At risk for being labeled a rage-baiting, karma farming bolshevik, I gotta know: Did having a black president who required all citizens have medical insurance break almost half the brains in America?

I understand HIPAA laws, but why hasn’t an anonymous Hospital source informed the American public if Mitch McConnell is alive?
I mean at this point, the American public has to know something. How can all of the people working at the hospital Keep a such a lid if he’s not not brain dead. He is a senator aka public servant, some privacy has to be forfeited for the sake of the nation

Why do Catholic/Christian Americans believe Jesus would be a fan of Trump?
I've seen many people who compare Trump to Jesus, or Trump to God. Where is the justification?
One is a capitalist with questionable morals. The second is someone whose teachings emphasized radical generosity, caring for the poor, and the spiritual dangers of wealth, state-enforced wealth redistribution and government control of the economy.
So frequently I see people praise behaviors that go against the teachings of their lord and savior.
How do they reconcile?

Does anyone remember the nationality of the 9/11 bombers?
President Trump will now share our nuclear weapons technology with Saudi Arabia. You remember Saudi Arabia, their Public Investment Fund provided the initial $2 Billion to start Jared Kushner’s investment fund.

A regular employee would get pushed out for way less than a stroke or a month in rehab. So why do 84- year old senators get to keep running the country from a hospital bed instead of making room for new?

Consequences for McConnell Coverup?
I already know things are politically wild now and no one will suffer any true consequences for unethical behavior, but did just have a question out of curiosity. If McConnell is found to have lacked capacity to do his job several weeks ago with no chance of recovery, what are the consequences for those in power if they knew of this and were delaying until August? This assumes our legal system is functioning as it should and this could be proved. Thanks!

Very-Likely-Soon-To-Be Democratic Nominee For Maine's US Senate Seat, Troy Jackson, Says He Will NOT Support Chuck Schumer To Remain As The Democratic Party's Senate Leader — What Do You Think About This? Why Your Thoughts?
Pretty much all of Jackson's rivals have dropped out. He is almost certain to be declared the nominee by later this week.
The NYT on this specific story regarding Jackson / Schumer: https://www.nytimes.com/2026/07/21/us/politics/troy-jackson-schumer-maine-senate.html

How many new flags, red hats, and branded bibles have you bought since your drug prices came down 1,500%?

Does anyone else feel like the pet industry is heavily exploiting how much we love our animals? Food, vet bills, and medication prices are out of hand?
Vet charges are ridiculous, and medications are overpriced everything seems to be. I think companies are capitalizing on the trend of pets being treated like family, knowing people are willing to pay whatever it takes because they love their animals.
Even the food is a bit of a rip off.
I know what some will say " If you cant afford a pet dont have one" which is good point.
I can afford it, but I can still have a moan about it :)

Why does reddit act like europe is a progressive bastion forgetting it own right wing parties are rising?
feel like people treat Europe as this bastion of progressivism, when in reality, a right-wing wave is going to happen—it has just been delayed by a couple of years. What happens if the demoracts control the country but Britain, Germany, and France are all run by their own right-wing populists?"

Did anybody hear the Epic Fury casualties say " very strongly, 'We cannot let Iran have a nuclear weapon.'" ?
I stay informed... on top of the news, yet I haven't heard any interviews of soldiers, much less "all of them", saying what Cadet Bonespurs alleges they said.
Observing the arrival of caskets of military personnel just killed in Trump's unauthorized war of choice, he just told the press "All of them said very strongly, 'We cannot let Iran have a nuclear weapon.'"
Can anybody please provide a link to validate the POTUS' claim?
Anybody? Buehler...Buehler...Buehler?

What to write in a journal to my daughters?
I want to start writing to my daughters in journal with the hopes to give it to them when they become adults. Hopefully, that will be the case, but I also want them just in case I die before then. I am at a loss of what to write. Any advice on what I should put in it?

Does anyone still care about fabric quality?
Lately I've realized how much fabric quality affects everyday comfort. It started when I was shopping for cotton sheets, and now I'm even searching for a simple cotton handkerchief.
It seems like a lot of products focus on thread count or marketing buzzwords instead of the actual feel and durability of the fabric. For people who really pay attention to textiles, what brands or stores do you trust for genuinely high-quality cotton products? I'm looking for places where I can actually see and feel the fabric instead of ordering online and hoping for the best.

Why are Candidates for Governor asked if they want to abolish ICE?
What's the point of asking a question like that? A State governor has no power or authority to abolish a Federal Agency anyway, so it's completely irrelevant to the position they're running for. Same with when they're asked for their opinion on Israel/Palestine. In what way is that at all relevant for a State governor who has no power to do anything outside of their State? Seems like all these positions do is highlight controversial talking points that have no relation to the position they're running for. Same with the Mayor and other local politicians. Why are they asked about things they have literally no power to affect or influence?
