I know she was being promiscuous, but the way she went about it gave me the creeps. She gave off big "you might wake up with a kidney missing" vibes.

Relevant to me At which rewatch did you stop crying during the finale?

• Upvotes

I can't help it. This is easily my fifth or sixth rewatch and I still get emotional during sheldon's speech.

Greatest show ever.

Character discussion What's a scene that wasn't supposed to be emotional, but ended up hitting you anyway?

I'm rewatching The Big Bang Theory again, and something I noticed this time is that some of the moments that stay with me aren't the big emotional episodes. It's the quieter scenes. Like when the gang is just eating together in the apartment, arguing about something completely ridiculous, or when Sheldon unexpectedly says something sincere without realizing how much it means. I think that's why I keep coming back to this show. It never needed huge dramatic speeches to make the characters feel close. Is there a scene that wasn't written as an emotional moment but somehow always gets to you?

This was the episode Bernadette smugly and proudly claimed they managed to make a non-human disease work on humans for profit. I feel like being in quarantine was her karma 🤣

Other Recent Rewatch

I’m completing another rewatch of the show and it’s got me thinking that I wish the show went on for a few more years. I enjoyed watching the dynamics of the gang change as their lives changed and I don’t really think the show dropped much in quality like most sitcoms do. I do think it would’ve been very fun to see the show go through the pop culture changes of the 2020s like they did in previous seasons. I already know they would’ve had at least one scene of Raj being obsessed with TikTok

Episode discussion Toby the Cricket

Post image
6 Upvotes

Not sure if this has been pointed out before but while rewatching Season 3, Episode 2 - "The Jiminy Conjecture". When they are arguing about a field cricket vs a snowy tree cricket I was curious as to what both actually looked like. After a quick google search they are noticeably different. Their is no way Sheldon could remember the chirps per minute but not what the snowy tree cricket actually looked like. Unless he only read the paper and their were no images for reference. However later in the show they look up images to compare who is right. I know its a tv show and it truly doesn't matter but its funny to see how different they actually look. So, when they finally caught it, I think it truly shows how narsasitic Sheldon can be because of how different they actually look but he still had to argue. AND then he also argued with Professor Crawley just because he can't be wrong.

Side note: Poor Creepy Crawley having to live in Oxnard in the Onion Field.

Like I get that this is a sitcom and a lot of its conflicts need to get wrapped up in a 22 minute timeslice…but idk. Sheldon just gave a pretty big secret away about Howard, and Howard literally says an apology can’t fix it but then later an apology does apparently fix it

(This is from S4, E7)

Storyline discussion S5 E4 we were introduced by Sheldon’s barber shop but….

I noticed this during rewatch. There was an episode in which Sheldon and Lenard discontinued their friendship clause of their roommate agreement and all the privileges that comes with it. Sheldon tried to auction off the opportunity to drive him and one of the trip was to super cuts or super clips or something. But on this episode we were introduced Sheldon’s regular barber shop. Knowing he has not changed it ever since he moved to California, looks like writers messed up here.

Character discussion Why didn't we find out penny's surname?

Like she's known as penny hofstaeder after her and Leonard get married and penny is normally the shortened version of penelope but why doesn't she say her last name?
