In-island transactions unlock a new revenue stream in addition to engagement payouts.
We've just released new docs to help you prepare ahead of the livestream—covering the basics of integrating in-island transactions into your games.

Tune in on July 28 at 2 PM ET for our Creating in Fortnite livestream on getting started with in-island transactions, where we’ll use Verse to create offers for islands.
After the stream, all showcased Verse code will be published to the Snippets Repository on the Epic Developer Community—so you can explore, reuse, and build on it.

Does anyone get the feeling that this whole ecosphere is dying and not worth the effort? are we beating a dead horse here? IS epic just propping up this system to make it to the next shareholders meeting? I have created a couple of maps, and working on a third but I find myself just fighting more with the 'system' than actually creating at this point. Here is what I have noticed thus far:
1> Bugs and Broken Assets are increasing at an alarming rate. Much more so than just a year ago. Some of these bugs are finally being addressed after 2 years of sitting in limbo and then closed as "unable to reproduce"
2> Creative 1.0 is even more broken than UEFN
3> UEFN has had major, major issues with memory leaks, and crashes for some time that do not go resolved, and crazy workarounds to get it running on 32GB of ram. It runs so friggen slow even if you open a blank island.
4> The payouts have gone coo-coo lately and reports of players loosing their In-game purchases.
5> So many good maps are basically empty these days because of BUGS/Discoverability/And the constant fight to have to try to resolve issues because of 'changes' at epic games.
6> Scenegraph might be officially in BETA, but its more like an alpha test at this point, with so many features missing/broken or not working as they should. And the bridge between older creative devices and scene graph is a disaster.
7> Verse, the most convoluted scripting language I have ever seen. What works here, doesn't work over there, and what works over there, doesn't work over here! And the syntax just straight up doesn't make sense. Oh, but it doesn't stop there, there are behaviour scripts, regular verse scripts, etc, etc, and they they all work a little different just to really annoy you when you need them to talk to each other in any meaningful way.
8> AI SLOP - Both inside the official engine, and outside in the maps etc...nuff said.
9> General Server Issues, Lost Player Data, and just really slow performance in general.
10> Poor or incomplete documentation. using YT videos as a substitute for manuals, which become redundant after a few months because EPIC decides to redo/drop/change/remove something for the xxxth time.
11> The recent announcement regarding Unity Engine...ugh....
12> 'In Game Memory Limit' that forces devs/creators to unload/reload assets constantly when someone is near it, and then having devices break because a player is 'too far away'.

I have been searching for Marvel associated props/weapons/consumables for a while now, I have had trouble finding people who have any. Does anybody have some I could have? My user is Tate_jex

Is there a way to see map you played in the past like ever since you had your account created and all the game modes you played from then to now?

I only recently uploaded my map to fortnite's ecosystem and was curious on any tips or ideas people may have on making and/or planning out trailers for their maps? I do not have a team so this is a solo endeavor. I have not really used editing software before either so think of me starting from zero 😅
My map code is : 3926-1784-3784
If that would help with giving tips for planning 🙌
Thank you in advance!

Hello! I’m nearing completion on my map inspired by COD and BF. It’s got 150+ weapons (including 10 custom weapons) all with their own custom progression, including unlock challenges ranging from 40-100+ elims split between 2-6 custom challenges with custom requirements like level, airborne, headshot, etc. the map is extremely deep in progression with over 7,000 possible levels to earn on weapons. I’ve made a fully custom main menu for the map, so rather than running around in the world, your loadout and everything is set within a UI
The only thing missing is the map environments, which I suck at. I’m really struggling to make environments that are well built, have a general theme, and are similarly good to play in.
HOWEVER, I CANNOT PAY (yeah, I know…) instead, I’d be willing to put your creator code/username where the map name is shown (
“Hollow Hills, made by FortniteGamer”) and I’d attempt (idk the logistics of this yet, but I’m sure it’s possible) to make a developer package unlocked in game for you, something like an extra 10 weapons unlocked off the bat on top of the 8 base weapons, and a decent amount of the in game currency so levelling up your weapons is less of a grind.
The environments are 20x20 - 30x30. You would just copy all the builds in your environment and paste the resulting text into a pastebin and send it so I can copy and paste it into the map (terrain wouldn’t be copied, so you’d probably want to send a screenshot so I can do my best to recreate the terrain. )
Im kinda asking if anyone is bored of their projects and wants to contribute to a project that’s (in my opinion) really cool, ik seeing if people are willing to do work for free and just in game rewards for a map that may never even succeed is kinda useless, but I figured it doesn’t hurt to see.

The new content update coming on July 25 will finally help players deal with spawncampers. This issue has been known since the beginning of this map and now players will finally have the chance to defend their spawns without sacrificing reinforcements

The desert map terrain is finally finished! It was long and so annoying. Now I just need to add the flora, fauna, and structures... which is basically 70% of the map. Damn, it's gonna take a while.

Hey I'm really getting into making roleplay maps in 1.0 so I was wondering if you had any advice to make my houses look more like houses in the real world as well for decorating the inside of them but I mainly just need advice on how to make my maps look better without using devices
