Okay this has bugged me my whole life. You walk into a public restroom, the whole reason there are stalls at all is so you get some privacy while you do your business. So why is there always that big gap at the bottom, and those two vertical gaps on either side of the door where you can literally make eye contact with someone walking past if you're not careful?

Or do they just think "I'm taking my human for a walk". Do they actually understand that their eyes don't work? Is there any way to really know?

I know that (most) McDonald’s still have the 2 window system where you pay at one window and pick up at another, but it seems like a lot of other places have ended up ditching that concept. I see boxes and storage piled up at the first window. What happened?

Up until now I always thought the holocaust was something that was done targeting the Jews. But i just learnt that the Nazi’s were all about hierarchies and so if they viewed Jews who were basically whites as inferior, how did he or how were the blacks viewed by Hitler

Why are virgins considered a reward? Isn’t their status as virgins short-lived? Is there a similar reward for females? Are these real women who died as virgins, or are they newly created virgins for the after-life?

I always see religious groups protesting against various social issues or behaviors, but I have never seen a church actively condemn overeating or host protests outside of fast-food chains. Is there a theological reason for this, or did society just mutually agree to ignore this specific sin because food is simply too good? I am just genuinely curious how that line is drawn.

Obviously, I love the show, but, without disrespect, how did it do so well in a society that was still trying to fight for gay/ LGBTQ rights?

During my college years / pandemic, I wanted to make money online. I took on trading, spent a lot of time learning. I had tunnel vision to the point where i dropped out of college (I went back) because i was so confident i was going to make a lot of money... It didnt happen. I feel like some of us are a so fixated on the outcome that we don’t really see anything else.

Today, my girlfriend wants to become a podcaster and she’s good at it, has a YT page and gets okay views but being good at something does not mean you’ll make it. She’s been at it for YEARS wayyyy before i even met her. I’m 100% supportive of what she does, i always cheer her up, tell her it’ll all work out. As much as i want it to work out for her, deep down i just know it might never happen. I’m not sure how to tell or even if i should tell her

What happens to a person’s debt if they get convicted for a life sentence? They will never have a job again… what happens to their debt?

I’m a huge YouTube fan, and it’s basically the only streaming platform I use. I don’t have Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video, or even watch regular TV. Whenever I’m cooking, eating, or just relaxing, I put YouTube on my Smart TV.

I don’t know if this is only happening in Spain or if it’s the same everywhere, but the number of ads lately has become absolutely unbearable.
Today was the final straw. I watched a 20-minute highlight video of the World Cup final, and I’m not exaggerating: before the video even started, I got an unskippable ad that lasted over a minute. Then, every 90 seconds or two minutes, another ad would interrupt the video, usually at least 30 seconds long. By the end, I must have watched around 10–12 ads during a 20-minute video, and several of them were over a minute long.

What’s going on?

I completely understand that YouTube needs ads to make money, and I honestly don’t mind watching ads because the service is free. But this isn’t just advertising anymore it’s excessive. It genuinely feels like they’re trying to make the TV app so frustrating that you’re forced to either stop using it or pay for Premium.

Am I the only one experiencing this, or has anyone else noticed the same thing on Smart TVs?

**P.S.: This is specifically about Smart TVs. On my PC and phone I use an ad blocker, so it’s not an issue there.**

So, I’ve browsing Tiktok lately and come across many short videos of people giving self-defense and like common sense/survival tips when you’re in a shady area and stuff like that.

One advice I saw being given and repeated a lot is that one in tittle, like men do not ask women or children for help, men ask men for help, and I was very confused. I’m a man, a gay man if that matters, I feel like if my car broke down or I got lost or something is chasing me and I’m in an emergency, I would run and ask for help from whomever I see and meet no matter if that’s a child or a woman, even if it’s hypothetically midnight because I need help and especially if it’s emergency. I wouldn’t wait until I see a man walking by If I got lost in middle of no where.

Where does that common advice come from, and is it really something I shouldn’t do asking women and children for help as a guy?

I work in the office 3 days a week and have a younger coworker on a work visa, from a country where hygiene is not the same as it is here. We don't have assigned seats on the days we're here, more of a find an open spot and work type deal. Well no matter where I'm at in the office, I can smell him and it smells like BO mixed with Thrush Breath from not brushing properly and bong water...I know others have noticed and made comments but no one has said anything official yet. Today at lunch, it seems like he went on a run and the whole air around him smells like warm puke now...

My stupid question is, do I go right to HR and make a complaint about the hygiene in the office or should I go to my direct manager to see if he will say something?

I legit have to use either Carmex or vicks rub under my nose on some days, its that bad...
