Cirqa Does Amazon list Garmin launch products at the same time as garmin website ? For Cirqa.

Upvotes

Wondering where would be the best place to get it on launch day for faster delivery? Not sure if it will be listed on amazon at the same time.

Bestbuy is a option but probably will be sold out by the time I get there, also their delivery is aug 10th.

Cirqa Cirqa hr accuracy

Upvotes

I had a forerunner 265 at some point and now forerunner 570.

I know FR 265 hr accuracy is not that great, when i switched to 570 i can feel the big difference in hr accuracy.

Well how can i say that? I have a hrm200 strap and there are days when i run without it… basically i forget it at home lol. After using hrm 200 for this many months and i can now easily correlate HR with feel ans i can say its very accurate (during my base runs)

Sorry coming to main point. Gen 5 sensor is really good imo, garmin not using it in CIRQA is massive let down.

Chase the summit shared the sample HR from his forst run compared between CIRQA, WHOOP, Helio strap and hrm 600. The only one with shitty recording was CIRQA.

Possible Technical Issue Issues Connecting Pixel Watch 2 as Heartbeat Monitor

Upvotes

I recently bought a Garmin Edge 540 and have setup my Pixel Watch 2 as a heartbeat monitor and past the initial pairing I'm having a really hard time getting the two to connect.

The method I have been using to get the two to connect is to have both the edge awake and then on the pixel I select the connected fitness/share heartbeat menu and tap connect. I've gotten this to work a couple of times but it's extremely finicky and unreliable, the most recent ride I did I couldn't get it to connect and just went without the monitor.

I was just wondering if anyone has found a more reliable way to connect, either initiated through the edge or the watch. I've tried going into the sensors menu and selecting connect on the watch and the connection spinner appears for a while then eventually goes away without connecting. Auto connect is on, on both devices.

Discussion Bounce 2 and aging up

Upvotes

So you can't have a Garmin Connect account unless you're 13, you need a Garmin Jr account until that age. But what about a 13 year old with the Bounce 2? Are they forever locked into Garmin Jr with that watch or can they graduate to Connect?

My kiddo is outgrowing her Vivofit Jr and I'm considering the Bounce 2 but (terrifyingly enough) 13 isn't that far away and I was thinking of either a Lily for that age.

Possible Technical Issue Vivoactive 6 not staying connected

Upvotes

I have tried garmin support and gotten no where in the almost 8 months I have had this watch. It wont stay connected to my phone. Is there something I can try or am I just stuck looking for a new one next time I have the money?

And, if I do just need to give in and get a new one, any recommendations on which one to get instead? I love this one when it stays connected, I really do. It has everything I want without all kinds of extra stuff I don't need. I just want to be able to see my notifications for more than 20 minutes after I connect it to my phone

Discussion FR970 vs Fenix 8 Solar vs Venu 4?

Hi everyone,

I’m thinking about buying my first Garmin watch. I previously used Amazfit watches, but I’m now considering switching to Garmin.

Most of my sports activities are running, jogging, weightlifting, and resistance training. I also care about everyday use, walking, sleep tracking, and general health metrics.

My main dilemma is between the Forerunner 970 and the Fenix 8 Solar, especially since their prices are relatively close. However, part of me thinks that the Venu 4 may already be more than enough for my needs.

I understand the main differences between the Venu 4 and the Forerunner 970, especially when it comes to advanced training metrics, navigation, maps, and running features. However, I’m not sure whether I would actually use all those additional features enough to justify the higher price.

By choosing the Venu 4, I could use the money saved to buy a Garmin chest strap or other useful accessories instead.

My biggest priority is longevity. I want a watch that I can keep for many years, both in terms of hardware durability and software support. I previously considered the Epix Pro Gen 2, but since it is already an older model, I’m concerned about buying it now if I plan to keep the watch for a long time.

Would the Venu 4 be sufficient for running, jogging, weightlifting, resistance training, sleep tracking, and everyday use?

