So, I've been a fan of this franchise for decades and I've probably discussed it with hundreds if not thousands of people in my lifetime. Friends, acquaintances, students, you name it.

In that time, I don't think I've ever heard someone bring up a fusion character in the context of their favourite character or favourite moment. I'm not saying they're bad, but I was labouring until absolutely no impression that they were exceptionally popular.

So, you can imagine my surprise when the Dragon Ball Legends subreddit seems to be exploding over the return of some Vegitto character from a few years ago after their anniversary event already featured a Gogeta and then Shallet (a fusion of two ancient Saiyans original to the game).

Here I was expecting people to be fatigued but people are like "YESSSSS IT'S VEGITTO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" and like... have I missed the incredible popularity of these characters?
