Users become suspicious of how everything is graded and how the collection doesn't look "born from passion", and begin to question OP.

Author's note 1: Graded manga has never been a "thing", it's only happening in recent years because professional hobby killers like Logan Paul are doing it trying to make a graded manga market. Actual manga readers usually know this, so graded manga is a red flag. Especially with graded cards too.

OP replies to questioning, but deletes their comments shortly after getting questioned more, as their comments only raised further suspicion.

Things get extra spicy when someone claims to have found listings for these exact cards on Ebay.

That person then provides a screenshot when someone asks for evidence, showing many of the same cards from the post being sold for hundreds.

Then one of the people originally suspicious of OP found the listing for themself and confirmed that not only is it definately OP, it's OP attempting to sell these things for thousands if not tens of thousands of dollars.

Authors note 2: These cards are not worth anywhere near that and never have. They have always gone for very very cheap. OP and people like them are trying to create a market for profit.

Now people are angry and questioning if OP is actually a hot anime girl like they claim, as OP remains silent apart from the occasional comment they delete as soon as they get questioned some more.

There was so much disgusting, authoritarian behavior and so many saw that and either said "fuck it I'm just not going to vote" or voted for the other party. I loathe AI, but to code without it in 2026 is a bit silly. I use it all day at work then go home and play guitar while I wait for our impending doom.

I thought this was supposed to be r/technology not r/antiAI. I have a lot of ethical, economic, and environmental concerns with AI too, but this subreddit has become borderline useless for actual interesting posts about technology. Big companies are being shit but also so many interesting things around happening around and with AI but nothing can be discussed. Everything is fear and yelling. Nobody hates on technology quite like r/technology.

r/technology is simply by far the biggest subreddit on that topic. So it naturally is the best mirror of the general consensus here. And that consensus isn't positive anymore. There are politicians right now campaigning on an Anti-AI stance.

It is sad that most here prefer to lie to themselves. I'm being downvoted for saying AI technology is interesting and for saying using gen-AI is very popular... every comment is "AI BAD!" or denying that a big portion of the population is using ChatGPT. Very narrow-minded position to have.

I once said in this same subreddit that ai has lot more applications beyond generative ai like in medical science, traffic prediction in Google map, spam detection and even in science etc. I still got downvoted.

The biggest issue I see between his comparison of natural intelligence vs AI is one of scale. An AI can write bugs SO much faster than a person - way faster than any devs can review.

I’m from Michigan originally. So it’s not like I’m taking extra trips there. Even so, the product there is so cheap that it can still pencil out, especially if you go with a friend, and if you already have some other reason to go (like a trip to Mackinac or Tahquamenon Falls or something) it’s really a no-brainer.

What a disappointing poster. If this is the effort they’re putting in to advertise, I’m not excited for this season.

I’ve seen way too many people defending the poster as “they’re satirizing ai” or whatever and that’s just so lame and disingenuous. We like to think of them and their writers as always being very progressive and pushing very topical issues, but they’ve also shown in the past few years specifically that as they grew older, richer, and more famous that they increasing became more and more out of touch. They 100% would use ai and not even think about it.

The beer tap concept is perfect for this show, pity the execution looks like someone typed "IASIP characters as beer taps" into an AI and went for lunch. Charlie's rat tap is the only one that feels intentional, the rest just look like uncanny valley versions of the cast. Would've loved to see what a proper illustrator did with this, could've really brewed up something special.

Context: Caitlin Clark is a WNBA star, and arguably the most popular player in league, despite having only played in it for 2+ years. Since being drafted by Indiana in 2024 Clark has been on the receiving end of several flagrant fouls, the most recent being when Alyssa Thomas put her hand on Clarks throat as she lay on the ground during a loose ball scramble (which was not called during the game, the league assessed it afterwards).

Author bias note: It is in subredditdrama submission rules to try to stay neutral when reporting drama. In that spirit, I did want to state that I am a feminist. In my opinion, it's the most sensible option considering historical and present-day gender dynamics. Introduction and definitions:

What is tumblr? Tumblr is the new pdf (if you know you know). Tumblr is a blogging website; it's social media. Like reddit, it's hard to pin down a certain culture or "type of user" on tumblr. With that said, sterotypes are a thing. Tumblr users are typically seen as vaguely left-wing and pro-woman, among other things. It's known for discourse about hot-button topics, including feminism and the like. Tumblr makes itself unique with the "reblog" feature; users that "like" something can repost it on their own blog, which leads to an interesting way of sharing posts. I'm doing a lot of summarizing here, there is much more to be said about tumblr than what I'm saying here.

