseā the watch so I donāt mind.
Hopefully I can pass down the Batman in the future like my grandfather did.
I hope everyone here gets their desired piece soon, good luck!

Is it easier to get the Datejust or Submariner as a first watch retail?

Bahamas Rolex
Guys, Iām a regular middle aged middle income Rolex owner (2016 Milgauss) headed to the Atlantis resort next week. Iāve been on the waitlist with my AD for 8 months for a simple blue dial Datejust with the jubilee bracelet. I was looking for advice.
First can amazon ship knee pads to the resort hotel room, or do I need a real address? Iāve never had to fellate a man before, is it important that I stay hard the whole time? I can bring my viagra if necessary. Iām middle aged so I have a large unused stash on hand.
Anyway, saw a few people post this summer about getting rejected by this AD so I was hoping to up my game. Let me know how to best perform the humiliation ritual here.

One of these is a highly precise, luxurious and incredibly well built engineering marvel⦠and the other is an old BMW.
Everyone always seems to do these steering wheel shots and they always seem well received (/s), so I thought Iād do the same.
Apologies. Next time Iāll take the photo in my crappy Old Ford instead š

When did the whole "List" and forming a "relationship" with an AD become a thing?
On another post I made, I asked about prior purchase experiences when you could just walk or call a AD and get a watch https://www.reddit.com/r/rolex/comments/1uwaxjj/whats_your_it_used_to_be_easy_to_get_a_rolex_at/ . As recently as 2018-2019 people said they were able to do so. So when did this all change and did it have to do with COVID and the stimulus injections into the US economy? What was the impetus of the changes and when did they really start?

Headed to Europe next week
And would like to buy a Sub. Iāll be in Prague, Vienna, Budapest and Barcelona primarily. All of those airports plus Frankfurt as well.
Where might be my best chance or at least what stores are recommended?
Thanks!

Datejust 41 Wait time
What is a reasonable wait time for a 41 mm mint green Datejust on jubilee? I have $20k spend history and have been waiting since March 2025.

SD43 service. How to store before service
Hello all. My SD43 is losing time, seems the second hand stops moving even though fully wound.
Bought right after the release and never had a service.
Live in WA (high sales tax), but headed to Vegas this weekend. Routinely go to Portland (no sales tax).
Will drop it off at one of the above boutiques for a service. Small chip on crystal but donāt want it replaced as itās my daily and I wear it as long as still holds pressure.
Questions:
Primary question is how should I store it? Let die? Pull the crown? Just donāt want to do more damage if preventable.
Cost? Iām seeing around $800. Crystal another $400 per Google.
Do they polish the watch looking new? Would be nice to have it look new again but does the factory overpolish?
Thanks in advance.

āRegistration of Interest Reminderā email from Watches of Switzerland?
Just got this email from WoS reminding me of my Rolex ROI. Been on the list for about a year now, checking in regularly with the AD but no luck so far.
Curious if this is just an automated thing they send out periodically, or if it means anything? Has anyone else received this and if so, did a watch follow shortly after (or ever)?
Starting to wonder if these reminder emails are just their way of keeping you engaged without any real movement on the list. Would love to hear othersā experiences.

When your watch visits its birthplaceā¦
Sometimes the background is as interesting as the watch.
Standing outside HƤnggi in Switzerland, a company known for precision microstamping and components for the Swiss watch industry.
ā¦donāt know whether theyāve ever supplied Rolex. If they did, Iām not allowed to say.
Either way, it seemed like the perfect place to wear a GMT-Master II Coke.

Does 36mm or 41mm look better my wrist?
Ignore the looks of the watch itself, I just tried both of these on for size.

Clear Case Back Question
So Iām new to Rolex (Tudor as well) and genuinely curious why they donāt do more clear/open case back models or options? Omega, IWC, Grand Seiko, JLC many others have been doing them for years on several models. Tudor now has a couple models with it in their current catalog.
I get that maybe 10-15 years ago it really impacted WR, but doesnāt seem like it does that much anymore with better materials, seals, etc. If they are moving upstream away from more ātoolishā towards more luxury focused, it seems design wise, on their less tool forward watches it would make sense too.
It also seems that would help curb the fake/replica market if you could easily look at the back of a DD, DJ or even sub or OP and tell itās fake from the movement which mostly seems to be the gold standard way of identifying if the watch is fake.
Am I missing something here? Maybe there are other reasons and obviously none of us may know in reality just curious others thoughts. I know they donāt classically do a ton of movement decoration but I love just seeing the movements even if they are more boring.

31mm OP multicolour jubilee - how hard is it to get?
Hello! Want to buy a gift :)
Really like it. Donāt think you can read the time š but as a piece of jewellery on your wrist looks very nice. Is this a hard to get piece ? An easy one?
Havenāt seen much by way of posting / supply of these. Traditionally I would think this size is easier to get ? AD being AD vague but in this case I think he doesnāt actually know. He had to check if they even made it in this size!!
Thank you !

Went to my AD for a try out, which one is your favourite? Without considering about the resale value. At first I wanted to get the Bruce Wayne and a DJ41, but now Iām seriously considering the Yachtmaster. It is so freaking good IRL.

help me to buy my first rolex on boutuqie
Hello.
First of all, I am new to this subreddit and I live in Istanbul. I work as a manager in the private aviation sector and I am addicted to Swiss watches. I bought my first Rolex ref14060M Submariner (2006) in 2017 and my second Rolex ref15223 Oyster Perpetual Date in 2025, but ofc from grey market. When I decided to buy a 116500ln on grey market, my girlfriend asked āwhy don't you buy it from a Rolex dealerā. We went to the Rolex Zorlu Center Istanbul store but they treated me quite insincerely and badly. Still, I registered the name for 126500ln (since 116500 retired) (knowing well it wouldn't arrive for years or maybe never). Then I said I should go and get in line for a watch that they really want to sell me, so I entered the Rolex boutique on BaÄdat Street in Istanbul and there they wrote my name for the ref134300 blue dial oyster perpetual. AD was more friendly and warm
Frankly, my question to you is this, because I've been reading here for a while, most people buy their watches from boutiques; how can I improve my relationship with my ad and how can I start buying the watches I want from Rolex? As someone who tries to be a true collector and buys watches not to sell them, how can I leave a good reputation for boutique watches in this regard? And according to my ad, rolex only allow to write name for 1 sports 1 classic watch, but is there any chance that a watch I want or don't want will be offered to me in any boutique anywhere in the world? How does Rolex decide?
Thank you everyone.

I'm torn...
My sister in law bought her husband this sub and a Starbucks. He doesn't like this one.
She offered this unworn to me for $12.5k. It's obviously a classic but I already have Daytonas (TT and black dial SS), DJ blue dial, and GMT TT.
I'm on the fence..know I'm going to get some haterz but need advice - what would you do if you were in a similar situation please?
