The Ridstar comes with pedals as well which I'd prob have installed. The U12 doesn't have a headlight which is a pretty easy fix. I'm about 6'2 and it looks like the Ridstar is a bit bigger of a frame so that may be nice. I can't find much info about the U12 tbh. Let me know which one you'd suggest. The Q20 is $50 bucks more. I was going to work, was right hooked at this intersection. From the stop, The lady starts turning while we are going the same speeds. She turns right before the pole from the first picture. I can’t stop my bike so I get into an accident. The lady’s guy start yelling at me. For going straight. I want to verify that I had the right of way correct?!

I’ve spoke to my mum and dad and I’m either getting a conversion kit for my mtb or a electric scooter like the one I’ve already got, with my electric scooter I’ve had no trouble and police have waved to me while I’m riding

I have been looking at this bike for some time, and according to my research, it’s a pretty good bike. Mostly positive overall reviews. Costumer support has mixed reviews but also mostly positive.

Has anyone owned one from this brand? If so, how has it been? How has costumer support been? And finally do you recommend buying it ?

I just had a bike mechanic look at my brand new bike. I thought there was something seriously wrong with the motor. he told me there was nothing wrong with the motor. but the motor is not what they say. he said that it was no way possible that was an 1800 Watt 110 nanometer motor. and went over several reasons why.

so basically act best is selling bikes on the pretense saying an advertisements 1800 Watt 110 nanometer motor for climbing hills. when in fact it's a 750 watt 50 NM motor..

how can companies get away with this? I understand it's a Chinese based company. but they sell here in the United States.

I've since asked Actbest I want to return the bike because it's not what it's supposed to be.

thinking there was something wrong with the motor. they even sent me a replacement smaller than the one that was on the bike. shady.

so be careful, they might look like other brands but clearly the motors are way off... so much so that I'm saying false advertisement.

need help identifying this ebike to see if it’s worth saving

Before anyone thinks that this is going to be a rant about how you can’t ride a 60mph emoto without a liscence I want to stress this isn’t about that. The issue is that Washington state has decided that any vehicle over 28 is an emoto and that you need you need a motorcycle endorsement to ride one BUT, from what I understand, vehicles such as mopeds are classified in Washington state as off road vehicles and do not need a endorsement if you have a valid license, and do not go over the speed of 30. So in Washington if I want to use an ebike with a top speed of 30 I’d need a motorcycle endorsement and all the bills to get the endorsement to use it but I could just go by a moped and just fly into the street. It seems like an unnecessary hurtle that makes a decent amount of e-bikes that would would’ve been allowed under the rules before harder to used In my example; I have an a bike pedal assist with a top speed of 40 but I’ve never gone that high. I would gladly swap it for a bike with a top speed of 30 if I knew it didn’t cause any issue with my liscence. It seems like an extra step and hurdle that stops people from getting effective transportation

My old ebike from 2010 had a distinct whine when the throttle kicked in, something that actually stood out. My current ebike doesn't have that anymore, it's just a generic whine that sounds like every other ebike and scooter I hear on the street these days. Philly has a heavy ebike and scooter scene, so I'm curious if others here notice the same thing, like older motors had more character while newer ones all blend into the same sound. Would be cool if motor sound was more distinct again instead of everything sounding identical.

As you know, AB 1557 sought to revise the classes of E-bikes according to their speed and power capabilities, prohibit children under 16 years of age from using a class 3 E-bike, as well as prohibit a manufacturer from selling a device labeled as an E-bike with a motor that is capable of exceeding 750 watts.

Assembly Bill 1557 did pass in the Assembly Judiciary Committee by a vote of 12-0 and was then referred to the Assembly Appropriations Committee. However, it did not pass out of that committee prior to the House of Origin deadline that passed on May 29, 2026. Bills introduced in the Assembly that failed to pass before the full Assembly by that date are considered dead for this legislative session.

While I did not get an opportunity to vote on this bill, I will keep your views in mind should this topic come up again for consideration in the California State Senate.
