Racct is a local marketplace that makes buying, selling, pickup, and delivery easier. We’re looking for a hands-on product engineer to work directly with the team across the core app, web experience, and supporting services.

What you’ll work on:

- Marketplace flows for buying, selling, posting, chat, pickup, delivery, account experiences, and payment-adjacent previews

- Product behavior and shared patterns across mobile and web

- Firebase, Firestore, Cloud Functions, storage, auth, notifications, maps/location, media upload, and recommendations

- Tests for shared logic, edge cases, and user-facing workflows

- AI-assisted product flows with explicit confirmations and safeguards

What we’re looking for:

- Experience shipping and maintaining production consumer products

- Strong product judgment and user-facing quality

- Ability to improve an existing codebase through focused, reviewable changes

- Comfort working across product surfaces, APIs, data models, and services

- Clear written communication and ability to learn unfamiliar tools

Marketplace, logistics, local commerce, social, messaging, mobile/web, Firebase, Node/TypeScript, search/recommendations, or agent-assisted product experience is helpful but not required.

Engagement can be contract, part-time, full-time, or contract-to-hire. Candidates currently based in the Bay Area and available to work with us in person in San Francisco are strongly preferred.
