My elderly parent has been using an iPhone 8 for the last 7 years. I know this is a miracle. Recently, it has stopped charging. We tried replacing the cables and that didn’t work so it’s definitely the phone itself.

Is there any hope of getting the phone fixed (the port or whatever where it connects) or do we just need to get him a new phone? We’re reluctant because he’s so used to it and learning something new is going to be tough.

Hi guys, I have the 17 pro and it just got the most recent update. I'm trying to airdrop pictures for work from my phone to iMac and it keeps saying airdrop failed. It won't let me send any pictures. I've tried, turning my phone on and off, turning the Bluetooth/wifi on and off, and setting the airdrop receiving settings as everyone for 10 minutes. Please help!! Thanks!

What Im running into is I have duplicated photos in my icloud backup and in my iCloud photos folder on my PC. I imported multiple copies by accident, and now cant delete them - they just keep backing each other up. Is there a way to say, select all pictures prior to a specif date, delete them, and then re-upload them? The struggle comes from thinking i can just import google photos and that whole chaos.

Also - i think one more thing, is there a setting that I can select that would keep all photos synced with my PC to be downloaded onto my PC automatically? Currently I have to download one by one every time i want to see a picture or video on the PC or select a bunch and select keep on PC for each and every file -- i would rather just have them all backed up on my PC at all times.

Or is this not how any of this works?

My iphone14 fell into my bath water (clean just water) and i turned it off immediatly etc.. but now after 12hour, hes dry but cant charge anymore (bootloop etc..) hes stuck at 1% and my sim card isnt detected anymore, when im on the locking screen, it last 1minute max before he bootloop again. idk what to do pls help me

I have an iPhone SE (2nd generation) on iOS 26.5.2 that’s had a frequent issue for the last several months where the people I’m calling say they either can’t hear me or I sound very muffled. Only sometimes am I able to speak directly into the bottom mic with speakerphone on for someone to hear me. I don’t have any issues hearing the other person’s voice. I make sure I’m not on mute, have tried messing with the voice isolation settings in the control center and turning off the phone noise cancellation setting in accessibility but nothing has changed. This only happens with regular phone calls. I just tested my microphone by recording video using both cameras and it works perfectly. I also made a WhatsApp video call last week that went through fine so I know it’s a software issue. I don’t know what else there is to change in my settings.

iPhone 16 Pro on 26.5.2

The phone just alarmed three times and flashed the camera flash. Then it powered off. Got it powered back on and it indicates that there was an emergency sos from the phone because of the side and volume buttons being held down.
All I can think is that the phone was in the drill holder of camp chair and that pushed the buttons. That doesn’t explain the shut down though, unless it was unrelated to the alert and just happened because of the button presses.
Anyone seen this before? Know what caused it? Google wasn’t helpful.

I’ve never downloaded this app, nor would I trust an app called untitled. Has anyone ever seen this app or know what it’s for?

This has been happening to me for quite some time now. This concerns my and also my girlfriend‘s phone aswell. Usually we set like 10 alarms between 7-9 am. We constantly oversleep because the alarm won‘t go off. Altough when we open the iphone clock app, the alarms are still turned on. Which shouldn‘t be the case since it‘s just a one time alarm and if they went off they shouldn‘t be marked as on. I don‘t even know if they went off at all and it just bugs the both of us a lot since this always happens.
Things I already tried were going to settings, then searchinh „attention“ and tapping on the „face ID & Attention“ setting and disabling the „Attention-Aware Features“ because I heard that allegedly an AI system of some sort is „checking“ if it should ring an alarm or not and kind of can decide for you if it‘s the right time to ring an alarm or notification (which I personally think is a stupid feature anyway). Even after disabling it, it still didn‘t work.

Both of our phones are the Iphone 14. My Iphone has IOS 26.5 and my girlfriend‘s has IOS 26.4.2

Did you have any similiar experiences with the iphone alarm app? And does anyone know how I can fix it?

We don’t have wireless in my house so I’m always on mobile data. My iphone refuses to sync unless on wifi so I have about 10k videos and photos waiting to be backed up, which is so annoying considering I’m PAYING for the storage.

I can’t hotspot to my macbook because I need to update the phone, but the update won’t work because when I tried to sync, my storage increased. Now I don’t have the room to update until I transfer the data myself.

I plugged the cable into the macbook but sync button does nothing. Just runs for a few seconds and stops. I can’t update my MacBook either because I can’t hotspot to it.

