Why are virgins considered a reward? Isn’t their status as virgins short-lived? Is there a similar reward for females? Are these real women who died as virgins, or are they newly created virgins for the after-life?

Or do they just think "I'm taking my human for a walk". Do they actually understand that their eyes don't work? Is there any way to really know?

I have a hard time imagining what this job is actually like day to day. Rather than making assumptions, I'd rather hear from people who actually do it.

My questions:

1. How do you deal with the downtime? Are you allowed to listen to music or podcasts, or do you mostly just think to yourself while you're working?

2. What does a normal day look like? Do you have regular breaks and lunch like most jobs, or is the schedule different because someone always has to be out directing traffic?

3. Do you only hold the sign? Or is that just one responsibility? I'm guessing most people also help with setup, cleanup, traffic control, moving equipment, etc., but I honestly don't know.

4. What do you enjoy about the job? Is it the pay, the crew, the simplicity, being outdoors, or something else?

I am currently finalizing my wedding speech and the one joke I'm concerned about is:

The world record for consecutive pull-ups is 1224, but that guy had to carry up the weight of his legs for every pull up, even though his legs aren’t really doing anything.

On the contrary, if you had no legs, you would need to pull up significantly less weight for each one.

Im sure there would be some setup/logistical problems, but I still think it could be done (and a lot easier than the current wr)

I know that (most) McDonald’s still have the 2 window system where you pay at one window and pick up at another, but it seems like a lot of other places have ended up ditching that concept. I see boxes and storage piled up at the first window. What happened?

I always see religious groups protesting against various social issues or behaviors, but I have never seen a church actively condemn overeating or host protests outside of fast-food chains. Is there a theological reason for this, or did society just mutually agree to ignore this specific sin because food is simply too good? I am just genuinely curious how that line is drawn.

Up until now I always thought the holocaust was something that was done targeting the Jews. But i just learnt that the Nazi’s were all about hierarchies and so if they viewed Jews who were basically whites as inferior, how did he or how were the blacks viewed by Hitler

What happens to a person’s debt if they get convicted for a life sentence? They will never have a job again… what happens to their debt?

At every market where I’ve seen them, English cucumbers are shrink wrapped in plastic. No other cucumbers are wrapped like this. Why?

by DID I’m referring to Dissociative identity disorder, and I really don’t mean to sound insensitive but on twitter and tiktok, I’ve noticed that alot of people (ages ranging from 14-30) claim to have DID.

Is it bad of me that I feel sceptical of them? I remember how in 2020 it somehow was a huge trend to fake serious mental illnesses, and there was a boom of children on tiktok claiming to have ‘systems’. I just find it suspicious that all of the accounts I see claiming to have DID just so happen to be centered around fictional characters or fandoms in which topics like this are relevant.

From what I understand DID is a fairly rare occurrence, and I guess I just somehow doubt that if someone, a child no less, was struggling with something as serious as DID, they wouldnt be on twitter or tiktok all day.

I’d hate to be ignorant though, maybe I’m being obtuse about the entire thing. I just have OCD and I hate the idea of people larping mental illnesses because I know how harmful that can be.

To me, it is strained back. I had heard that sudden strained back is very painful and that once that happens you are unlikely to do daily life for a while. 

I always thought they were exaggerating. I thought it is just a back pain, which we more or less experience frequently.

But when it happened to me several months ago, I realized that all what they had told me was correct.