Or would it be smarter to spend more on the Forerunner 970 or Fenix 8 Solar for better long-term value?

I don’t want to choose the cheaper watch and regret it later, thinking that I could have bought a more capable model that would remain useful for many years.

I’d especially appreciate opinions from people who do both running and strength training, or who have experience with more than one of these Garmin watch lines.

Discussion For navigation purposes, do I need to change Start/End Points when using someone else's saved route from Strava if I'm not starting/ending at same location?

So I found a 30km route in a unfamiliar city that I wanted to run on Strava and saved it which created a copy to Garmin. The route is a loop so realistically it doesn't really matter where you start from.

However, for the purposes of navigation and because I am unfamiliar with the city, when I start my run with that route at a location different to the designated start point, would it be telling me that I am off-track or would the navigation just start and continue from where I am currently all the way to my own start/End point? Or would the navigation stop at the designated point in the saved route?

This is my first time using these features and thought to make the most of it.

Possible Technical Issue Garmin Venu 4 blue triangle issue

I was running today and my watch restarted multiple times during my run, showing a blue triangle each time. It happened around 12 times during a 4-mile run, which was extremely frustrating.

I bought the watch only about 4 months ago, so I’m surprised to already be experiencing issues.

There is no software update available, and the battery was at 70%, so I don’t think it’s related to the battery level.

Can someone help me troubleshoot and fix this issue? Thank you!

Wellness & Training Metrics / Features Understanding Sleep Alignment

I recently started digging into the Sleep Alignment that my Fenix 8 can calculate. I’ve read the Help article on sleep alignment but t hasn’t quite answered my question:

Optimal bedtime and Optimal wake time - are these values that anyone has seen change over time? Right now my optimal wake time is 6:30 AM, but I have to leave for work by 6:40 AM. I know this isn’t anything super important, but if my circadian rhythm is estimated to be between the bedtime and wake time, I figure there is probably a way to shift this back a bit. Anyone notice this changing over time with their profile?

Discussion Garmin forerunner 970 treadmill pace way off

I got a Garmin forerunner 970 (Apple Watch series 9 before) and the treadmill run pace seems pretty off.

On treadmill I set a 8m 20sec km pace.
During the run the watch was reporting extremely inaccurate pace. Range 7m to 7m 40s. The best I saw it was ~7m 50s

Note I was running the entire time.

The distance was also off by nearly +.5km.

After calibration stats
3.13km 24m 55s for average pace 7m 47s

But according to math it’s 7m 58s

(24x60)+55 =1,495
1,495/3.13=477.636
477.36/60=7.956
60*.956=57.36
7min 58s

Why is it so inaccurate? My Apple Watch was pretty much on par with treadmill. I only wore my Garmin, so I’ll repeat the run with both watches next time

Discussion Looking for advice!

Hi! I’m looking for some advice around what tracker is best for me and hoping that someone could help!

I’m currently stuck between a Garmin smartwatch, the new Garmin Cirqa or staying with my Whoop.

The biggest things for me are more health & sleep related, so real-time heart rates, stress tracking etc.

Workouts are a bonus - I’m not big on running anymore.

I currently have a Whoop 5.0 on trial, and used a Whoop 4.0 for the majority of last year, but don’t have any loyalties.

Would rather avoid a subscription where necessary but not completely against it!

Thanks in advance 🙂

Wellness & Training Metrics / Features VO2 Max

pardon the throwaway account, but i started running distance about a month and half ago and have a 44 vo2 max average. comparing that to everyone else on this subreddit and other distance subreddits, it feels awful. i’m relatively young, so i don’t know much about it. can it improve quickly?

edit; i will add, ive only been focusing on times lately. i managed to drop from a 9:29 to a 7:24 (so proud of myself) and have wanted to expand to caring for other aspects of endurance!

Cycling / Bike Computer Indoor cycling - Register activity on garmin connect

Hello,

I have an indoor magnetic bycicle (merach S26b2) and I want somehow to register my activities in garmin connect + (with garmin 245), so these activities (calories, time, hr, distance) can count for exercise and recovery.

