My dad got it for me a few years back. It’s a favorite, but no idea where it came from or what it’s called! Has a very nice heft feel to it and it spins for ages when spun and left undisturbed. Very impressed with the quality!

The question is the quality good on Chinese stores or petter to buy from known brands only?

I replaced the sharp pads of the DjuiinoStar silent fidget with some cutouts of 1/16 inch leather that I traced the original pads onto. I also added a spring to the Musketeer clone so now it operates more like a push button. Both of these fidgets were under 20 dollars and now have much better feedback and comfort.

I got this Mot snap clone for $80 AUD on AliExpress and it is amazing quality. It didn’t mention the material at all on the ad, so I was surprised to get what appears to be Zirconium. It’s got that nice smooth heavy feel, slightly lighter than steel I’d say. And the dark smokey finish. What else could it be?
Also it makes the nice ping sound when opening and closing.

I am new to fidget slider. Bought a cheap slider first ($12 CAD) from aliexpress. It was nice but was quite loud and scratchy, mostly I think because the magnets were smaller than the holes and were moving, when sliding. I tried padding them with foam, which made it quieter by a bit, but still didnt feel good.

Then I got 2 more from NXEDC (x56 and advanced). The advanced is crazy smooth and quiet for the money ($45) and the x56 ($35) is also quite nice but not as smooth as the advanced. The magnets in x56 seem to be a bit stronger than advanced.

I am also thinking of buying another mechanical slider. Currently deciding between Chenyu Guardian X1 vs Sea Shark Pro by halooplayer.

I like a lot of the HeroEDC/LeyangEDC/BigDan stuff and finally found a bead I had been looking for since I got this slider. The slider was originally advertised with this rabbit bead on a paracord on the storefront's page. They made it clear that the bead/cord weren't included so I contacted them and no luck, no more beads. I tried asking if it was from the original manufacturer and it looked like the patches were swappable but with the language barrier I was left without clear answers.

Six months later; I'm surfing Ali randomly and see the bead on another storefront. Stoked. The patches are indeed swappable and my slider is complete! The slider's backplate originally came with the hooded skull patch in the second pic (wukong? not sure, looks cool but I wanted that rabbit dang it). Plus the patch is double sided and came with two bunny patches, win! Keeping the Lautie PEI bead on for now. Long story, I know, but it's my #1 mechanical and I'm over the moon.

Anyway, still not sure if it's from Hero or another maker or what but the fit and finish (white copper and brass) is still nice and it slots in place perfectly. Slightly less shiny than the cupronickel on the slider but doesn't stick out too much visually. The seller had other patch-beads available that looked like matches for Hero's narrower Shark sliders.

Wish I was able to get more info about the brand and everything in general, they're an enigma to me. Anyone know more about Hero/LY/BigDan or have some fidgets from them that they love?

I have both of those Aura Sands, and one of them (Slim-Z) feels more firm, like magnets are holding stronger than the other (Slim Pro). And for some reason it's easier to do beginner's tricks on Slim-Z version. Is that how it's supposed to work? I haven't disassambled any of them, and I know they have different customization capabilities, but I'm wondering if it's normal for magnets to be of different strength?

I bought the project ratchet ring back in November or December and love this fidget ring. It’s super quiet and with such a subtle design flys under the radar and looks like any other ordinary ring and makes it super nice to use in public. My only issue with the ring is that it initially was perfect, but after the first 2 months I had to take it apart to clean it as it got to the point where it could barely move. I’m not sure why but ever since the first time I took it apart it feels just slightly different/off, I find myself having to take it apart to clean it every few days now or else to starts to feel like it is sort of grinding or just not able to turn as well. I also don’t know if it’s my imagination or not but I also feel like now I only get a good haptic feel and sound when spinning the ring on one specific side (the side where the little piece is that produces the clicks) and if I have the ring turned on my finger on the other side, I get very little feel/sound and I swear it was not like that originally unless I am just misremembering. I’m wondering if there is a possibility I may have slightly bent the thin spacer ring at one point when putting back together, cause the ring to maybe squeezed tighter on one side causing that side to grind more? I was curious if anyone else had either a similar feel/situation with their ring or any thoughts on this.

This is my first MOT slider and I am genuinely amazed by the incredible quality of the DIY work on it.

It truly deserves every penny paid on it and the craftsmanship stands out immediately.

I am not sure that this scratch was there when I received it, but I suspect it happened after some play with it (15 minutes of sliding).

What steps should I take to stop this from happening again?

What would be the best solution to fix and remove this scratching completely?

Do you have any specific maintenance tips for this model?
