can someone who used this sigil/who knows alot about the topic please tell me if sigil from the internet (specifically this one) ok to use? i really liked it and the energy it gave me,but after doing some research about sigils turns out they can be used to vampirize off of energy of the user or have the monkeys paw effect,and now im scared😭 i tried making my own but it didn't hit like this one did. i don't think its a right way to use it,but even just practicing drawing it makes me feel sm better. and it had a visible effect, i swear it worked🥹im very new to sigils,so i would be really really grateful for any info. thank you

For starters, practice fire safety. This could have went terribly wrong because my plate was not fire safe. Now, for the context. Trigger warning.

Four years ago, I was abused and raped by someone I was in a relationship with. I never reported the man out of fear of the situation being too messy. I cut all ties and haven’t seen him since. Flash forward to a couple weeks ago (Mercury retrograde I believe) I find out that he’s working at my job. I work in a GIANT warehouse and the likely hood of us ever seeing each was so low but come to find out, he is working 3 stations away from me. Initially, I thought I could handle it and being in that situation would show how much I’ve healed but, this guy kept looking at me. Staring at me. It made me feel so sick to my stomach. I could take it anymore. I sent my boss an email explaining the situation and request to be moved to the opposite side of the building. Thankfully, they oblige.

Today on my way home from work, a fly enters the car and stays in on my leg and items the entire car ride home. It’s then when I realized I needed to do some banishing. Going into the workings, I refused to acknowledge that I was doing this to banish a specific person from my life. All the words I said were vague until I kept seeing myself dragging him by his hair and throwing him across the threshold of my home, screaming in his face, and locking the door.

It was after that vision kept playing in my mind that I decided to grab the paper next to me and write his name. I burned it in the candle flame, the paper burn the candle, the candle toppled, and the fire broke the plate in half. I calmly put the fire out and laughed so unbelievably loud. I understand how mundane things work but, this bitch (my abuser) used to be so fucking dramatic. I couldn’t help but laugh at the situation. It played in my mind as him throwing a fit about being kicked out of my life for good.

I rolled everything away from me and throw it away, cloth and all. My table has burn marks on it and while looking at it, it makes me smile. In a way, my table and I share scars from the same person. After disposing of everything, I put in high vibrational music and danced. Cleansing out the rest of the energy. I broke down in tears just over flowing with gratitude for this life and all I have. It was truly beautiful and empowering. To seal everything off, I put on a protective amulet and pulled some cards.

Nothing crazy, I just really wanted to share. I was always so scared of performing a spell around him because of what might happen which is why I never thought to do a banishing on him to begin with. For me to be sitting by flame spouting bs about all the negative energy and my mind show me the specifics was so cool. I feel really good and I’m so proud of myself for taking the steps in the mundane and the magick to insure my safety and mental health. I’ve really grown and I just wanted to get it off my chest :) also… PRACTICE FIRE SAFETY.

It’s my first spell and it was sweet and simple. I want to do more complicated spells in the future but this is a good start. It was for me to pay attention to detail at work and have clarity and focus. I haven’t been doing so well at work so I just decided this would be a good time to do it. I carved clarity into the yellow candle. I didn’t use any herbs this time. Maybe next time

I’ve done my research but I still don’t get it. Can I get suggestions on what I have to add? I don’t want it too cluttered. Should I get rid of the bowls? I don’t really want to add a candle for fire, so can I try to find volcanic stones and use that?

Should I put salt and dried herbs in a circle on my big plate, would it keep the energy strong for whatever spells I may do?

I’m cleaning my altar cloth from the thrift store so that’s why it’s on nothing btw.

I have a stash of dried leaves from my succulent (echeveria). What ideas do you have for what I can use it for? I kinda feel bad about just … dumping it in the compost.

i ask this because i currently am bonded to (these are the words id use, anyway) another chthonic deity and, yet recently, received a reading that says that lady persephone feels called to me to aid me in my journey too. after the reading, i realised that i do feel rather drawn towards chthonic things, 'darker' things (but not like demonology, etc.) and so, that aspect makes sense to me (that i would work with another chthonic deity; being), but i'm not sure if i should at the moment. and so i wanted to read the meanings others have for; with her to parse whether i should/ feel connected enough to work with her as well, or if im just overreaching currently in my own journey.

