Discussion With Garden being featured and running it again, it's crazy to see how much power creep has happened both in Encounter Design and our Guardians.

Seriously, Garden and many of the old raids now feel like Strikes compared to Salvation's Edge and Desert Perpetual.

First Garden run was 30 minutes. Second was 40 minutes. Including a small bathroom break in the second one.

Garden encounter 1 is Make a Tether.

Garden Encounter 2 is Make a Tether gives Enlighten. Enlighten kills special enemies.

Garden Encounter 3 is Gambit for 3 people and Shooting Eyes for 3 people then a quick 10 second boss melt

Garden Encounter 3 is Gambit 1. Gambit 2. Make a Tether. Wipe the boss again.

Compared to what the newer raids ask of you, old raids are basically strike mechanics

Discussion IMO, All weapons from the tenet of bravery worth picking up for both new and old players.

I made a comment yesterday on a post that asked what weapons were good picking up from the tenet engrams in the tower. Unfortunately I did not have my computer close to me so I could not check all the rolls so this post is for that. If you have any others that you think are missed, feel free to comment and let me know.

Only Perk column 3 and 4 included, if not a special case.

Edit: removed micromort, making a list for all other guns in game rn :)

Edit 2: Q: Why Yeartide Apex? A: Good 900 RPM SMG, only solar SMG that can roll Chaos Reshaped. On top of that it can roll the good solar perks and attrition in first column and reshaped in last

Discussion I hate the NPA Repulsion Regulator.

It's the only artifact with Improved Unraveling (Unraveling Projectiles deals 15% more damage) and Strand Soldier (Gain 8 seconds of Unraveling Rounds when you gain Woven Mail). Perfect for Crytarachne's Facade.

However, these are the only 2 of the only 3 Strand perks that can support pure Strand. The third is Conductive Cosmic Needle (Strand debuffed enemies take 5% more damage from Arc and Void Abilities).

Then the other HALF of the artifact perks are subclass specific! Can only use Unto the Breach on Void or Prismatic. Which locks out Protective Breach and Supernova. Amped Up, Thunderous Retort, Shock and Awe, Lightning Strikes Twice, will all only work with Arc or Prismatic. Same with Overload Grenades, Void Weapon Channeling, and Conductive Cosmic Needle on Arc, Void or Prismatic. Then there's a bunch of weapon perks for Autorifles and Glaives! Sustained Fire, Targeting Autoloader, Bricks from Beyond, Suppressing Glaive, Passive Aggressive Guard.

Why couldn't they have put Improved Unraveling and Strand Soldier on an artifact that actually supports Strand!

Media An old magazine article depicting Gjallarhorn very differently

Moving some old boxes out of my parents house as I moved in with my partner recently and I found Game informer issue 249, which featured the upcoming game Destiny on the cover, and a long article about what it actually was.

One of the most interesting bits was how much changed from this preview the writers saw to launch, cabal colossus were gladiators - hive acolytes were called troopers, and patience and time was instead “closing time”. (Also in the pic below)

Maybe the biggest change was how gjallarhorn might’ve worked though? It’s description in the article reads;

“An ideal weapon for a titan specializing in zone control. The launcher shoots out rockets, and secondary sentries deploy at the site of impact to devastate foes that pass nearby.”

Sounds like it was more dragons breath or finality’s auger back then.

can’t attach the picture, but here https://imgur.com/a/Xpz9y8F

If anyone wants me to try and scan the whole article I can try if it’s not elsewhere online

Some bungie employee probably had some fun before leaving and gave us one last thing to crash out over.

(Quick edit just incase but, /s)

Gotten 2 serviceable pieces of armor out of ~150+ master Cosmodrone sectors and wanted to QQ a bit.

Discussion If only Ticuu’s Divination had been released just a bit later

I made a post on here 1-2 years ago about how I wished it had subclass verb interactions. Some agreed and others said that would be too OP.

It definitely wouldn’t be OP in today’s sandbox and though I know you can give it scorching effects via Artifact mods it would be dope if it had some kind of intrinsic scorching capabilities. I mean it effectively does it’s just not coded as Solar subclass Scorch.

Question What is the one ship that you always find yourself coming back to, or never unequip?