What do I do?? My phones fuller than ever trying to clear space. I deleted apps for the update but now iCloud has made my photos bigger temporarily to sync. This is so frustrating I’m so done with apple.

iPhone 17 on any app I go on when I flip the camera nothing happens I legit don’t know what I did

I’m almost full storage that’s why i want to reset my iPhone 14. everytime i click ‘erase all content and settings’ the icloud was log out but my apps and data is still on device. do you have an idea how to completely factory reset it? i still have my passcode and icloud.

Why should I check daily for the sound if it is low and increase it? Until when will I keep missing calls and alarms because I don’t hear them? And no not because I was busy or tired sometimes I grab the iPhone17 Pro Max and open the screen then I just see it! Any solution for this issue? The face recognition is off I guess and I am not in silent mode so I don’t think that they are the issue, also please don’t recommend buying a new device actually I have an older phone but it is annoying to switch the SIM cards each time between them. I have an iPhone with 256 GB of storage, and it's now almost completely full (about 99%), mostly with photos and videos.

I'd like to transfer everything to my PC and then free up space on the phone. What's the best way to do this? Is a USB cable enough, or do I need a specific app or another method?

My main concern is preserving everything exactly as it is:

• Original photo and video quality
• Live Photos
• Metadata (dates, locations, camera info, etc.)
• Albums and organization

Ideally, if I ever decide to copy everything back to my iPhone in the future, I'd like the photos and videos to appear exactly like the originals, with all their information intact.

What would you recommend? I've never owned an iPhone before, so I'm not sure what the best approach is.

TLDR: What is the best way to transfer all my photos and videos to a Windows PC while preserving original quality, Live Photos, metadata, albums, and as much organizational information as possible, so that I can potentially restore them to an iPhone in the future?

My daughter's screen time is and has been messed up for a long time - like years. The issue is the time she uses on the iPhone turns to gray, and not counted against how much time we give her. I've actually witnessed the colors change from blue, etc, to gray.

Here is what we've tried already:

• Erased her phone and set it back up, fresh
• Removed her from our family account, and added her back in
• We bought a new phone (because it was time - not because of this issue)
• Changed the name of her phone (this was a suggestion from the Genus Bar)

She has an iPhone 17e, running iOS 26.5.2.

Started yesterday. Whenever I play anything with audio, my phone (iPhone 17) keeps switching audio sources and pausing. See video for example. IOS version 26.5.2. Does anyone know what is happening and any options to fix it

Whenever I’m on TikTok or YouTube, and I’m on no volume at all, I’ll swipe out of the app and audio starts blasting at full volume for about 3 seconds. Does anyone know why this keeps happening??

iphone 13 here. tap to pay has always worked beautifully, but for the last few weeks it just stopped. my wallet pops up no problem, but no reader will recognize it when i go to pay. i’ve restarted my phone and tried without the phone case, but still nothing!

I used to be able to control Spotify from my lock screen, as well as other apps (such as strava), but now that option no longer shows up on my lock screen!! I have used that feature for literally a decade and I have no idea where it went or how to put it back. Can someone help :(

My phone keeps connecting to people’s phones while I’m listening to music, is there a way to get this to stop? There isn’t even a little “i” symbol next to the phone name, so I can’t click to forget the device. TIA

I’ve been trying to figure this out for a long time, but I have came to a conclusion that my phone is the issue. I have tried different Bluetooth connectors in my car for my phone, but they all sound so quiet. I have checked all the settings on my phone to ensure my volume is not being hindered by anything, but it doesn’t seem to be the case. When my friends connect to my Bluetooth, their phone sounds great and the volume can go up and down just fine. I I thought when I was getting a new phone this problem would be fixed, but it’s the same. Can anybody give me an explanation? I phone 16 pro max

My 17e gives me an error almost every time I try to plug it in saying liquid detected in charging port. There isn‘t any! The port is clean, the cable is clean, there is no water. I leave it on the DRY bathroom counter when I shower, but the fan is going and that never caused any problems the first few months of owning it, or when I had an older iphone. Any ideas??

Imgur tried to download it whats really going on Im seeing mixed opinions

Basically, I clicked on an Imgur link on my iPhone and it asked me if I wanted to download something called “sync-pixel”. I said no, got nervous and googled it, then factory reset and Im going to change my passwords. I see mixed opinions about it, people who don’t know what it is, people who say it’s just poorly programmed tracking, people who say it’s malware, etc. What is it and is it actually a problem?

1. The Face ID along with the front camera stopped working
2. Main camera stopped working
3. Flashlight works sometimes