Currently, I register this activities on mywhoosh and connect my Garmin hr strap to the app and then upload then to strava (don't have these activities at garmin connect).

Which piece of hardware do I need to buy to proper register these activities?

Thank you!

Cirqa Cirqa during the night, Fenix8 during the day

Hey guys, love my fenix8 and been wearing it daily ever since I got it. My only problem is: I hate how bulky it is while sleeping and end up putting it on my nightstand, not tracking any vital data during the night.
I’ve had a whoop in the past which didn’t bother me with its slim form factor. Now with cirqa I’m considering getting it, to get sleep data and using the fenix8 during the day and my workouts.

Anyone know if data would sync up nicely and whether that would be a supported use case?

Cirqa Chase the Summit - Initial Impressions

I initially thought this will replace my current Epix 2 but it seems more likely I will use them both for activities, and the band for general stats tracking.

Anyone else exited to be able to be able to wear their normal watches again ?

Garmin also mentioned that they reconsidered and add the HR display during an activity without a subscription required.

Watch / Wearable Question regarding use of multiple devices

Post image
9 Upvotes

Hello all, I have problems understanding how several devices sync their data to Garmin Connect.

I wear a Garmin Forerunner 945 throughout the day, that's where the data in the screenshot comes from. But I ride my bike on my commute to work, where I use my Garmin Edge and a HRM chest strap. I don't see the point in wearing my watch during the ride, because the data, including heat rate, gets recorded on the Edge. So for the bike rides, I take off my watch.

The thing is: during this time, there is no data available for body battery and other related stats (highlighted through the dotted graph, which basically means the data is incomplete). I don't understand why, because there is in fact data recorded during this time, just on a different device. If I look at my HR chart of the whole day, there those blanks are filled.

I don't see the point in wearing my watch while at the same time recording the bike rides on the Edge, only to have complete data.

Can someone help here? Is it really necessary to wear the watch all the time, even if I use other Garmin devices?

I'm eyeballing the Garmin Cirqa, but I was also thinking of taking it off during bike rides or swims, using it more as a passive tracker, but using my "real" sports related devices for recording activities. It would be a bummer buying a Cirqa but still having incomplete data.

Strava / Zwift / 3rd Party Apps Strength Garmin Activities not syncing to Training Peaks

Since this week neither my or my wife's Strength activities are syncing from Garmin to Training Peaks. Other workouts like Run, Bike, Swim sync as normal. Anyone else facing issues for Strength exercises syncing? It's odd because we use different devices and accounts but both are facing the same issue at the same time.

Connect / Connect IQ / 1st Party Apps Garmin Connect is Messy

Anyone else feel this way, especially with the most recent update adding the essentials bar at the top?

Now there are 4 metrics in the essentials bar, then In Focus where you scroll horizontally to view generally the same metrics as the essentials bar, then the glances are just different metrics to glance...they all generally perform the exact same purpose and in many cases can show the same key data like training readiness or whatever...

Leads me to wonder why are they making these so repetitive and also wonder if a larger overhaul to the app is coming because this is just getting messy.

The CIRQA marketing video shows a lot more glass UI effects and stuff and typically marketing and branding of a product tries to align and match the feel of the product and the services...could Connect be getting a UI update to align more with modern design language with the glass UI, and updated navigation and everything to match more modern apps like bevel.

Accessories / Companion Device Sick of proprietary cable clutter

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

From cable clutter and prototype fails to a completely cordless setup, I spent the last few months building a Qi wireless charging adapter for my Garmin watch.

Like maybe many of you, the missing wireless charging on Garmin watches was always my biggest friction point—especially coming from devices where you just drop it on a desk pad. The battery lasts 2 weeks, which is awesome, but every 14 days I'd end up hunting for that one specific 4-pin cable hidden under a mountain of cords.

Instead of just complaining, I decided to fix it myself.

It's been a fun project to get my desk cable-free, at least visually . Curious to hear your thoughts!
