Hello fellas and fillets! I was wondering how optimal this muzzle device from surefire is atm. My plan is to sand/file down all the burrs and occasionally suppress it. My question is, if I leave it in this state will there be a lot of gasses that’ll hit my freshly manicured nails. And if I can prevent that, will extreme heat JB weld help prevent that. I have a hard time using my hands and using a hammer, punch and pins is difficult. But I built my first rifle and have 3 more lowers to build.

I’m looking for a range that will allow FRTs in Ohio. I would prefer an outdoor range but I can’t find any that allow them. Anyone have any suggestions or even if there are any in Ohio.

TLDR: I had the original trigger in the gun and the selector was safe of course in the forward position, then cycled to semi-auto in position 2, and then back to safe in the third position. I since then have swapped to a Rave 140 and now only have semi auto as an option. And it’s on safe when firing semi. Has anyone had a similar issue?? Did I put the selector in wrong ? I haven’t had time to play with it anymore tonight but I am definitely confused.

For reference I have experience building rifles for a large corporation I won’t name. However I have absolutely no experience in the world of a forced reset trigger or safety.

The spacer doesn’t want to come off. I’ve tried heating it up, using using a plier, using kroil but nothing seems to make it want to come off. Any suggestions? 🙏

Newbie here. I shot this morning in a very humid and foggy environment. For reference, I have a holosun 510c and HM3X magnifier. I know that since it’s an open emitter optic it’s not ideal for the elements but would an enclosed optic make a difference when it comes to fog? Even after wiping the lens the fog would come back shortly after due to how much moisture was in the air. What can I do about it besides wiping the lens every 5 minutes and is the open emitter optic the problem?

He says the lower was registered as a stripped reciever. So that means I have the option of running it in either variation, correct? Standard rifle configuration with stock and vfg. Or micro pistol variation.

Also, is this a valor vm1 reciever. Valor 16" upper, and a valor micro pistol uppers.

Do i have to change the buffer tube to a carbine buffer tube when I run it in rifle variation? Im guessing the extra buffer weight is because the blow back from a pistol barrel and rifle barrel are significantly different.
