Discussion Guys, is it worth buying games that require a download to play?.

Help Where do you guys find the best deals on physical PS5 games?
I just got a PS5 with a disc drive and I’d rather buy physical games than digital. Where do you usually find the best deals on used or discounted PS5 games? Online or in-store recommendations are both appreciated.
Used is totally fine — just trying to find the best places to get games for good prices.

Help Video game Standees database
I’ve been looking for a few video game standees and can only find a handful selling for thousands of dollars on eBay. I figured if I’m going to invest that much why not just try creating some reproductions. Does anyone know of a company that works on standee reproductions? Or a database that houses information on old GameStop/ Walmart/ toysrus promos? I think it would be a fun project to try and figure out if something like that doesn’t exist.

Haul 6 more games for the collection.
Yesterday's mail brought me 6 more games for the collection. TMNT came in from LGR, took about a week from when I placed the order. I currently have 3 more games pre-ordered with them & I should start seeing them this fall. Jedi is also brand new. Everything else is cib & tested good to the "Press Start" screen. The codes for Minecraft Dungeons, Hogwarts, and Battlefront all still work.

Haul Found a Pokemon Stadium cartridge with the previous owner's name still written on the label
Part of what I love about buying used carts is the little bits of history that come with them. This Pokemon Stadium copy still has the original owner's name filled out on the This Game Pak Belongs To line: Michael H. No idea who he is, but it's a fun reminder that these things had a life before they ended up in my collection.
As a bonus, it still came with its Transfer Pak, which I honestly didn't expect. Feels like those get separated from the cart more often than not since people don't realize it's a separate accessory.
Do you all keep carts like this as-is, or do you ever try to clean up or replace labels that have writing on them. Curious how other collectors handle it.

Collection Point Blank PS1 Trilogy
It’s always lovely to find rare(ish) games. But when you find the full PS1 series in one fell swoop, it’s near sexual.
Point Blank 2 was the only one that isn’t CIB. 1 and 3 have the manuals, but I couldn’t break up the family.

Discussion Unexpected Find
I have never seen this game in person, only saw ads for it back in the day. Stumbled upon it for $90 at a local retro game store and decided to snag it. Has anyone else played it???

Discussion Found not one, but two gems.
This was on my stepmoms Xbox, and I’m pretty sure she got these back when they were easier than baking a cake to find.

Collection Guy was about to sell to gamestop
I went to gamestop for fun after my friend canceled on me, this guy was trading in this stuff to gamestop, and was scanning the last few things in, i asked him how much we was getting and he said 600, after i saw on the screen, i realized it was 600 in credit, and when i told him he asked how much it was cash, they told him 350. I immediately told him ill pay you what they were willing to give in credit for it, he agreed, after he said he would throw in pokemon Gold, and the target GBA for an extra 100, so i payed him 700. I think i did pretty well, and now my collection is like alot bigger than before. Already modded the DSI too 😋 i hope i did as good as i think i did

Collection Basement flooded; lost some of the collection
Pretty upset on a sentimental level. Recently moved back into my parents place and left some of my collection on the bottom shelves, knowing it was a temp move. I never anticipated a flood happening.
I know most of these aren't exactly rare, but some are harder to get (like the Simpsons games) and a lot I've owned since new, and are (were) in pristine condition with manuals and everything.
Disks are still fine, but the covers and manuals soaked up all the water.
Not sure where to go from here

Haul Nice Pawnshop Find
Usually this pawnshop only has common sports games but I found this gem today. They also had the Musashi sequel but the Manual was missing, I hear that game is not that good anyway.

Collection My Boxed Gameboy/GBA Collection!
Thought it was time I finally photographed!
All games are CIB - with all inserts and pamphlets etc.
Some of these games are from my childhood, but the majority of the collecting began in 2023.
Still have 5/6 on my list left to get 😁.