hello loves!! i was at work today and my evil eye bracelet snapped clean in half. i do have intention to replace it- this one was given to me by my mother and i’ve had it for four years before it broke. i was able to put it back together, but i know that once they have broken they no longer provide protection. a close friend of mine would like to replace it for me, but he lives overseas and i won’t be able to see him or have the new bracelet until i see him in about 9 days. could i cleanse the broken bracelet, and continue wearing it until i can get a proper replacement? or is it best for me to simply avoid it? what can i do in the meantime? i should note that i do personally have the belief that a nazar has to be gifted to provide proper protection, so i am unable to simply purchase a new one for myself. i am aware this is debated by many people and plenty have differing views on that, but that is just my belief. any advice (advice that does not involve me purchasing myself a new one!) would be appreciated :)

So i'm new to witchcraft. I've always been drawn to witchcraft but only now realize that i've been using spells/magick a lot in my life without realizing. I was calling myself a witch as a joke but i dont think it was actually a joke now, tho i dont somehow feel comfortable calling myself a witch. I wonder if that could be because of the religious pressure i grew up in (i'm do have spiritual beliefs but i'm an atheist). Also i want to get more serious on witchcraft but something holds me back from finally putting it in practise. I think i'm scared of karma. Its hard for me to understand how broad can karma be. Any tips on how can i get more comfortable in my craft?

Also for those who use witchcraft for academic purposes, what do you do? I'm curious about other peoples experiences with it.

I've wanted to read about the history of witchcraft and witches but I'm kind of lost about where to start. Sometimes it feels like other witches just know so much about how witchcraft is suppose to be done and where all the rituals and originally came from and all that... So where do I start? What books on the history of witchcraft should I read? Which ones did you like and helped you on your path?

From time to time I attempt to make a sigil. I’m ok with the charging and activating process but I struggle in my mind about the design.

I do the statement and then remove the letters etc and then with the remaining letters I use them to make a pattern. They always end up being complicated, something I find too much work to carve into a candle. I see other people’s designs and they just look like some pretty squiggly line with some decoration. Am i really do that off the bat? Or do I just need to simplify my “letter based” sigil further. The overthinking part is if i simplify it further it will lose some meaning/my intention as the letters will kinda disappear??

Hi everyone, I M(24) have been separated from my ex bf M(25) for about two years now. I have no bad blood with him whatsoever and it was as loving as a break up could be so I don’t think this is malicious in anyway but I fear he may have put a spell out into the universe when we broke up.

We both practiced together (Meditations, manifestations, candle work, smaller rituals, etc.) throughout our relationship which lasted over a year. When we finally called it quits, he had written me an 8 page letter (this was his thing, writing me letters) and at the end of it he had hand stamped Forget Me Nots as well as that sentence. “Forget me not”.

Since then, I’ve tried to move on, go on other dates, meet other people, do the shadow work, etc. and while I feel okay with where our relationship stands, I have tried to do my own rituals (cord cutting and other things of that nature) I still have yet to move on completely. He crosses my mind almost daily, I have reoccurring dreams about him and in some form or another I’m always brought back to some version of him. Even seeing his name randomly on street signs, movie/show names, the list goes on and on.

Does anyone have any tips? Other rituals I can try? Is this even a spell that could be done through a letter? Anything helps!

VETIVER. I love working with it because it’s versatile. When I do a prosperity or fast cash working with vetiver I usually end up also seeing an increase in sexual passion—hotter, longer, primal sex, which I then use to pump a lot of energy back into the money working. If I make a fast cash oil with it I’ll also use a bit of that oil in any working that needs to be manifested quickly—as it has such strong grounding “bring it NOW into the here and now” energy.

We were online friends a year, until we ultimately started dating last year around the end of December, and broke up four months ago this year.

He was the best! Patient, loving, kind, sweet and protective. He never shook his head at my silly quips like men in the past, but encouraged me and my thoughts. Before him I was in an abusive relationship, so I was reluctant to get in something else after him, but being friends with this man had me falling in love. He chose me and it was the best few months of my dating life. I learned to be loved softly and also how to communicate better without fear.