My longtime ship is the white Prometheus OSP, which looks like the space shuttle. It makes me think of the very first Destiny trailer, just humans out exploring the solar system.

Other than that, I really like Obsidian Wings because it looks like the SR-71, and my most recent favorite, Mutable Sepia - feels alive, like a space horseshoe crab or whale.

Discussion Destiny feels best when a weapon has a personality, not just a good perk roll

I think the most memorable Destiny weapons are not always the ones that are technically strongest.

They are the ones you can recognize after five seconds. The sound, recoil, reload animation, sight picture, rhythm, and weird little behavior matter more than people sometimes admit. A weapon can have an excellent perk combination and still feel forgettable if using it feels like using any other gun with better numbers.

That is why some weapons stay in people’s vaults long after the meta changes. They feel specific. They create habits. You remember where you got them, what activity you used them in, or which season they belonged to.

A good roll makes a weapon useful. A strong identity makes it part of your personal history with the game. Destiny has always been at its best when loot is not only a spreadsheet decision. The numbers matter, obviously, but the guns that people actually love usually have something else going on.

What weapon do you keep around mostly because it feels like “yours,” even if it is not the most optimal choice anymore?

Discussion With Chaos Reshaped supposedly being broken, or not working as intended, has anyone put together a list of god rolls that previously included CR as a Column 4 perk, and what each gun's replacement should be?

I would imagine there are a lot of people that use guns with CR where they need the correct healing and would prefer an alternate perk in its stead. For The Call, I have a Lead from Gold and CR crafted version that I love, but now I need to reshape or look elsewhere.

Question Raid / Dungeon Meta DPS

Maybe a longshot, but is there a comprehensive guide to best DPS for particular bosses in raids and dungeons?

Reason I ask, I have cleared every raid (except DP) multiple times, but raids like VOW, Deepstone, Root, ect. I haven't done in years, since I got their red borders.

When looking up guides to refresh myself on the mechanics, a lot of the DPS used in these videos at the time, are outdated. Guardians are now stronger than they have ever been.

And while yes, there are multiple different DPS strats for any particular boss, some are definitely better than others.

For example, Riven. I feel like a stasis titan, and a Still Hunt Hunter are by far the best choices. And both of these did not exist 7 years ago when LW launched.

So long story short, is there some beautiful soul out there that has, or can, list what they believe the best DPS options for certain bosses. My hope is that it also helps newer players in LFG, so less wipes on bosses and looking at some oddly low damage numbers from party members.

Question Whats happening with champions in the game?

Have not seen such a "jump around" moments in D2 lost sectors. Currently doing Europa lost sector and Barrier just jumps away - shields up, cant get to it - reappears, do damage - he jumps away, get shields and health back and then comes back. . Servitors are so crazy ... you cant kill adds because they are shielded by servitors, so need to kill servitor.

Is it only me experiences cat and mouse game with champs or others have same problems ? Or you dont think its a problem ?

Discussion Foetracer can double the amount of Stasis Shards you produce by defeating powerful Stasis debuffed targets.

Since Monuments of Triumph, every Stasis Subclass can intrinsically produce Stasis Shards by defeating Stasis Debuffed targets or Shattering Stasis Crystals. And at some point, Bungie changed Foetracer to no longer require weapon kills to proc, but rather any kill with damage that matches the highlighting element.

Foetracer marks a powerful or greater that you hit with an ability, and marking a target grants you a Weapon Surge matching the element of the ability. And it enables you to produce an Elemental pickup matching this element if you defeat the marked target with that element.

And there is no cooldown on Stasis Shard production. So we may produce two at a time.

This may prove very useful for builds using Yearning Echo, Elemental Charge or any of the Collective weapon perks like Collective Action.

But more importantly, it means you can produce 5 Stasis Shard with one kill using Wicked Implement.

While Wicked Implement's perk Creeping Attrition is active, Precision final blows and Shattering Stasis Crystals will create Stasis Shards. And the catalyst adds Headstone to the weapon. This stacks with the intrinsic effects of Stasis as well as Foetracer. That means you get 3 Stasis Shards it you mark the target and kill it with a precision hit and then 2 more shards from shattering the resulting crystals. Furthermore Wicked Implement will overflow with ammo when you collect them.

