The Montague Soapbox Races are on for this year! This event is incredibly fun to watch (and my husband races in it)! Unfortunately last year it was cancelled for various reasons (including not enough people signing up). We're trying to get the word out to more people. There used to be a few soapbox races but now they seem to be hard to find. I'm hoping some of you might be handy and interested in participating!

The race happens at Unity Park in Montague/Turners Falls. Children as young as 8 can participate too (they start lower down the hill than the adults).

How long do you all commute to work?

I currently have a high paying job in Concord, Massachusetts, which I’m very thankful for however I’ve been dreaming about living in Northampton. Unfortunately it looks like the commute would be an hour and 30 minutes.

I’m trying to see if it’s worth living out there despite having a bad commute.

Have any of you parked on nearby streets and walked into look park for concerts? The $20 for parking on top of the concert ticket seems a little excessive.

Does anyone know the gentleman who sits at the highway exit over by the shell station going towards holyoke, i've seen him almost every day when i go to work for a long time now, i'd like to make him a bag of things he might need. (i know just asking him outright would be the best option, but traffic usually doesnt allow me to stop and talk)
