Honestly, it's not so surprising and might at least be a factor into why they went the quick 1:1 remake route. I guess one thing that's pretty odd is Liam Robertson claiming that he knew about the Star Fox remake since 2022, which was before the first SMB movie even came out, so hmm..

The Plushys look a little cheap compared to the Krystelle Plush, but I'm happy I have something physical of them all at least!

This bug occurred after repeating Venom 1 several times in Challenge Mode and then resuming a campaign. Resetting the game still allowed me to continue where I left off, thankfully.

This is probably a stupid question, I just personally find it easier to go to my local Walmart or Target and get whatever I need instead of going online shopping, and I was wondering if Nintendo had any plans to sell them at stores like the ones I mentioned. And if not, that’s alright, I can still just get it online.

Something that never felt quite right to me is how boosting and braking works. In most of the games in the series, you have a very short allowance for both and the in-game explanation is they are tied to the G-Diffuser system. But that never made sense to me since boosting is (or should) just be diverting more power to the engines, while braking uses less power and physical flaps to slow down (in the Blue Marine's case, you can actually see air bubbles when the sub moves. Not sure if there's anything visible in space aside from the engine. Fox actually stops the Landmaster during the Titania boss fight). Cutscenes and scripted events (Sector Z, Titania) also show the team moving faster or slower for as long as desired.

Star Fox 1 had a similar binary approach, so on one hand, I get why they kept it for 64. But Star Fox 2 gives you unlimited boost and brake and it feels fantastic. Zero extends your boost and brake time by something like (going from memory) 8x the amount of 64's and that feels really good too.

Opening up the boost and brake for 64 / '26 could have created a whole new way to do runs. What does everyone think here?

RayRod TV made a VR mod for Star Fox 64. It has 4 camera views: theater, third person, diorama and first person view. In the first person we got all the action like Fox sees it, with loopings being upside down and barrel rolls rotating the view like they should. Hey everyone! I’ve found I’m having a bit of trouble gauging what the average person actually thinks of the new Star Fox. This sub is obviously biased towards it because we’re all big fans of the series, but from YouTube comments I’ve seen, it seems like a lot of more casual fans still mock the game for its voice direction, character designs, and it being another remake of 64.

The game obviously reviewed well and I personally love it (it’s the first Star Fox I’ve played), but overall online discourse still seems super mixed. What are your thoughts?

Hey guys I had some troubles with the normal controller I like the movement of 3d person but I like the aim of first person (they should allow me to shoot using the mouse in 3d person). Anyway in my last run I play co-op alone I hold both controllers and do both at the same time. It's the weirdest control scheme ever but it allows me to do everything I want easier.
