It was the most annoying part through all the playthrough. I barely care about the graphics, I just wish they will improve this aspects of the game that really show age

Complaint The biggest missed opportunity with Terrifying Presence was not having every prompts for the unmarked quest "Silus Treatment"

The whole point of the quest is to strike fear into a Legion captive, it was the perfect place for some dialogue with the perk 😭

Question Where are the whores? I heard a King talk about one, but there aren't any. Is he suffering from delusions? Am I suffering from delusions? Talk about false advertisement. I guess the ghoul lady is cheap, only 25 caps, but I don't have necrophilia. And the advertiser said women plural.

Outfit This helmet is the result of several years of work, updates, and redesigns. The new helmet is finally ready, and we’re really happy with how it turned out

Discussion how hard are the dlcs with only unarmed attacks?

unarmed chem chugging with logans loophole and light armor to farm crit chance.

here is what i think, but ive only played each dlc once and always with guns, and my unarmed run is still in its early stages

easiest: dead money. wont have to deal with ammo count, and destroying limbs to keep the enemies dead is much easier with a melee attack.

bit harder: old world blues. you can keep your stuff, and the enemies are easy to close in on, but tend to be tankier

hard: honest hearts. lots of enemies like to be peached on ledges that you really want a gun to shoot at them.

hardest: lonesome road. deathclaws, powerful ranged attacking enemies (especially with red glare and the shoulder mounted lmgs.)

Discussion Do you still use old mods?

Upvotes

Hey, i wanted to know about your expirience with using old/slighlty outdated mods

I wanted to download a mod for an alliance between Mr House and the BOS. There are two currently avaiable. One required a bunch of other mods, which i dont want to download, and the other one was made in 2010

Idk which one to pick, im afraid the old one might break my game somehow or just not work

Do you have any expirience or advice for this? Thanks

Question Is it possible to get the Lucky Shades and be hunted by the Assassin Squads of the Legion in the same run?

I'm planning a run after a very long time and i seem to remember the assassin squads to be a wonderful source of gear and caps. The thing is, i'd like to acquire the Lucky Shades, which, if the Wiki is right, need at least a Liked reputation when speaking with Lucius at the Fort. Getting hit by the squads, however, seems to require at least Shunned, which i can't acquire even if i tank my Legion reputation after getting the mark and acquiring a liked reputation. Some sources online say you can get both, though, somehow.

So, question on the OP. Is there a way to get both the shades and assassin squads in the same run? Or can i only get one (the squads) until i get the other (the shades)?

Edit with answer to the question: After checking on your suggestions I went on some console adventuring: If i get Liked by the Legion (for the glasses), and then acquire the highest infamy possible with them (for the love of the game) i will go down to Soft Hearted Devil, and at this reputation point Assassins won't spawn, so it seems to be an either/or situation. I will probably end up console commanding myself into Vilified to keep a sense of danger (and congruency) to the Mojave, possibly after giving Caesar a haircut 5 inches too short. I quite like the added danger (and Thermic Lances). Thanks everyone.

Continuing to slowly offload my art. Here's Honest Khan!

She's a runner for the Great Khans who is known to show up in Freeside, where she has a reputation for being friendly and reliable. (And she has to work hard to offset the Khans' general reputation.) She's a proud Khan, but often disagrees with Papa Khan about what's best for the tribe. Like most of the younger Khans, she's more open to change and modernity, thus her enthusiasm for 'sales.'

Chance is her usual bodyguard and escort, but he hasn't been around lately.

Question Mods to re-enable playing Caravan with merchants?

Upvotes

I don't imagine it's a common problem seeing as the majority of folks don't bother with Caravan, but I was wondering if any mods exist to let me continue playing Caravan with merchants. I briefly checked Nexus already and didn't find anything, so I might be S.O.L. but figured I'd make a post anyway. Even if it's not possible to earn money from it, I'd be happy.

For a few roleplay reasons (primarily that I'm living in Novac) my most recent character has come to quite enjoy playing Cliff at Caravan, and so I was disappointed to find out that, since he's a merchant, I could only play with him 5 times. I understand *why* that limit exists, but it still makes me sad. Like I said, I'm happy to just play the game, profits be damned.

Bug Graphics Randomly shit the bed

This bug has happened to me before, about a year ago, and I was unable to fix it, leading to me quitting the game for a while.

I'm just now getting back into it, and decided to take a different modding strategy and only install collections. I got Gopher's stable, ui, and gameplay collections, then did the Remaster, the graphics collection, which is when this happened.

It didn't happen as soon as I loaded up the game, but after a bit of messing around with completely unrelated UI mods, i load up and see this.

I'd really rather not quit again, Im having a lot of fun, but this is also affecting my ingame graphics aswell (I couldnt get images cuz my screenshot key didn't work ingame). If I had to guess its a conflict with the games set resolution getting reset and messing with everything, but I have no idea. If someone has had this bug before lmk

Question What ever happened with that "Fallout: The Frontier" Mod?

I remember when it came out, it was going to be finished, But it seems to not have been touched on nexus and the comments are locked? Googling around seems it included some illicit mods, which have since been removed and it would appear one of the devs is pretty mad about community harassment (cant figure out fully why, but one thing is it seems hes rather unwanting about sharing the driving function they made), But yeah jw what came of that all, it was supposed to get an updated version by now I thought, I looked it back up to see if that happened - seems not, curious what all happened! I was excited for that one!

Just here to say... I have watched this opening sequence a countless number of times. I think out of all the video games I have ever played, this has to be my all-time favorite. I've played through this game a number of times, and every time I go through this I get just as excited as I did the first time I played it.

Question Am I the literally devil in FNV

So im playing my third play through, and I look at my karma, and I see that I somehow got bad Karma without realizing it. My dad asks me how, and I say I have no clue. I don't think I did anything particularly bad, so I try to get back to good karma, but I can't get past neutral karma. Dad says that my character is the literal devil if I can't get good karma. Is it?

I saw some questions so I figured I'd answer them!

I'm doing a house play through and I generally like the good factions and help out the kings and that stuff, I'll kill npc for their outfits but that's pretty much it, my sneaks low so I don't pick pocket. That's part of what made it so funny the only bad story line thing I did that I can think of was crashing the spaceship earlier in the game and I don't have any mods. Thank you to everyone commenting my dad saw and thought this was very funny!

Discussion What are some weaker weapons out there you still carry and use for late game runs?

the smuggled peashooter :3

For the holdouts or hitman build, I've nothing but love for the silenced .22 pistol.

It's available early playthroughs and the hollow point rounds give it additional kick against less armored marks, simplistically clean kills without the gore or faction reputation hit. I'm on a primarily agent run using combination of silenced weapons plus melee/unarmed takedowns learned throughout Mojave. Can't go wrong with that~

Give me your weps!
