Durbin and Bregman stats almost identical...for a fraction of the cost...and drama.

Which team wins a 7 game series? The 1946 lineup or our current one? 😅

Life-long SF Giants fan here. My family and I had our first Fenway experience last week, and ohmygod thank you, Red Sox, Boston fans and all of Fenway. Admittedly, we rolled in feeling pretty cocky about our ballpark. Oracle is a gem. (The Giants team this year, not so much.) We came to Fenway for the history, the experience and of course Ted Williams’ red seat. But after watching Wilyer’s two homers, a big smack from Willson, the magic of Aroldis and the glee of 35,000 fans, we are hooked.
Being a Giants fan is traditionally an experience in slow torture. But between our pitchers who boycotted Pride Night, our atrocious bullpen and our overpaid “stars” (looking at you, Devers), there hasn’t been a lot of joy to be had here in the Bay. Thank you, Boston, for reminding us why we love baseball and why baseball is the best of us.
Now let’s smack the ever-loving shit out of the Orioles. GO SOX!

Today the Boston Red Sox will tie the all time franchise record and then break it in the double header. I’m checking in from behind enemy lines in NYC. I have never seen this many people wearing Red Sox gear in NY as I have over the past week. You’d think it’s the playoffs. Where is everyone from? What parts of the world have Red Sox fans?

The winning streak has been amazing, but that aside, winning 1 or 2 games today is so important.
First off, the Os were playing well going into this series and these games are "must win" for them. Winning puts more distance between them in the wildcard. Also, it would be nice to pick up another game versus the Mariners. We will eventually lose some close ones and getting a little breathing room would be nice. Bennett was nails on Friday on the first half of the DH, hopefully he brings it again today.

Crochet noted he understands why he’s being asked if he will return at all this year, but he doesn’t have a timeline, and the injury is very different from original diagnosis.
"It’s not something that you can really muscle through because it’s quite literally the most important part of what I do, and it’s not a muscular injury that you would expect to see healing at a specific rate of time.
It’s a little bit more vague than that. So for me, it’s like I just have to let it heal and I have to build up the strength in the surrounding areas accordingly, too.”

Is anyone else feeling great about how we get a chance to both tie and break the record in the same day? I think that going to bed last night 1 game short of the record would have opened up a lot more ways for guys to let the pressure get to them. Assuming game 1 continues to go in our favor, the boys will have the chance to make history with the day's momentum already on their side and with very little time to stop and think about it. That's a pretty great recipe, I think.
