Interrail is not good in Spain. Is it better in Portugal?
I am in Western Andalusia. I was planning to cross to France.
Trains to Madrid via Seville are difficult to reserve.
I was thinking, maybe I could go through Portugal, a pit stop in Lisbon, Galicia and cross through the north?
Is it a better idea? Or am I going to be stuck with the same reservation situation than in Spain?

planning my one month trip though Europe
Hello everyone, I want to interrail though Europe next summer (mis-june to mid-july approx.)
I want to go to places with history and culture but also places where I can relax by the sea with beautiful landscapes and hikes.
I'm departing from Lyon and we were thinking of doing the following itinerary:
- Lyon → Barcelona
- Barcelona → Marseille
- Marseille → Milan
- Milan → Bolzano
- Bolzano → Venice
- Venice → Ljubljana
- Zagreb → Split
the Ljubljana → Zagreb train will be bought separately
Here are my questions:
1 - Apart from the selected cities, what other cities are worth visiting given the itinerary?
2 - Would you recommend visiting different countries other than the ones we plan on visiting?
3 - Taking into account train/ ferry trip duration, is our route ideal, especially around the northern countries?
Thank you for your help!
