Bag/Pocket Dump ArkPro Ultra
Just got my ultra yesterday so let's see what this thing is all about. I'm a project manager for a major ambulance dealer on the east coast so a flashlight is a necessity for me. I'd usually be carrying a Streamlight Wedge but I thought I'd give this a go. Don't get me wrong I love my Wedge and haven't had a single issue with it but just wanted to try something different. Bag/Pocket Dump My Boring EDC For Wheelgun Wednesday
As stated in the original post, I work in an office and am a dad so I gave up full size EDC a while ago. Nowadays I try and keep it simple with a Ruger LCR, 5 star speedloader, Sig Foxtrot EDC light, and a cheap amazon metal wallet.

Question/Advice/Discussion No. 11 scalpel blade
ok fellow knife and edc dudes and dudettes, i was going to post these two pocket scalpels because i couldn't remember where i got one of them. then i looked at them. both are laser marked CAGE: 5VKB6. question answered. i don't even remember which one i thought i didn't know. anyhow, i broke the #60 blade a few months ago and couldn't find my replacements so i ordered some old timer replacements. i had to widen the slot to make them fit but i'm good now.
then, just the other day i broke the smaller one. i knew where i had some #11 blades, a whole pack of 100 minus a few. these were "left over" from a job i had. we used them for a couple of specific tasks instead of #11 hobby blades. the scalpel blades are just better. we only had a few left so i ordered a box. it's not like we went through that many, \*maybe\* a few a week, and like i said, they're better than x-acto blades, especially cheap ones. management thought they were too expensive and declared we were not to use them anymore. it didn't matter that you could go through 4 or 6 cheap #11 x-acto blades doing what used to take one #11 scalpel blade, they were cheaper! at least by the each, i don't think the scalpel blades cost more than 2Ă or 3Ă what the x-acto blades cost, so not cheaper overall, but management are high finance whizzards, they knoe 'zactly wut to du! that company doesn't exist anymore after 65 years thanks to the self-titled president, cob, coo, cfo... good! more for me!
i thought the #11 scalpel blades would fit. they don't. i looked harder and found my replacement #24 scalpel blades. i only have one left, so i'll have to buy more. that's not my question.
looking at these #11's, does anyone know of a pocket scalpel that takes #11's? that's what i want.
eta: both pocket scalpels are from countycomm, if that wasn't clear. i'm not even sure they still make or carry them.

Question/Advice/Discussion Looking for a new knife
I've been carrying a Kershaw Leek for a long time and I like it, no complaints
But I've got the itch and I want to get a new daily driver, so I've come for recommendations.
I'm looking for something an eye-catchy and interesting but classy (no mall ninja shit) folder (am receptive to OTF though) and not large for <$500 USD. I prefer spear points, tantos, and strange blade shapes but thats not a hard requirements.
As far as use case... dude, I'm a software engineer, I need to cut open amazon boxes and have a cool knife to show off, thats it. I'm not out here operating, you know.

New Addition Normandy Knives Shogun
If youâre looking for a unique OTF that breaks away from the usual and offers some serious elegance, the Shogun is definitely worth a look. The aluminum handle has a diamond/tsuka-maki pattern that is really clean and grippy. The action is very snappy and the lock up is solid. The curved Damascus blade has a distinctive samurai/tanto vibe that really stands out compared to standard drop-point OTFs. I really enjoy the shogun and it will definitely enter the weekly rotation. Check out the video on my main page.

Question/Advice/Discussion DIY Pry Bar
Was looking for a pry bar when I realized I could make one. Around 7â long, not an even grind and potentially too thin at the tip. Might cut it down a little shorter and fix the grind. Let me know your thoughts! I know thereâs better steel out there, this is just what I had that would remotely be close to appropriate thickness.

Question/Advice/Discussion First EDC knife with glass breaker and seat belt cutter. Am I asking for too much?
Hi everyone,
I know almost nothing about EDC knives, so I need some help choosing my first one. Iâm looking for a good-quality knife with decent steel that holds an edge well, but I donât want to spend a fortune.
It must have a plain-edge blade, pocket clip, glass breaker, and seat belt cutter. I drive a lot and want to carry it every day just in case of an emergency.
We also go hiking and trekking occasionally, so it would be a bonus if the knife is useful for cutting rope, food, packaging, or anything else that might come up on the trail.
I donât want a serrated blade. The small serrations on many rescue knives donât look very useful to me, but please correct me if Iâm wrong. Some models also have a bottle opener or other tools, but Iâm not sure whether they are genuinely useful or just add bulk.
Am I trying to combine too many things into one knife? Google gives me a billion options and I have no idea what is actually good (Google is pushing me towards Kershaw Drivetrain). Iâd really appreciate recommendations from people who carry and use these knives.

Question/Advice/Discussion How many of you carry a pocket knife AND Multi-Tool with a blade?
Considering putting away my old trusty pocket knife after picking up my new Leatherman Arc. The blade that came with the multitool is fantastic and super sharp. What about you guys? Do you carry both the tool and pocket knife or just one at a time?

Work EDC New hot desk setup - this one might be here for a while!
Picked up the new orbitkey keyboard case and itâs actually pretty bloody cool! The materials are much nicer than I expected and it fits my gear pretty well! I used to carry a bit of a tech football around with me (peak design tech pouch) but this is a much more efficient design for carrying on the go. The materials feel super premium and hard wearing
It currently is carrying:
Logi MX Mini Mech (my wife got a full size one and it holds a logi mx mech 100% with some space to spare)
Mx anywhere 3S
1 x 2 meter cable
2 x 1 meter cables (usb A/C and C/C)
Earbuds (for when the cans run out of battery)
Small utility blade
Tape measure
A couple of adapters and readers
Klein electricians scissors (tech job)
Anticipating some FAQ:
Will it hold an MX master? Surprisingly yes but itâs not ideal
Will the mini hold a 75%? It is about 1.5 cm short of holding my wifeâs K855
Are the zippers waterproof? Iâm not about to test it but if I got caught in the rain i wouldnât be worried, the fabric broadly feels pretty water repellent.
Is it well padded? If I dropped it I wouldnât be worried about the contents breaking, similarly the inner divider feels like itâs keeping all my
Things adequately protected from all my other things
Does it fit an Apple touchpad? Oof JUST, unless you like it rattling around⌠it does fit in the larger size one better
Space for pens or a stylus? No
Expensive? Surprisingly not really for what you get, $55 -60 AUD depending on the size you get, if you are the type who keeps 2 or more office setups (maybe one for on the road, one for the office bag, one for overseas travel) Iâd probably buy one for each use case
What did you use before? Before this I had the Protoarc folding keyboard which is about 10 cm shorter, similar width and 2 cm thinner⌠but also I couldnât fit all my other stuff in that so I also had âthe footballâ
TLDR; highly rate it!
