On the start of STW, our character, the commander gets this headset and goes on to control Ramirez with it, so.. are heroes robots? Are they humans with a brain chip that the headset controls? I have no idea
So I have discovered a thing It's obvious actually when you get your daily for example kill 300 husks, do it on endurance and then leave from the console of your storm shield so you go back to homebase not the main lobby.
Another solution is if you get any of other dailies play Ride the lightning or retrieve the data, and simply after you done your daily start the objective and let the husks destroyed it.
After the objective get destroyed you go back to the homebase not the main lobby that all hopefully it's help good luck everyone.
Randoms don't give a shit if there are lobbers or flingers, you're left to defend against them on your own while they do whatever they do and all of the roof is collapsing
I always thought "wow it would be cool to fight husks on my face toaster" so I came up with an idea for a STW VR side game/campaign. I was basing it off the Assassins Creed Nexus game and a bit of TellTale games.
The idea was that it had episode based level system Like TellTale's Sam & Max or Walking Dead for different main heros (Ken, Kyle, Ramirez, etc) that involves their own story and could potentially tie into a final level of chapter with all the cast. Maybe like a Storm King battle.
Each chapter would have different controls based off the character's class (Ken would be melee based, kyle would be more tanky/protective, and Ramirez would be gun based)
And i also had an idea of potential DLC where you could play as NPCs like Ray and Lars.
I was mainly setting this up as a single player thing but I had the idea of a COD Zombies style multi-player edition.
I have to make the post long so ummm, can we get the chaos reloader AR? If yes, then have u used and how good is it? can u kill multiple zombies at once with it?
My storage is basically overstocked because of nuts and bolts, planks, and rough ore. Meaning I have to recycle supply drop traps much more often. Does anyone else have this issue?
I wonder how practical it would be for epic to decouple STW from its current neglected development and allow the community to create custom missions using the framework of UEFN. Sure this may lead to more brainrot but I'm sure there will be some talented and passionate players that will take the game and develop it beyond what Epic has planned. They can keep the hombase system and the existing zones, heros schematics etc, but a new zone for custom missions build through UEFN would be awesome.
I've found myself playing a lot more creative instead of STW lately and I'm blown away with the things people are making. For reference im an OG pre-order founder that loves STW but this game really has no future if it stays completely under Epic's control.
I use this loadout when I need to collect ammo and materials and just feel like annihilating husks in the process. I carry a 3x speed baron with steam cloud perk and usually smash and burn them when they cluster at the decoy or get in my face. đ Good for testing endurance runs and weapons. The trap kills keep ârockin riffâ going constantly for the damage and attack speed/fire rate boosts. If you donât want recycling and more survivability you can change it to âblast from the pastâ team perk and change Kyle to whatever dinosaur hero works for you.
accepting that this game will never be properly finished,
getting a twine storyline,
getting good, if not essential updates,
getting epic to care again,
and becoming dead and forgotten
the game is still good but dear god is it more dead than when it became f2p
tl;dr - love the new defenders, devs, thank you: but they do everything for me now. Great in 160s, everywhere else it makes gameplay feel a little flat. Tweak them please?
****
EDIT: Yes, I know I can decide to hamstring myself by using fewer defenders or giving them worse weapons but that just makes me feel like a mug, and teammates will always have the Gammatron Site Foreman equipped in slot one so the problem doesn't go away.
Apologies in advance, everyone. This is gonna get me shushed and downvoted into a fine paste, I know, and it's fair enough. Hit that down arrow all you want, in your place I probably would too. This post is gonna get ratioed and I'm okay with that.
The defenders rework has been amazing. Couldn't have asked for more: great job. But now the initial 'unlimited powerrrrrrr!' feeling has worn off, I feel I do have to ask for less.
When I've got three defenders around me with the ridiculously OP weapons I'm allowed to give them at zero ammo cost and zero durability cost - even in ventures - then 90% of the time I end up doing absolutely nothing whatsoever*.
I can literally stand and watch and enjoy a coffee while these guys eliminate encampments, melt mobs and scrag smashers. I don't have to worry about getting downed, because even if I've left them stationed halfway across the map, they'll appear to revive me.
Sorry, everyone. Defenders are currently the most overpowered thing I've ever seen in StW (yes, including the pre-nerf Derpcharger) and they come with zero downsides or disadvantages.
Right now, in a co-op game, I actively don't want teammates to join because even the most skilled and helpful human is a downgrade compared to an AI (although it's a great bit of social commentary about how, ie, Claude is making me feel about my job, I won't lie).
I'd like to keep them at this level of effectiveness only for the most challenging content in the game - basically only 160s. For any easier content, they do literally everything for you before you can even get close to the husks with, eg, a sword. Just standing there while your minions carry you is not fun.
I want desperate last-minute clutches during defences. I want camps and eliminate & collect to be exhilarating edge-of-your-seat combat where you need to worry about health and shield. I want survivor rescues to be a challenge keeping the husks at bay long enough to save people.
Let's dial 'em back a bit, please, unless we're facing a really serious challenge.
*: Some of that is down to unintended features with a small subset of weapons, but you can hand them normal killware and get the same level of map-wiping. It's less pronounced with melee defenders than other kinds, but they're strong too.
(This is the only art I've managed to save ages ago.)
I was looking for a few of ToBinge's old Fortnite art since I remembered liking the short animations they did, and the memes and art from the older days. But almost everything they've posted got scrubbed. I couldn't find their Reddit account either, but I did recall one time, they were making Path of Exile art and traced over their old work, like Penny and Sarah laughing.
Does anyone know why they've done this, or if there's an archive anywhere?

The reason im asking is, because after evovling 1 hero and 3 weapons i am now left with only around 200 pure rain drops so only enough to evolve 3 times. What is the order of priority in things i should be evovling?
Overall i had quite a bit of fun playing stw since it went f2p, alltough i have to admit i did play it as founder a few years back so i knew i would be having fun.
Some points i wanna talk about:
The Story was decent, had some funny and emotional interactions and was just a nice motivation to keep playing. One gripe i do have with the story however is, that many quests seemed pretty random at times. Like something thrown in the middle of a bigger questline which is only used as filler. I also found it weird how near the end of the story they introduce Penny's sister and just not mention her any more at all. The storm king fight was also very anti-climatic.
The gameplay was honestly okay, i will admit that the story was my main motivation to keep playing rather than the gameplay since it was very repetive. It was kinda nice to see my defenses and trap builds just easily take care of husks on missions/ssd.
lastly the bugs i have experienced in the past months were pretty annoying, but sadly just something we have to deal with.
Lastly i want to just hear your thoughts on wether or not adding micro-transactions to stw in exchange for a twine peaks story line would be worth it and what kind of micro-transactions you guys would/wouldn't want to see.