He flew down to see me from his state to mine, only to break up with me..he never said a why, and I never thought of it being someone else, he was fairly loyal, but he said it was a lot of push and pull with his mind. It was confusing and I was hurt to no end that weekend we spent together. We held eachother and cried all night.

I had to go no contact after that and I did, until he reached out to me to see how I was doing but it was more a check in as he heard I got into an accident and left it at that.
That was three months ago.
Now four, and I’m the one contacting him. It was a crazy urge and I don’t know why?! I felt insane!!
But he wasn’t upset when I called. He just laughed asking how things were. From there we talked about the weather, our lives good and bad, and just feelings.

I expressed how I still had love for him, but didn’t want him to feel I was telling him out of pity or that I was trying to change his mind or bring up old feelings but he said it was nice to still be cared about. Of course he didn’t share the same sentiment outright and I didn’t expect him to, I just smiled sadly to myself and laughed. He just asked me how I deal with these feelings and where do I put them or are they going to be something he will always carry with him. And I said well that’s what I’ve been doing.

I had this big pressured feeling to tell him how I felt, as he is someone who tends to think the opposite at times, but after I did it was like this valve on my heart was turned and opened letting all this steam and pressure out of my heart. I was able to breathe again. I felt bad afterwards when we hung up, but I just remembered the way we could still laugh and talk as if we were just friends again. It felt sod natural even if it was the last time.
I had told him he was free to call or text when the world got too heavy, as we used to fall asleep on the phone every night and talk of heavy topics, to which he said okay. I again apologized for calling but he said he could never ignore me.

I know it seems silly but it feels like healing in a way. A big part of me wishes I could just be done healing and completely over him but I know healing isn’t linear nor quite clean. I want to move on, as he has been trying himself, but it’s difficult. I just hope that after this retrograde it’ll get easier. Any tips? Thank you!

If someone could point me to a book, person, place, etc that could give me more information, then that’d be great.

I was recommended to do one since I’ve trying to leave a toxic environment and move into a more peaceful space.

I’ve looked up different things that were similar like, witch jars or “return to sender” spells but those didn’t feel like what I need.

Hello! I’m new to witchcraft, but I had a question. After about a month, I’ve gotten oddly good at sensing a presences location. Often, I’ll pick up on a spirits presence before my two coworkers, who’s third eyes are fully open, will see or even sense it. I’ve also started to see shadow figures out of the corner of my eyes. I’ve done research, and I think my ability to sense is called “clairsentience”? Thoughts?

Part two: The other night we were in my driveway discussing a random spirit I sensed on my property, when I felt a presence walking up my driveway. I asked what it was, and my coworker quickly ushered me into my house. She called me when she got home and said she saw a bipedal with the body of a man, head of a goat or deer running up the driveway. Apparently she also saw a spirit running up to the car screaming a few minutes earlier but thought she was imagining it as she was sleep deprived. Does anyone have any clues on what this entity could be?

i came across a video of a lady speaking about the speed of herbs in spells. she was talking about how different herbs and plants have different timing of outcome, such as cinnamon to speed time, and yarrow to create spells that will show their outcome only after time.

I knew about herbs (mostly spices) used to speed up the results (think: the hotter the burn, the fastestthe spell), but I never heard of the opposite herbs. I was wondering if you knew about that and if you could give me some more infos or where to look them up

Okay so basically: me and my bf of 8 months broke up like a week ago or some I don’t count no more tbh hahahaaa. But anyway he has been a real divk towards me and my confidence had reached its bottom… like it was so bad that I cried over him when we were STILL TOGETHER. And I stopped eating and stuff, it was really, really bad. But anyway then HE broke up with me and I cried a little but then I decided I wouldn’t be his hostage no more.

To the point; before hand I had been doing a little bit of witchcraft, not a lot but I knew how it worked I also wore crystal necklaces for good energy and stuff. But then in all my sorrow I downloaded Reddit to find some help on what spells I could do and I found a lot of self love spells which (a lot of times) requires a bath top and i don’t have that… BUT I also came across basic love spells and love/honey jars, so I ofc combined the two which if I should say it myself is kind of genius (even tho I’m probs not the first to do this)

Anywaysss tho it worked REALLY well i mean seriously. I also think i somehow enchanted my rose kvarts crystal necklace because everytime I wear it people turn their heads to look at me like actually I’m not making ts up.
