Just curious how people feel about this lens. Got it for $150. AF works, glass is clean. Noisy as hell but it works.

I wanted to share a few of the photos I've taken with the camera that started me on my photo-taking journey. Also, by no means am I a professional; I just enjoy taking photos and capturing moments with great quality :)

z6iii with 28-400

Im coming from a Nikon D610 to a Z8. Holy cow this thing is a leap forward. These are just some playing around shots with the Z 20mm f1.8, Z 40mm f2, and Z 24-120mm f4. The primes are fun but this zoom is impressive. It feels similar to when I first shot with the F mount 70-200mm f2.8 FL ED VR which I haven’t tried out yet on the Z8. I’m not the strongest with editing. These are just run through dxo Photolab 6 with basic corrections and DeepPrime and ClearView. White balance and exposure are as shot. The mountain view is of Mt. Hood from Jonsrud Viewpoint and the flower shots are from my yard. The bees are fun to watch. I would love to hear peoples’s thoughts.

Heading out later to test it out but the initial impression is positive.

Spent a cold winter morning photographing around a riverbank in North India. The fog was incredibly dense, and as the sun slowly broke through, the light created some beautiful rays and soft, dreamlike scenes. I switched between wildlife and landscapes throughout the morning, so this set includes everything from a Black Kite in flight to misty forests, crows, riverscapes, and quiet moments along the water.

All images were shot on a Nikon Z6 II using:

Viltrox AF 20mm f/2.8 FE,

Tamron 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3 FE,

adapted with the Viltrox E-Z autofocus adapter.

B&H is having a flash sale and the 500mm f/5.6 PF is nearly 50% off ($1,996). Is this too good to pass up? I know it's a buyer's market for F-mount lenses, but this is a huge price drop. Are they just clearing inventory? Pre-owned sales on ebay are going in the $1400-1900 range, so this is a great opportunity.

Shit with D7500 with a Sigma 200-500mm

So recently my father passed me his old Nikon d80 and sortly after I realised that it was broken. Its my first time diving into this topic of full sized cameras and I am a bit confused by naming of cameras. I need to buy something with good image quality and I'm trying to find something as cheap as possible because soon I will go to the trip with my family and I want to use it as a practice. Maybe there is some advices?(Also I already have 2 optics from the old camera on Nikon f bionet so there is no need for new ones. I just need best I can get for around 100-150 $.)

Still deciding how I want to edit these sunset shots but I didn’t want to end up just sitting on them and then forget to post them. All the dust in the air near the horizon makes it tricky but it kind of comes with the territory photographing a monsoon.

These tiny metallic flies are active predators, hunting small insects such as aphids, springtails, and gnats. Despite their delicate appearance, they're incredibly agile hunters and are considered beneficial insects.

Captured in the wild with a D500, and Sigma 105mm f2.8 Macro

I ordered a untested 35-70 f2.8D from ebay and it looked fine in the pictures but there were no mentions of haze and fungus. it doesn't seem to affect picture quality. Autofocus and macro mode both work. Is it worth taking it apart to try and clean it and would i have to worry about it coming back and spreading to my camera?

For those of you who have used both, which do you prefer the images from? I used to have a d750 and loved it, but it started having issues so I traded it in. I’ve been using Sony since, but I’m missing my Nikon DSLR images and am looking to pick up another to use occasionally. Prefer to stay around $500 used. What would be your recommendation? I see I can get a d800 really cheap these days, but I’d like something as good as the D750 or better

Hi! I’m a beginner with a D3500 and kit lens(18-55, 70-300). I mostly take pictures of landscapes or other places of interest and carry it with me during vacations. I want to expand to portraits and generally get better at photography. Current issues I’m facing: D3500 is not great in low light and I take a lot of pictures around sunset. It’s also not great to shoot without a tripod and most of the times I’m carrying it in my hand(end up with a lot of shaky pictures). Lastly, some of the images, even in great light are not sharp.

My questions: Should I upgrade? Any suggestions for a camera body <$1500. Can the sharpness be improved by getting better lens?

I'm a longtime film shooter on a Nikon FE looking to pick up a digital camera and am in a dilemma about what's worth investing in. I currently have a set of half a dozen pretty decent manual focus pre-AI and AI Nikkor lenses, and am trying to decide whether to grab a body that could take advantage of this glass I have, or if I should just make the jump to a new system and leave the old lenses to the film camera.

Most of what I shoot is nature/landscape stuff (not so much wildlife), but I also do some portraits and news stuff -- I'm a writer and would love to be able to take quality photos of stories I'm working on. I almost never need/use anything longer than 50mm.

Options I've looked at are the Sony Alpha series, cheaper Nikon Z series (Z50, Z5), and Fuji's XT-20s and the like. Fujis appeal to me to the extent that I find editing somewhat tedious. Not opposed to investing in one quality prime lens, or something like an 18-55.

Something lightweight that I can take on hiking and backpacking trips is also a plus.

I'd love to spend between $500-700, if possible.

Helping my partner get a super telephoto lens, we can't decide which would be better. They are both similar in price (the 200-500 being use tho)

Also if you have had the Tamron, does it work well? I had the 70-300mm for a while and enjoyed it but found the autofocus worked worse than my nikon glass and it made my camera start up time take longer. Are there similar issues with the 150-500?

And if you have other suggestions, she was looking at the 500mm PF but the cheaper ones are all in bad condition
