We all know the killers have a reputation for barely having any less-than-fabulous songs in their entire career. But every artist has that song where you can’t help but ask yourself where things went so terribly, horribly wrong. So my question for today is just that; what’s the absolute worst tk song ever written in your opinion? And please none of the ‘umm mr brightside is actually so overrated ☝️🤓’ i mean genuine bad songs.

Spotted on Kojima’s Instagram story: he’s listening to Brandon's new single, “Paradise.” Apparently, the man behind Metal Gear Solid and Death Stranding has excellent taste. (Not that I'm surprised!)
If I recall correctly, he also tweeted Pressure Machine when it came out. Pretty cool exposure for Brandon from a pretty unexpected angle. :)

more like pressure machine for sure

We’re now officially one month away from Brandon Flowers’ third solo album, Thrasher.
So, before we’ve heard the full thing, what are your predictions?
Do you think it’ll live up to the singles? How do you expect it to compare with Flamingo and The Desired Effect? Which song do you think will become the fan favorite, and how do you think critics and the wider public will receive it?
Personally, I have a feeling it could be his most personal and cohesive solo record yet, although perhaps not the most immediately commercial. I suppose very much in the same vein as Pressure Machine was for The Killers as a whole.
Curious to hear what you're all thinking, and curious whether our predictions ages well! 🤠
Edit: Personally, I'm super stoked to hear the studio version of "Miss America", sounds like it could be one of his hardest hitters to date.

First of all: I’m a huge fan. I love everything the band puts out. But that’s exactly the point. Sometimes you’re such a fan that you only want to hear the good :P
There are always songs where I notice that friends who aren’t fans kind of raise an eyebrow. And I think part of that has to do with how some songs are produced, and how they don’t quite reach their full potential because of it.
Two examples for me are “When the Dreams Run Dry” and “In the Car Outside.” Neither of them has ever felt completely cohesive to me.
Both songs have fantastic lyrics, but the musical production sometimes pushes that into the background. More specifically, I find the chorus of “When the Dreams Run Dry” far too overloaded with synths and sung in a way that feels overly strained. The verses are fantastic, though. The build-up in the bridge and the ending are absolutely world-class.
With “In the Car Outside,” the electronic drum intro doesn’t fit the rest of the album at all. It’s only in the first chorus that the e-drums really start to blend into the song, especially when they mix with Ronnie’s classic drum kit. From there on, the song becomes great. Especially toward the end.
I’m not trying to put anything down here. I’m just curious whether it’s only me who feels this way, and whether other songs come to mind for you :)
For me, both tracks have always been slight outliers on otherwise very strong Killers albums. But in a way, it’s also this kind of unconventional approach that sets The Killers apart from other bands—and why we love them so much.

I know one of Brandon’s favorite songs to cover is Bette Davis Eyes - I’ve always assumed this is because it was the Number One song the day he was born
Anyway got me thinking about dream songs to see covered. Mine are Bruce Springsteen “Tunnel of Love” and (don’t laugh at me) “Crazy” by Seal. 🎡🎸

When I first listened to Paradise, it just felt underwhelming. After giving it a couple more listens though, it’s grown on me exponentially though and I think I’ve just had it and Plans alternating on Spotify for the past day😂. First Listen: 6/10 Then something clicked and it’s my most listened song since.

It shows up like it’s available, and I see it in several playlist, but every time I click on it, it will say not available in my region or just not even start the song. Am I doing something wrong/has anyone else ran into this issue?
