Few days ago i had posted in another thread i was having trouble launching nukes. After a few people helped me out I was able to do it and when i did the Calvary showed up for the scorched earth public event. Might have been the most stressful mission I’ve done ever.

Not a day goes by that I don’t spend at least a few moments in my minds eye running through fields and forests and fire on my favorite loot routes in Appalachia playing Nuclear Winter. Maybe once a week I still google “bring back nuclear winter” hoping something has changed. I always die a little inside when the first comment I read from some Todd Howard Stan is how it’s never coming back because “ the community” doesn’t want it. Strange how some decide they speak for all of us. So instead they focused on funny flags and servers where there’s no limits on your best little camp. I basically checked out after the removal just out of anger. It was the first time I’d had a game taken from me forever, I can still play FF 6 on Super Nintendo whenever I want… but nuclear winter is just gone … forever. Fortnite is great… but it’s just not the same.
Anyways. This is my first Reddit post and I just hope a few people who miss the game and everyone they played it with see’s this and knows they’re not the only one. I miss you guys. I miss Nuclear Winter. I miss doing it together every night. I miss hating you when you win or use glitch exploits to cheat. I hope you’re doing well. And I hope that we meet again one day in the Valhalla that was Nuclear Winter.

The expression "bullet sponge" is an understatement! I am level 938 and have been playing META builds for a year and a half, maybe 2, i am not low on stopping power by any means. These infestation bosses aren't fun at all. 15 mins with a team of 3 players, all of us level 600+, and we could barely move the health bar. survivability in not the issue, we were all staying 75% and more on our health bars. ammo wasted for a serum I can make, a mine that i don't use, a bubblehead and a magazine which i have hundreds of each, one treasury note while having full gold for like a year, and a 4 star gun that i can craft a better version of. No fun, no good loot and no ammo.

End game where? This is not a fun activity for anyone, and the rewards not fit for even midgame players. Do the people at the studio play the game? or is it just the Microsoft Excel olympics over there. by god it's just a game and i need to chill, but these changes are baffling. this whole update was tested for like a month and a half at least mind you! it wasn't something they cooked up over the work week.

I don't want to solo the bosses, i don't want easy bosses, but this is ridicules. IDK man, maybe i am missing something and this update is not for me

They were the EMT driving the ambulance that brought my Mom to her radiation (lung cancer) treatment in a building about a block from the hospital she is currently admitted at.

I noticed they had a VaultTec patch on her EMT uniform and so I said, "You're into Fallout?" Then we talked about it during the transport when they weren't busy communicating with the team of EMTs.

Got to learn a lot about the early days of FO76 and how they and the other streamers saved 76 from its awful release, and the Wasteland Estates HOA.

You didn't want me to be able to solo an infestation, congrats, I can't now. I'm no longer going to do them at all, just isn't worth the bullet or time sink. You ruined an otherwise enjoyable part of the game.

Infestation now sitting at 29 mins with a quarter health bar down. 5 or 6 there and hitting with Endangerol Stringer but not moving a great deal. Some higher level players too but it's expensive for my Ultracite bullets lol. Had enough

I’ve scrapped so many 4 star items from Bigfoot and infestations and have had maybe ONE mod box drop and I have learned none of the recipes to craft them. Is the RNG just terrible for them? What am I missing?

I was the first one to an Infestation on a public server yesterday and kicked things off with my Pepper Shaker. The build I'm running, I could solo anything in the game... Until that Assaultron. I was watching the health bar, feeling like I was barely making a dent, and suddenly I was dead?! Excuse me? I'm level 1100. I've run dozens of raid carries with barely a scratch. What the actual fuck... So I leaned forward in my gaming chair and locked in. After I respawned I got back to it. By this time other players that started showing up. We all started unloading. Over the next three or four minutes it was a blaze of gunfire, grenades, and death. Bullets, lasers, I'm pretty sure I saw a hatchet, everyone was throwing everything at it and It was some of the most fun I've had in this game since the raid came out.

There have been posts on here, and discussion in other community spaces, that boil down to players who are mad they can't solo infestations anymore, and I'm curious if that's just a loud minority or the majority of the player base? I personally love that it takes time and investment to defeat the bosses now.

I saw in another post someone said "It's not worth the resources" and to that I ask "What were you saving them for?" If the most difficult enemies in the game aren't what your resources are for, then what?

And it’s especially fun when the server just finished taking down an infestation boss and we all break out in shimminess together.

You can do this in a private world solo. It's 3 infestations deleted. No ammo wasted.

I understand the complaints of the content was being smashed too easily by endgame builds/players but man this update makes infestations almost seem unbelievable to even “want” to do. Am I the only one who feels this way?

Just learned that named armor pieces can be fully customizable with legendary mods like the weapons will be.

Wasn’t sure since the patch notes didn’t specifically mention them but go confirmation in the PTS Discord channel.

Who doesn’t want just a better Secret Service chest piece and Unyielding and Lucid Rage here we come!

Just a random thought

I've noticed my male character is doing a lot more female grunting since the update, especially when taking radiation damage, but even when fast traveling to my camp it happens.

At first I wasn't sure if someone else was around me, because it was supposed to not happen with this fix. Though, they did shoo us off that server early last night, so maybe they did another update.

Patch notes: “Enemies will no longer immediately detect a player arriving via Fast Travel.”

This is still happening. Still getting attacked as I spawn in all the same locations it was happening previously. It usually kills me since I play bloodied.
