Megathread [D2] Trials of Osiris Megathread [2026-07-17]

Trials of Osiris is LIVE

This thread is for all general discussion, questions, thoughts, musings, wonderings, etc. for the Trials of Osiris.

FAQ

What are the Trials of Osiris?

  • Trials of Osiris is the pinnacle PvP activity. Every weekend, players compete in a 3v3 game mode with one primary goal: Go to the Lighthouse.

  • To start, head to Saint-14 in the Tower Hangar and buy one of the possible passages (see below).

  • The Lighthouse Passage grants entry to the Lighthouse after reaching 7 wins, with better rewards for larger win streaks.

  • For those not interested in visiting the Lighthouse, a lower-stakes Passage is available.

  • There is fireteam matchmaking. However, we still recommend you find a team for yourself!

How Long do the Trials of Osiris last?

  • Event Starts: Every Friday at Daily Reset (1700 UTC).

  • Event Ends: Following Tuesday at Weekly Reset (1700 UTC).

Where do I go to find Guardians to team up with?

  • You can use the in-game Fireteam Finder or head over to /r/Fireteams, www.The100.io, Xbox LFG system, DestinyLFG.net or DestinyLFG.com, or go to the Bungie.net recruitment forum (also available through the Bungie App). Additionally, many Discord servers host fireteam LFG services.

What if I have a question about another piece of armor/weapon or general Trials question?

  • Use Control + F (Or Command + F if on a Mac) and search for keywords in your question. Someone may have asked it already. If not, ask below in the comments.

I wish it was possible to get the shaders as a solo player without being god's gift to gaming.

What was wrong with the reward system that backstopped your losses? Did morons complain that it ruined MUH PRESTIGE?

I just want the god damn TotN shaders and it's so, so frustrating to play against only the best of the best players, because there is less incentive for low skill players to play, and it will only get worse.

I really wish the cosmetics would be directly purchasable for ciphers, or engrams, or SOMETHING. Some kind of deterministic way to get them would at least keep me playing.

There was never a system that "backstopped your losses" (ok Mercy, did one, but that was it). This is the the most friendly the Trials reward system has ever been by A LOT. The idea here is that B made it easy for anyone to get the weapons and armor and made the cosmetic stuff the aspirational rewards to give better players a reason to keep playing.

Like it or not, this is the best reward system Trials has ever had for the less skilled players.

In Echoes, the Persistence passage was updated as such:

Persistence - Losses following a win will remove the win from a player's card. Consecutive losses do not remove additional wins. Getting to 7 wins grants a drop of the weekly Adept weapon, regardless of how many losses the player has.

In the context of the reward system then, that was great, because it let you just grind it out, as long as you got some streaks here and there.

While yeah, you can bash your head against hoping for a five win streak as a solo for a whole weekend, a more deterministic route for cosmetics at least like the above would have been great.

Obviously not going to happen now, but still.

Worst weekend ever man only potatoes on my team feels like sbmm kicked in and gave me vegetables to balance the team

Is the new trials ghost bugged or something? Week after week 5+ win streaks and no ghost. I have every other cosmetic and have been playing on a flawless card all night. Literally the last thing I need.

I'm a zero pvp player, only looking to farm out enough engrams to focus out one of each armor piece for fashion purposes. What's the best way to not grief my team and get my engrams as fast as I can so I can leave Trials and never return?

Get Trials of Osiris Passage. Get a full fireteam together. A full fireteam gets bonus drops win or lose.

The worst ToS weekend I've ever played, played 15 games not had a single person on my team above a 0.5KD

below 5,000 right now. Pre MOT it was hitting below 2,000 a lot. We don't have much time left for high population Trials sadly

Absolutely, what a horrible horrible weekend. Always being matched against 3 void Hunters on my Flawless game is getting real tiring. Can’t be just bad luck

It's been incredibly sweaty since MoT. I can't even get a 5 streak

Wake me up when Unwavering Duty is featured

For real that's the one thing I want from this too because when it was featured in EoF I never got to a high enough level to get a T5 with good perks lol.

It's one of the featured weapons this week!

Wow what! I played a few games of Trials yesterday and never saw one! I saw plenty of The Scholar haha. Well now I gotta hop back in.

I’m still confused, if I’m just farming weapons and the most I can get is a 3 streak, is it better to pick up lighthouse or trials passage

Trials passage 100%. Trials passage is always better for grinding drops, lighthouse passage is for cosmetics and going flawless for its own sake. Even if you’re a player that can hit 7 streak easily and win consistently in flawless pool, you’ll just win faster in trials passage because it’s CBMM

That’s the experience I’ve had. Like if I’m just looking to get a better roll on one of the attuned weapons I just do the Trials passage.

Man, this is the white wale. Remember in D1 trying to get to the lighthouse. Think 3 or 4 wins was as far as i got (so not even close, lol). I have not been active for some time now but in my mind I have always been thinking that someday coming back. Feels sad that destiny is over. What a game!

If you want flawless, this is the best time to go for it. Solo flawless is essential just matchmaking luck, just keep trying and you’ll get it. Just follow your teammates, shoot with them and play your life

I much appreciate that you believe in me but I am afraid this ship has sailed. I don’t think I have the energy to grind out the gear again and I have tried that previously but got a bunch of angry messengers and gave up. Felt bad to ruin the others runs and couldn’t focus.

I was like 15 years old going to the light house every week in d1 duoing with my other 15 year old friend

2

u/JeanLucPicardAND 4d ago

I made it to the Lighthouse precisely one time in D1.

3

u/Kaninerhatarbananer 4d ago

Good on you, that’s certainly not an easy task.

Does trials not count for xenology?
