I love the fast action dynamic of reload. Less travel in between kills and an overall action-packed game mode.
However, what really grinds my gears is that epic neglects to really do anything with it. The maps get boring quickly when you are only cycling the same few maps.
If we got new reload maps say, every 2-3 weeks, it would be so much more stimulating. Imagine cycling through many different maps instead of the same old 4-6.. I don’t feel like that is too much to ask for.
I think reload would make a killing with this simple change.. but epic likes to keep us in the same area forever at a time. It’s too bad.
I feel like regular battle royale could use some more frequent map changes too instead of a couple slight POI adjustments every couple of months.. but they’re the professionals here, what do I know? 🙄
On a side note: more free car unlocks and less graffiti sprays and sidekicks!!
I’m trying to switch my sons account on pc from his Xbox account to his PS5 account but it keeps saying the Sony server timed out. Has anyone else had this happen ??
I use this loadout when I need to collect ammo and materials and just feel like annihilating husks in the process. I carry a 3x speed baron with steam cloud perk and usually smash and burn them when they cluster at the decoy or get in my face. 😃 Good for testing endurance runs and weapons. The trap kills keep “rockin riff” going constantly for the damage and attack speed/fire rate boosts. If you don’t want recycling and more survivability you can change it to “blast from the past” team perk and change Kyle to whatever dinosaur hero works for you.
I wonder how practical it would be for epic to decouple STW from its current neglected development and allow the community to create custom missions using the framework of UEFN. Sure this may lead to more brainrot but I'm sure there will be some talented and passionate players that will take the game and develop it beyond what Epic has planned. They can keep the hombase system and the existing zones, heros schematics etc, but a new zone for custom missions build through UEFN would be awesome.
I've found myself playing a lot more creative instead of STW lately and I'm blown away with the things people are making. For reference im an OG pre-order founder that loves STW but this game really has no future if it stays completely under Epic's control.
The reason im asking is, because after evovling 1 hero and 3 weapons i am now left with only around 200 pure rain drops so only enough to evolve 3 times. What is the order of priority in things i should be evovling?
accepting that this game will never be properly finished,
getting a twine storyline,
getting good, if not essential updates,
getting epic to care again,
and becoming dead and forgotten
the game is still good but dear god is it more dead than when it became f2p
Ever since Stonewood got a graphics update, and even more so since the f2p update, I've been noticing these very weird shading glitches. Now I do have shadows turned off in the screenshots, however they do appear (and are much more visible) on my Switch 2, Series S, PS5, and anything with shadows enabled. I originally thought it was my graphics drivers until discovering that. It also happens in EVERY zone.
I was thinking that they messed up some cloud shading texture, since it's always in this grid-like pattern, and nobody ever brought it up.
I did enable shadows in the final image and went to a different area too, just to show how visible it becomes.
Overall i had quite a bit of fun playing stw since it went f2p, alltough i have to admit i did play it as founder a few years back so i knew i would be having fun.
Some points i wanna talk about:
The Story was decent, had some funny and emotional interactions and was just a nice motivation to keep playing. One gripe i do have with the story however is, that many quests seemed pretty random at times. Like something thrown in the middle of a bigger questline which is only used as filler. I also found it weird how near the end of the story they introduce Penny's sister and just not mention her any more at all. The storm king fight was also very anti-climatic.
The gameplay was honestly okay, i will admit that the story was my main motivation to keep playing rather than the gameplay since it was very repetive. It was kinda nice to see my defenses and trap builds just easily take care of husks on missions/ssd.
lastly the bugs i have experienced in the past months were pretty annoying, but sadly just something we have to deal with.
Lastly i want to just hear your thoughts on wether or not adding micro-transactions to stw in exchange for a twine peaks story line would be worth it and what kind of micro-transactions you guys would/wouldn't want to see.
I know the Paleo Luna HP build is better, but I lack the heroes, and I just really like Harvester Sarah. I’ve put together the best build for her I can with who I have, but what to know what’s optimal to work towards Bb for the team or which perks for Neon Scythe. Here’s what I have.
Harvester Sarah
Team Perk: Dim Mak. setup: Paleo Luna, Assassin Sarah, Deadly Blade Crash, Intergalactic Ken, Corrupted Aura who will be replaced with Whiteout Fiona when I get her.
Neon Scythe.
energy dmg, crit rate, dmg%, atk speed, dmg to afflicted targets.
(This is the only art I've managed to save ages ago.)
I was looking for a few of ToBinge's old Fortnite art since I remembered liking the short animations they did, and the memes and art from the older days. But almost everything they've posted got scrubbed. I couldn't find their Reddit account either, but I did recall one time, they were making Path of Exile art and traced over their old work, like Penny and Sarah laughing.
Does anyone know why they've done this, or if there's an archive anywhere?
I’ve been noticing when playing that I’m seeing very distinct lines in the terrain where different tiles are connected. I feel like it wasn’t this bad before. I jumped up in the air as ninja and it looks like a checkerboard pattern. Anyone else experiencing the same thing? I play on pc, high graphics.
came back to this game after 2 years. did some ventures and unlocked PL23 zones at level 5 (it used to be 10). does anyone have a new PL chart for all the levels?