What is r.CuratedTumblr? CuratedTumblr is a subreddit for sharing tumblr screenshots. There are some rules about what can be posted and by whom; notably, a tumblr user can only repost their own content on Sundays. Some tumblr users have requested that their posts are not posted to the subreddit. This subreddit has gone through phases of drama in terms of posting, moderation, etc., especially in light of the API protests from a few years ago. If I am to be so bold, the subreddit is worse off now (but still worth lurking in, on occasion [also, who am I to say? I should have ditched this website during the API protests too.])

Tumblr is sterotypically pro-feminist, right? What kind of conversations are there to be had regarding gender equality and liberation in a tumblr themed subreddit? More than you might expect. Let's get started.

Thread 1: We never stopped needing feminism. And we need feminism now more than ever.

Thread 1 is a screenshot of a text post, posted by tumblr user tasavvur-ki-duniya (more on that later), which states:

"We don't need Feminism anymore." Then please tell me why a room full of women is a dream for most men, but a room full of men a nightmare for every women?

Reddit comments. For the most part, people agree with OOP that Feminism is necessary, but feel like the described scenario is rather strange.

The top comment, Comment 1.1: I feel like you could come up with a better reason why feminism is still needed than a couple vague hypothetical scenarios

Comment 1.2: I mean I agree that feminism is still needed but this statement is stupid, as a dude I’d be terrified of being in a room full of strangers regardless of gender and I think that goes for most people.

Comment 1.5c: "Men's rights" in the reply you're replying to is referring to "Men's Rights Activists" (MRAs), a "movement" in the mid-2010s that claimed to be advocating for men's rights, but in practice it was mostly using male suicide rates as a gotcha against feminists and blaming feminists/feminism for any problems men experience as a demographic (problems which were either made up or negative effects of the patriarchy on men). Because MRAs also never got that feminism is about gender equality, and is concerned with many of the issues they raised (except for the ones that were incel bullshit, the incel movement emerged at around the same time and there was a fair bit of overlap).

Reply. Comment 1.5d: Was it? That's not my recollection of the events in question, but I'm also not a feminist, so I suppose we have different biases on that front. Feminism never has been about gender equality. It's about women's empowerment, which ain't even necessarily a bad thing, but don't just lie about it. If it were about equality, they wouldn't advocate for women to be receiving more and more social and financial incentives for their schooling, despite women already bring ahead, among other things. Here's some examples of institutional misandry: the draft, infant genital mutilation, illegal against women in the US, but some 70% of mothers choose to do it to their sons based on aesthetic preference, the bias in the educational system.... Futher investigation.

Remember tumblr user tasavvur-ki-duniya? Me neither, which is why I went to tumblr.com and looked for that post. I could not find them! What I did find was the same post from tumblr user mournfulroses-00.

This was posted on Tumblr on November 1, 2024. Pretty old to be reposted to tumblr reddit in 2026, in my opinion. There is also little activity on this tumblr post. A handful of likes (58), a meager 3 reblogs, no comments. How did out OOP find this, I wonder? Perhaps mournfulroses-00 reposted this, but wherever the original is, I cannot find it.

So, why this "addtional investigation?" From my understanding, CuratedTumblr is supposed to be a 'greatest hits' of Tumblr posts, with famous or funny posts getting popular. Seeing these low-lying tumblr posts blow up on reddit (in terms of comments, at least), feels dissonant. Small tumblr post -> big reddit post, not make sense. The comments in these reddit threads allege that OOP is karma/engagement farming. With that said, I didn't see OOP participate much in the comments under their posts. Is OOP farming link karma? Why? Who knows? And who's to say, really? But after this find, the drama feels a little less organic.

Final thoughts.

For the most part, these threads resolved as expected. Level-headed, pro-feminist talking points rose to the top. What I did not expect were the anti-feminist talking points to be upvoted so highly. The 'misandry' commenter had dozens of positive votes, to my surprise. But this is reddit, I suppose. Lots of people use this website, and lots of people have a lot of opinions. It's easy to click the upvote button, it's easy to click the downvote button. Is reddit the proper place to have a mature discussion about feminism? Probably not.

I've been sitting on these threads to avoid popcorn pissing. They're from the end of May, so it will be obvious who comments because of this subredditdrama thread. Don't popcorn piss, thanks!

2017 Berkeley protests In February 2017, months after Trump's inauguration, Yiannopoulos was performing a tour of campus appearances, working for Breitbart at the time. Given the heinous rhetoric, combined with Trump's recent rise to tower, this did not go over well with Students as UC (University of California) Berkely. The ensuing protests cause property damage, some injuries (however no mayor ones form the reporting) and a fire was started In the wake of this, Yiannopoulos appearance was canceled with a 2 hour notice

r/Berkeley is a subreddit dedicated to the city of Berkeley, though by virtue of being on reddit, it is largely populated by students of UC Berkeley. Going from current posts, the sub leans quite progressive, and the average day to day post is mainly concerned with getting university advice than anything else. But not so, 9 years ago.
