Discussion Your go to #1 Fallout DLC (not top 3, absolute favorite)

Post image

Ive been modding Fallout 4 since the storage expansion. Ive been working on Far Harbor and can't help but feel how drawn I am to it. Aside from it being set on the coast of Maine (my state). The visual and atmospheric experience. With the beautiful and slightly haunting soundtrack. Makes the island unforgettable. And my favorite Fallout setting in the series. That's not including the great story with player choice. That was missing in the main game.

Like the title says. What DLC stands out to you the most? Id genuinely curious to know.

Other Fun Fact: If Fallout 5 releases after October 16, 2037, it will be closer to the canonical day the bombs dropped (in 2077) than the release of Fallout 1.

Luckily this probably won't happen, but I thought it was interesting.

Fallout: New Vegas Headcanon: Courier 6 has Savant syndrome.

Savant syndrome is defined as an extremely rare condition in which a person with a developmental disorder or head trauma suddenly begins to express a high level of aptitude or skill in a particular skill set or ability. My theory is that the courier has this exact condition. Before getting shot by Benny he was basically a nobody. A run-of-the-mill wastelander just trying to get by. Then after getting shot in the head and entering a short coma he wakes up with newfound skills and abilities in combat, speechcraft, stealth as well as significant personality changes.

No longer focused on just survival he is focused on revenge, personal involvement in politics as well as participating in combat-related tasks that an average survivor would avoid out right. This suggests to me that that the brain trauma from taking a slug to the head awakened dormant personality traits and abilities which is indicative of someone experiencing savant syndrome.

Suggestion The on thing I wish they will fix in the New Vegas remaster:

It was the most annoying part through all the playthrough. I barely care about the graphics, I just wish they will improve this aspects of the game that really show age

Fallout 4 Here's a quick tip about Covenant YOU may not have known about!

Post image

Okay so you know how in Covenant there are these two traders that (depending on who you side with) have to kill when you take control? Of course by doing that you'll be losing two free traders... But what if I told you that their trading posts can still be used with no mods? With the Vault-tec Population Management System (or just the tall white Vault-tec terminal), you can assign two settlers to formally unusable trading posts.

I was looking arroudn the fallout 1 files, trying to get the direct acces of the .exe file to be able to play the game without the epic games launcher and for some reason the vault boy of the image turned into this guy.

Anybody knows who he is?

He keeps grabbing things without me telling him and every time I look in his inventory to give him something he has more junk. He does that little dance, he's so proud of himself 😭

Throughout both pre-war and post-war technology, the Think Tank are the only ones who are the closest to having flat screen TVs/monitors

Question If you could pick any power amour by looks alone what would you choose?

You have to pick a power armor like it’s your first time playing and you don’t realize they have different stats, which do you pick? I personally pick the t-45 as it’s the face of the game and I just like it looks cool.

Fallout 5 is officially in pre-production. What should evolve besides graphics and map size?

Fallout 5 is now officially in pre-production.

I hope Bethesda has the time and resources to make something more than simply a larger world with prettier graphics.

A decade and a half between releases should buy a real evolution of the RPG formula.

For me, that means deeper systemic gameplay, stronger world simulation, infrastructure that actually matters, and player choices with long-term consequences rather than isolated quest outcomes.

In other words, I'd rather see more systems interacting with each other than simply more content. And from the three major BGS game worlds Fallout suits this approach best.

Curious what everyone else thinks.

If you had one major design direction for Fallout 5, what would it be?
