I don't really get the everything else line

You stand in a long line and go through a labyrinth of halls until they let you in...but don't they just open all the doors at a certain time and you can go in?

Feels like they just keep the crowd busy and funnel the early people but just let everyone in at the same time anyway through the rest of the doors

I'm probably missing something but I'm always tempted to get there early and make the most of the day, but it seems okay to just get there when the doors open

Parking For those onsite already how is the bridge construction?

I feel the bridge by the Hilton is stuck in an eternal state of beginning construction but last year the traffic entering and leaving that parking structure was especially awful.

Is it any better this year in terms of construction? Thanks.

Parking Entered wrong license plate for parking, is this an issue?

Purchased 4 days of parking for Comic Con at the Padres Parkade, and i accidentally did the wrong license plate for 2 of the days as i realized i need a bigger car those days. Will this be an issue? I do not see a way to cancel the parking and redo it, or to modify the license plate, and I'm worried i might get ticketed or towed.

Will my prop weapons be allowed in?

First-time attendee here, just wondering if anyone has had experience trying to get similar props in. Website has pretty vague guidelines and says it can just depend on security’s discretion. They’re 3-D printed plastic, rather light, and the corners have been sanded down so they are not sharp enough to cut skin. Has anyone been able to bring similar items in or would they turn this kind of thing away?

Exclusives Exclusives Portal Problems

I'm generally not one to buy souvenirs or care about exclusives, so this is my first time signing up for the exclusives portal. When I clock on the link on my dashboard, it takes me back to the login on page. Any suggestions? I've already sent if a request for assistance on the "contact us" link.

Hotels/Lodging Which hotel has the best breakfast buffet option?

I unapologetically love breakfast buffet options. Outside of hotels, we don't really have any inexpensive ones in sd.

I plan to get downtown very early each day. I don't mind paying to eat at a hotel. This question never really gets many answers in our local subreddit because locals don't really stay in the hotels to know.

So who better to ask than comicon guests staying in hotels? Please let me know!

Thank you!

Unofficial SDCC planner for 2026 - free, low-data friendly, no accounts, accessible

I’ve wanted a way to build a schedule that includes literally every single SDCC event (from panels to offsites and more) ever since I started attending the convention in 2015.

So, I figured I’d build it myself!

• Build your own schedule
• Search and filter events and products
• Share your schedule with your group to plan together
• View conflicts
• Discover what events are happening close to your current location
• Wishlist exclusives and products
• Download a marked map that shows the booth locations for your wishlist items
• View wristband pickups on your schedule
• Import, export, and print your schedule
• Optimized specifically to load in low-data situations, and also optimized for accessibility!

No accounts, completely free, no ads, no tracking. I built this because I wanted it, and I’m sharing because I think it would be helpful for others :)

You can also download it as a Progressive Web App without using the App Store, which means it can be accessed from your Home Screen easily! On Apple, click “share” then “view more” then “add to Home Screen.” On Android, click the three dot menu, then click “add to Home Screen.”

I hope this is useful! I’ve already been using it to plan out my con schedule with my sisters this year :)

Best time to arrive - Friday

Another newbie question...I'll be driving down from L.A. on Friday with a friend and am trying to figure out the best earliest time to arrive. It's the first time going for both of us. I'm also trying to avoid the worst of rush hour traffic.

We don't have any specific plans but are trying to maximize the one day, so trying to avoid waiting in super long lines. We don't care really care about panels, but might stop in one if it sounded interesting and wasn't much of a line.

Mainly we want to see the exhibition hall I guess. Exclusives would be cool, but if we don't get any then that's fine.

I already have parking reserved, so if we got to the convention center at 7-8am, once the doors open is there a long wait just to get in and start walking around?

I’m wanting to go to this panel! What would be the best time to get there and when can I start lining up? I’d love a good close seat.

Thank you!

First time going. Just going to be me and my teenager. Bought 3 4-day tickets but hubby can’t make it.literally know nothing about comic con. Any help is appreciated!!!

I’m only going for Thurs & Fri. I know, waste of money.

I feel so overwhelmed. I have no idea what to expect. What to look forward to. Or what I want to see. My kid loves Anime.

Will there be an outside line for early morning panels?

I want to go to the forgotten island panel Friday at 10am.

I’ve never been to a panel that early- when they open doors should I go straight there? Will people be lining up outside the convention center in a specific area? I’ve had back luck not getting into smaller panels in the past so I wanted to secure this one.

Any insight is appreciated :)

Packing Weather Forecast

Looks like it will be a pretty hot Con. But keep in mind that Southern California forecasts can change quite a bit in just a few days.

Be sure to pack your sunscreen for outside, and a light sweater or light hoodie for cold panel rooms inside and the ocean breeze after the sun goes down.

.

Day Forecast High Low Humidity
Wed 22 Partly Sunny 79°F/26°C 71°F/22°C 75%
Thu 23 Sunny 82°F/28°C 68°F/20°C 69%
Fri 24 Sunny 80°F/27°C 70°F/21°C 70%
Sat 25 Sunny 79°F/26°C 68°F/20°C 73%
Sun 26 Partly Sunny 79°F/26°C 68°F/20°C 75%

If you’re planning on sleeping on the ground overnight, be aware that it gets very damp overnight and pre-dawn.

Hall H Hall H for Percy Jackson

Hi, I just wanted to know how serious the line for wristbands for Percy Jackson panel will be. I don't care if I'm close, only care about making it to the panel. Is there a specific time I could line up on Wednesday for wristbands and avoid waiting in a long line? Thanks in advance.

Exclusives What mobility scooter are you guys using?

Our 74 yr old mom suffered a hamstring sprain earlier in the week, so my sibling ordered a Sugogo Stable mobility scooter, should be here soon. Even without a sprain our mom usually just walks around a bit before she just sits and people watch during previous Cons, she enjoys the environment regardless. This will be our first time using a scooter. I don't think she she'll be roaming the Con floor a lot again, and will likely sit in a few panels this year. We'll see how a day goes with a scooter, we also have a walker for her just in case the scooter is too much of a hassle.

Just wondering what mobility scooter do you guys have and will use for SDCC? I'm curious about the brands and such. Not sure how my sibling chose the Sugogo Stable, but it seems pretty good and was on sale that's why. Also, if you have used a mobility scooter during SDCC, any tips like where to park and stuff like that? Thank you

SDCC First Time

Any groups want to adopt me (24M) for the weekend lol? From Florida, first time attending SDCC, I’ve got Preview night through Sunday, but I don’t know anyone in Cali except for some vendor buddies, but they’ll of course be working.

I’m a full time vendor (exhibit at NYCC, Megacon, ECCC, etc ) so not new to conventions, but this’ll be my first time as an attendee, so entirely new experience.

Most excited to just check out the show floor, but down for anything.
Hope yall have a good weekend.

Bag and lanyard pickup

Upvotes

Does anyone know if they let you pick up someone else bag and lanyard if you have their badge? There’s a bunch of flight delays so wanted to just take care of it for my group so we don’t miss getting them today and have to sacrifice time tomorrow.

Hall H Is the app wrong?

Hey all, first time at SDCC. I downloaded the app and have found it's not only tough to navigate, but also some of the panels they've listed are wrong? Hall H on Saturday at 5:30 says it'll be Demon Slayer instead of saying that it's Marvel - as every other website has reported. Also, my friend is doing a panel that's supposed to be Friday night at 7pm but the app has it listed as Saturday the 26th at 5:30 (the 26th is a Sunday lol). Just wanted to make sure I'm not doing anything wrong here?
