Pat has a new company - is this real or some elaborate joke?

I've listened to Weezer's first 2 albums recently and have heard a few other songs outside of that. The thing I have noticed most strongly is that most of the time I can't understand the words at all. I think part of this may be that the singing is quieter than the instruments, but I'm not sure that it's the only reason.

Yes, English is my native language, so it's not that. I can usually understand the words to most songs.

Also, yes I can just check what thr lyrics are, but sometimes I cant do that when I'm listening to music (for example, when I'm driving)

Is that common or am I just missing something?

This is a CD single I own. There is absolutely no difference between the version of Say It Ain't So on this CD single, which is labeled "remix previously unreleased", and the "standard version" on The Blue Album. What gives? Does anyone have any insight? Thanks!

There were 2 members of the albumsix message board who recorded their own renditions of unreleased Weez/Rivers tracks, one that im really dying to hear is “Wanda You’re My Only Love”

Their version was really well produced with some fat sounding drums, if I’m remembering correctly it was these two dudes who teamed up and posted a Zip file of their covers.

I could be dead wrong but maybe it was a SFTBH rendition? Or just a tribute to unreleased Weez but I hope someone else remembers

The muppet show could have a revival this year so it would make sense that weezer:a band that already has done things for the muppets

Appear in the show as special guests and it would be smart to promote the golden album

Tried to balance out the Blinkerton classics along with their newer stuff, but I also happen to be Matt Damon so I might have put too many newer songs

I have an extra ticket available to the Boston concert at the TD Garden. The person that was going to go with me won’t be able to make it due to a surgery. It’s in section 310. I’m just looking to get what I paid back, which would be $87.

I don’t even know if this is allowed here but I figured I’d try it out

I find it weird that an album that has overarching themes of self-reflection, atonement and growing as a person ends on such a bitter and cynical note, don't get me wrong the song is amazing but fit feels like a contradiction to the journey the album had taken you on up to that point.

Maybe you can make a case for it as a reflection of the ugliness that comes with reverting back into bad habits out of fear of confronting yourself but I think I would've preferred a closing track that hammers home the themes of the album more. Either way, Team Make Believe on top.

I feel that an album's artwork has the ability to act as a lens through which to listen to the music to create a unique experience that you might not get from listening to the album in a vacuum. As such, I have always felt that an album as great as Weezer's debut deserved a visual component more engaging than just a static image of the band members and their practice space in the insert.

People have said that there's a humbleness to the album that the artwork fits, and I can understand that, but I still feel that Weezer's identity on that first album is unique enough to merit more interesting aesthetics. Their blending of new-wavey alternative rock with rustic harmonica and acoustic guitar, plus their lyrical references to X-Men and D&D, is something that could've lent itself to visuals that weren't just the band members and their practice room.

I always think of this poster for the band that features an illustration of two superheroines in a bedroom (third slide); it gets the band's geekiness across in a way that's not overbearing, and is appealingly colorful in a way that befits their music while also imbuing it with a bit of an ironic edge. To me, something in this vein would've served the album a lot better.

I just flicked on Hurley on Spotify, and noticed two things:

1- Its no longer saying distributed by Epitaph. When did that expire?

2 - It actually sounds better. No brickwalled distortion. Was it remastered?

Im covering this song and ive been trying to make pitch match A440 Eb tuning but that still sounds off though my guitar is tuned correcrtly. I tried -13 cents, -28 and -38 (Which was the closest but still off) so i wonder if anyone have a pitch corrected version for A440 Eb. I also covered Pink Triangle awhile ago but messing around with pitch shift was easier here, and dang even demos like Monterey Jack version of Jamie or most of Black Room/The Green Years demo songs.

So I am finally able to go to a Weezer concert since 2003! I'm going to catch the DC show in October.

Anyway, I don't know if anyone knows how to even get in contact with anyone on the team but in the old days of the OG message board I actually won something huge!

What's your opinion on this guys?

Okay, I know this isn’t a lot of information, but I’m looking for a Bluegrass cover of Buddy Holly. I found it years ago on a Spotify playlist of Weezer covers, but that list no longer exists. I tried to look it up on YouTube, but all I get is AI slop. Does anyone know what I’m talking about?
