Anyone else think that the Trump billboards are a bit over the top? Gas prices have been an issue with each presidency.

On occasion we, the mod team, get requests for things that would break rule 3 (no solicitation). At other times people just break the rule and we have to remove the post. So, in this monthly post you get to break rule 3 and sell yourself or your stuff (within the realm of legality).
Some reminders/ground rules:
Rule 2 still stands, nothing illegal.
Rule 4 still stands, no personal information.
More on rule 4; if you want to send someone to your house or go to someone's house and need their address then keep it in private messages. Or stick to the basic internet rule; meet in a public place.
Unless you're an actual business don't give out your phone number or email address. If you post a phone number or email address and your post doesn't show up it's because the auto-mod caught it and one of the moderators will have to approve it.
So that's about it, if you have any questions go ahead and ask.
If you want to continue advertising your business/services outside of this thread you can buy adspace from Reddit, which is usually what we end up telling people to do.

If you’re missing a peacock it strolled by our house just south of Leavenworth on 49th Street. Neighbors may have called Humane Society, so might want to check with them if it was picked up..

Hi everyone, I’m looking to see if anyone has experienced something similar or has any advice.
I froze my eggs at age 19 before starting chemotherapy as part of fertility preservation. My eggs were stored with Cryopoint, and I paid my annual storage fees.
When Cryopoint downsized, I completed and submitted transfer paperwork with specific instructions for where my eggs should be sent. The paperwork clearly listed ReproTech as the facility I authorized. However, I later learned my eggs were transferred to NECC instead.
Has anyone had a similar experience where Cryopoint (or another fertility storage company) transferred frozen eggs or embryos somewhere other than the facility they authorized? How was it handled? Did you involve an attorney, and what type of attorney did you contact?
This has been incredibly stressful, especially because these eggs were preserved due to cancer treatment and represent my future fertility.
I appreciate any advice or experiences people are willing to share.

Fellow Omahans, I’m reaching out because I’m in dire need of an evening part time job. My girlfriend is about to lose her job and I’ll need to at least somewhat supplement what we’ll be losing until she finds new full time work.
I have a full time job from 7AM-3:30PM so my availability would be around 4:30ish to about 9 or 10ish at night. I’d prefer to stay as close to the 72nd and Harrison area as possible so that I don’t have 2 long commutes everyday.
I’ve applied to tons of jobs like Walmart, Home Depot etc but hear absolute crickets and it’s starting to stress me out. Any input or connections you guys may have would be deeply appreciated, thank you so much!

I am registering for fall courses, and I spoke with a counselor who registered me for Human A&P I. I received a confirmation email that I was registered for that course, and I even called Central Registration to confirm. I was told I was in and everything looked good.
Today, I get an email saying I have now been unregistered and can be waitlisted into that course. All other sections I would have considered are full. I am #3 on the waitlist and now super annoyed. It was probably a system error but now I have to see how I can change my schedule up in order to accomidate for this.
Do yall think there is any chance of me getting moved off the waitlist? Or should I just push it to the Winter and hope I get into the section I want.

I’m sure I drive past them more often than I realize but I can’t recall the last time I saw one. Was there a recall? Or did the embarrassment become too heavy a burden?

I was just watching a YouTube video rating a bunch of viral foods around the nation and it got me wondering what Omaha has to offer on this front.
Immediately off the top of my head I thought of Block 16's poutine burrito and O.T.B.'s stuffed turkey legs. I know there are others out there, but I'm struggling and wanted to throw it out to the community.

Hi guys, new here but loving Omaha so far!
I have been trying to find where I can see some live jazz groups lately and have had no luck :/
I am a drummer myself and play in two different bands(neither of them are jazz of course) but I have been a jazz drummer for years and would love to go see some live jazz in town, or maybe even talk to a combo group that may need a drummer.
Let me know where I should check out :)

My car is unfortunately at the shop right now, and I’m looking at a few rental options.
I’m leaning toward an EV, but I’ve never driven one before, so I want to know: how much does it typically cost to fully charge an EV at a charging station?
The options I have are the Chevy Bolt EV, Chevy Bolt EUV, Kia Niro EV, or similar vehicles.
I drive a lot for work. With my gas car, I usually fill my tank from around 25% to full about twice a week.
I live in an apartment in Midtown on Dodge with no charging outlet available on-site, so I would have to use nearby public charging stations.

Curious if there are any local area haunted that would be willing to show me the ropes on a few scares. The main one I’m looking at is trying to set up an air compressor to fire at specific times, not motion activated.
This is NOT for profit or even for a haunted house at all. I’m just trying to learn what I can to put on a yearly Halloween party for my kid and their friends.
I also have an idea for putting on a “theatrical” event for our guests that I would appreciate to run other ideas past an expert on how to achieve certain effects/scares/bumps in the night.
I know I can watch YouTube videos but my brain just doesn’t work that way sometimes. Looking for some hands on experience with someone who knows what they are doing and can answer any questions I have as they pop up.

hi all! a long while ago my grandma got me an appointment to see someone for an autism assessment (or so we thought) and i saw them yesterday finally come to find out they dont do autism assessments. instead i was told i have anxiety and depression and ptsd (which i already knew btw, im actually the one who told them i was diagnosed with MDD, GAD and SAD with heavily heavily suspected ptsd by my therapist 😐) and that i have symptoms that align with autism. i was also prescribed another medication that gives me an increased risk of serotonin syndrome alongside my dose of lexapro (my grandma told me not to take it until we can bring it up to my pcp which is a decision i agree with because i trust my pcp completely). it ended up being a huge waste of my time. and i ended up just really frustrated because i waited at least 5 months just to be told what i already know.
i guess what im asking here is has anyone had any good experiences with an adult autism assessment here? if so who did you see? i prefer seeing women but i dont mind seeing men if needed. this is really important to me and i dont wanna be let down again </3