Combine this with Grim Harvest, Whisper of Conduction, Whisper of Hunger, and Yearning Echo, to produce lots of Frost Armour and Melee Energy.

On top of that, we can occasionally produce even more Stasis Shards by equipping Whisper of Chains and Whisper of Chill. This would be handy against none-powerful targets who wouldn't trigger Foetracer.

Note that Stasis Shards are also produced for our allies!

Shards forever!

Following this, we can increase our production even more with the Slayer Baron Apothecary Satchel. With Wind Chill we can produce Stasis Shards after hitting a Stasis Debuffed target multiple times with a Stasis Weapon. With Crystalline Converter, our next Stasis weapon kill after dodging will produces a Stasis shard. And with Served Cold, our Stasis Shards will grant us Class Ability Energy! And, and, and with Curative Orbs all these Shards will grants us more health on top of Grim Harvest!

Moar Shards!

Discussion Destiny 2 with the dlcs was so fun as a returning player!

Hello!!! Im a returning player that left when final shape first released due to studies! I have so much to say so please bear with me here.

I was always a big fan of destiny especially since the destiny 1 demo. Me and my brothers at the first day of the taken king assigned a class in the game we would always choose till the end of time and we still have them today! We would take turns playing then and it was just a blast. Im just so so happy i got to have these moments and i wouldnt change them for the world! Im going off track sorry!

I left when final shape first released as i was saying but i had mastered every raid before that, my memory and brain helped me a lot with this! And when i returned a month ago and realized the games end. I bought every dlc and had a blast. I soloed every dungeon. Went back to the old raids and i got every renegades weapon because i love star wars +the weapons are so good. Im genuinely just hungry for so much more from this beautiful game my god. I liked when i learned an encounter and the reward i got for trying my best. Moving on, im genuinely so happy i got to be part of destiny 2 and as i will be moving on with my life i will remember it.

Getting prismatic and experimenting with it was genuinely just mind blowing, even more so when i learned of khvostov and still hunt. What beasts of weapons actually! I still love my broken red war ghostie though so that never changed. Its just wonderful and i appreciate it.

Point is, everyone who wants to play destiny 2? Try it now with the dlcs if possible! Its absolutely a blast and if you wanna be like me and do mostly everything that is possible by yourself? Go for it! Thank you destiny 2 and im quite happy its one of the games i got to experience.

With all that being said. Im curious if anyone disagrees or agrees with my statement? If so, why? Id quite love to hear all opinions(im quite a sucker for new dlc ideas too especially if they have to do with the dark timeline!)!

Question Strike Catalysts

"Found in strikes against the most challenging opponents"

Currently trying to get my hands on the prospector catalyst due to firing it and then going in for a melee attack. Wondering if challenging opponents is referring to Grandmaster strikes (I assume GM difficulty and the current Vanguard Alert are the same thing), or if Master strikes are an option.

Question Duality Shotgun in Crucible

Pretty straightforward question, but essentially I just grabbed duality from the kiosk and got the catalyst quest from banshee. I am not a huge fan of crucible but am curious about a couple of things as I attempt to get this catty unlocked.

Firstly, is there a particular crucible gamemode that gives more special ammo or are they all only on initial spawn and then have to pick up 1 shot at a time for this gun in particular? I have to get 50 kills so its certainly a struggle.

Secondly, it seems I do not have to get the killing blow as long as I shoot them with the shotgun and somebody else kills them, however if I shotgun them and then finish them with anything else it no longer counts for the kill. Is this how it actually works or am I misunderstanding?

Any advice would be great, I really am having a hard time rn in control trying to just get a simple 50 kills

Question Easiest title to get solo

Basically title. I started a fresh account a few weeks ago so I have no titles anymore but I play almost exclusively solo. What titles would you say are doable solo? I have a pretty good build at the moment and have solod the first three dungeons so far so I can keep up in harder content by myself.

Question Austringer pattern?

Returning old light player, I saw that austringer has a pattern and was wondering how to get/farm it as of now.

Research online is mostly old posts and methods of +1yr ago mostly. Most recent I saw was Presage, if that's still the case.

Any advice helps!

Question Vanguard Engrams/Weapons

Just wanted to ask what is the best way to farm engrams or old Vanguard weapons? Just looking to be efficient.
