Team chemistry and camaraderie are a hell of an asset during a season like this. It’s obvious this team is clicking off the field now, and their ability to click equaling winning ballgames should not be discounted. Everyone from Duran to Contreras has a role to play in this team’s success this season, and they aren’t aging at a rate that requires them to flip older vets for younger guns at the deadline.

Put Arias and Mayer/Campbell in a deal to get Neto. Do not send someone with Duran’s emotional and athletic impact away in the middle of this run. It would kill it immediately.

Like, I get that this team exorcised the Curse of the Bambino several times over and were clinically dead three weeks ago, but this is not how it’s supposed to go.

You should know that this post is all about reverse-psychiatry. Also I’m drunk, AND Catholic so every second of my life is spent expecting the worst.

First of all, Red Sox Jesus if you’re out there she said to CALL HER (her exact words were ‘oy vey, maybe my son will act like a son one day and check in with her mother, inshallah’ which frankly gave me a lot to unpack).

But more importantly, she said that if the Red Sox LOSE tonight, it is 100% the fault of ME, djdubbsincambridge. To be honest it sucked to hear that, but for all of you that have been stressed and afraid to watch or listen to or attend the game or wondering what pair of lucky thongs you should wear or WHATEVER, you can all now stop stressing and enjoy the game, with absolutely no fear of being the reason the team doesn’t win this next one.
