If someone could take a look see if these are in good condition i see a crack in the inner ring but i don’t know if that something that gonna ruin the game if someone else has a better maybe catch something before i go off and buy this

Just wanted to show you guys this bundle I have had since I was a kid and see if anyone could give me any information on this bundle as I’ve never seen another one, have had this since I was a kid and have seen a few of the Japanese bundles for sale but I don’t think I’ve ever seen another English version, my one is Aus pal, it’s fully complete and the gameboy player disk is still in really great condition, although the GameCube itself has started to discolour more than the gameboy player as I had the player boxed for a long time, thanks everyone!

Hi everyone! So recently bought a DOL-001 Gamecube. It was my childhood console and I'm super happy. Surprisingly my 2019 Samsung Smart TV has composite connections so I am able to play at 480i.

I've been looking at adaptors to be able to play in 480p and have better image quality and stumbled upon these two.

The retro-bit seems like a great choice since it's a dedicated piece of hardware.

I also found this odv-gbs-c that is more generic. I am considering it as an option since I would like to expand my retro console collection with an N64 and a PS2 in the near future. This would allow me to just get a simple composite switcher and hook up all consoles to the same upscaler/deinterlacer.

My question is, should I go for the dedicated Gamecube adapter and work on a per console basis or is this odv-gbs-c just as good?

Any insight is much appreciated!

Yesterday I made the decision to acquire my Holy Grail… the Panasonic Q! I got a message from my boss over the weekend saying they picked up a CIB Panasonic Q at the Southeast Game Exchange over this last weekend. Decided then and there to trade in some of my retro collection to finish my dream of owning the Panasonic Q. It is modded to be region free, replaced drive belt and has new drive rails. It also has Picoboot and Swiss through SD2SP2. I think it was worth the purchase! Next on the list is the Gameboy player, may take a while but I’ll get there!

This is a shout out to all the parents on this sub. My wife and I are lucky to get 1-2 hours in the evening after the kids go to bed to spend some time on our hobbies and together. We have a rule though, we aren’t allowed to do them in separate rooms. Because of this, we have our makeshift tables. She enjoys doing puzzles and I enjoy fixing cubes.

About to beat this game for the first time. Love its slow pace and honestly I was using Pokémon I would never use in the traditional games.

Does anyone know why the GameCube twilight princess is a lot more than the Wii U version that you could get a amiibo box set and it says hd. Is it just nostalgia or is one or the other superior in gameplay or graphics. I have both consoles and I’m asking because I want the best edition to play and get the best. Give me your opinions please cause I’m not sure if one is better than the other, other than price.

This was sitting for a while and when I turned it on the inside screen is cracked/fuzzy. It’s a gamecube with the screen attached if that helps!

It’s been almost a year since I purchased my GameCube. I never owned one as a child (my parents got me an Xbox when my N64 broke). It’s been a blast experiencing this era of gaming with the authentic hardware. I’m planning on getting either Luigi’s Mansion or Eternal Darkness when spooky season rolls around.

My gamecube has a problem where it more often that not refuses to start up swiss after turning it on, instead just defaulting to the standard gamecube starting screen. Every now and then it does manage to boot it up, but I don't know what causes it. I've tried using sd2sp2 and gc2sd but the problem remains. When I take out the sd card and turn on the gamecube, it says it's unable to locate the sd card. Does anybody know what might be causing this? thanks :)

I had multiple memory cards so had to go through them all. Smash Melee is by far my most played game on the GC.

Amazing memories. My cousins along with my brother and I would always play 4 player Smash or one of the bond games in multiplayer!

I'm using a Wii but I'm pretty sure the issue is with the game, not the console. I've had my copy since last summer and it always worked fine until today. The last time I played it was a few months ago.

FLUDD is full, but when I press the R button, he doesn't shoot any water. Mario poses as if he is shooting water but nothing comes out. I even switched files and it was at the point right after FLUDD gives the tutorial and the same issue is over there. It's not an official controller but I've had it since 2021 and it works fine on Mario Kart Wii. I tried restarting the game, restarting the console, wiping the disc against my jeans. But nothing's working.

I don't see what I'm doing different from others. Is is because the rom is .iso? What makes it different from rvz.?

So some of you might remember me I’m Walrus Archive, I’m trying to play and archive all GameCube games! I’m currently on game 108 evolution worlds! And something that I wanted to talk about is can anyone think of another game that combined 2 games into 1 like evolution worlds in the way they did it? Like it really feels like they just wanted you to play the second one and they took 10% of the first game and made it the tutorial? It’s just strange , would love to hear input ! Image is not mine but is close to what I get everytime I reboot Swiss.

I am trying to use Bitfunx component cable on a Wega CRT NTSC. When I tried, Gamecube OEM menu shows regular picture However, when I booted Swiss, it gets glitchy and then goes to black picture.

I connected an SVideo cable, in global settings, set force NTSC video = 480i and save settings.

Then swapped to the component again, and everything worked. Normal Swiss Menu, game booting fine.

But then when I rebooted the console and went to boot swiss again, the SAME thing happens again. Same glitch then black picture.

Is it, maybe, NOT saving the configuration? Weird since the global.ini file shows the setting of Force 480i fine.

Help is appreciated.

Update SOLVED:
I changed some settings in Swiss (using the console's OG composite cable). Pressed B on Swiss, went into the gear, and there was something set on 480i (auto). Changed that to 480i (without the auto) and it seems to now stay always working on Component.

I just wanted to come here and vent/be sad for a minute.

We had a house fire yesterday and I'm so grateful we were home so we could get our dog out. But we have so much smoke and soot damage.

My GameCube was right in the line of where the smoke and soot was, and my games were as well. I'm just gutted. Most of my collection was from childhood and it's just.. gone. The discs should hopefully be okay since they were in the cases but replacing the cases... And who knows if my memory card is working. The GameCube itself is shot though. Most electronics in the house are.

Give your GameCubes some extra love for me. Especially any pristine copies of Twilight Princess.

Heya, I just brought a gamecube as wanting to replay Ocarina Of Time years ago. It’s been great but the idea of modding it came into my head 2 days ago and made sense as growing up, I had many moded consoles thanks to my brother. However I literally don’t know where to start. I’ve been doing research and I’ve never been so confused. I’d like to go down the non-solder route if possible and would like to have multiple games on a sd card or however it works. If anyone can point me in the right direction, I’d be greatly appreciative, if not I understand. Thanks for reading!
