Discussion Calvary Chapel blatantly endorsing republicans for mid terms at the pulpit

“Gone are the days when you can vote Democrat”

As a former attendee of Calvary (through 2019), who watched them platform K1rk (apparently you can’t mention his name here?) during Covid, this is just crazy. Not even giving a chance to people without an R next to their name on the ballot. Wild. Take a look. Link is around 25 minutes.

Edley's BBQ

Edley's BBQ is really good BBQ.

For context, I know about BBQ. All parts. I was on a whole hog professional BBQ team in Memphis for over 15 years. We smoked a lot of pork. We competed in all categories. I have cooked and consumed enough BBQ for a couple of lifetimes. So much so that I RARELY eat BBQ anymore. I moved to Chattanooga eight months ago and have had Edley's several times now. Always consistent and always good. Great service. It's brought me back to loving BBQ again.

Thank you Edley's

Don’t let your friends and neighbors vote for Weston data center Wamp

Make sure to check the reciepts for yourself.

And then keep posting them on Wamp’s campaign ads; sharing with neighbors; share with your uncle and mom and whoever else is sharing to vote soon and make sure they know that IF they are opposed to data centers and hyper surveillance like flock and Palantir in Hamilton county?

They should NOT to vote for Wamp.

Campaign donations here: https://elect.hamiltontn.gov/CandidateInfo/FinancialDisclosures.aspx

And the TN ethics commission statement of interest reporting, where Wamp self reported investments in hyper scaler data center pioneers Amazon & meta: https://conflict.app.tn.gov/conflict/

Early voting is happening now until August 1st.

Early voting locations: https://elect.hamiltontn.gov/ev.aspx

Election Day is August 6th.

Found this little guy running down East Brainerd Road headed away from Morris Hill road, headed towards Westview Elementary. He is black and white, very sweet, and seems to be well taken care of. He came right to me when I stopped my car and sat in my lap on the way home. He was in danger if being hit, so I have him with me. He didn’t seem too thirsty, and he is safe and being well taken care of! Please let me know of this is your little guy! He has very cute and crooked bottom teeth!

Discussion Wamp vs Herndon

So normally I’m on here sprouting propaganda for Cinema One, but just looking through this subreddit seems a lot of chattanoogans on both sides of the isle despise wamp. But I was wondering how you guys keep up on the what both candidates believe, I looked at both their pages and seems that they both have to very broad and basic goals, making the school system better, upkeeping roads, developing Chattanooga. Only thing I really see a difference between the two is Herndon is against AI data centers, big thumbs up. I guess my question is, how do you guys keep up with what each candidate believes and wants for Chattanooga and be informed to make the right decision for our community. I have a hard time because a lot of the news about them is paywalled behind CTFS and doesn’t seem to be much more info out there besides Reddit lol.

Discussion Watching video/speakerphone calls in public without headphones

Scene: Great Clips’ Northshore (next to Publix) waiting area packed nuts to butts
You: eyes of brown like limpid pools
Me: eyes of red like didn’t sleep last night

Situation: You’re watching video without headphones and making everyone else hear something you think is interesting. I’m sitting right next to you, left eyelid twitching violently as I am forced to listen to some content creator’s attempt at a hype train.

Interaction: I asked politely if you had headphones, and you realized you were being a total ass and muted your audio.

Fallout: Faith in humanity restored, mostly.

Result: I didn’t murder you and leave your corpse for rodents to eat.

Takeaway: If you take speakerphone calls or watch video in public without headphones, you deserve to be fed alive to organisms with dull teeth

City Government Does anyone have a list of reasons why they prefer Herndon over Wamp?

I'm not as up-to-date with local politics as I should be, but I've noticed this subreddit seems to really dislike Weston Wamp. It's harder to find a lot of information about exactly why he might be a poor candidate online, simply because this is a local election. If any of you who are passionate and knowledgeable about this election and these candidates has a list of (verifiable) reasons why they prefer Mark Herndon to Wamp, I'd definitely be willing to spread the word and encourage my friends to vote. I'm not trying to offload my civic duty of staying informed to y'all; I just assume some of you have reasons that might be harder for me to find on my own.

And of course, if there are those of you who think Wamp is a better candidate than Herndon, I'd be interested in those reasons as well!

Sitar closed?

My husband and I were craving Indian food & wanted to order from sitar, but Google and Apple Maps say permanently closed? I know they were having issues with health code. Is that why they closed? I saw someone previously post it was temporary for renovations. We have tried spice trail and it was lovely, but it was more of a nice date night spot.

Looking For... Chicken eggs

Post image
2 Upvotes

This may be a long shot but since my fb account was shut after being hacked I’ve no where else to search. I’m looking for some fertilized chicken eggs for my broody hen to sit on and hatch. Does anyone have any or know anyone with a rooster willing to part with some eggs? I’m happy to pay or trade for a basket of home grown garden veggies 🥒🍅

My broody girl and I thank you in advance 🐣
