-zip lining
-ATV (without guide or need for helmets)
-hikes where we can creek stomp/toss rocks/picnic
-playgrounds/splash pads

We have a child in our group with special needs. Waiting in line can be hard, otherwise they love to go! Locations with shorter wait times or disability passes is helpful.

We’re also open to any other accommodating family activities or your must do’s! We’re a group of 8 and will be there for 1 full week. Thank you!

I was outside of our AirBnB farmhouse in rural Sevierville around 4:15am letting our dog use the bathroom and heard the strangest “thrumming” ever. It almost sounded mechanical. At most it would happen 3-4 times in a row. I stitched together the clips I managed to get of it on video and bumped the audio so the crickets don’t drown it out. My husband heard it, too, when he’d go outside. What is it??

Does anyone know what they are doing? Are there no erosion control regulations?

Looking at dollywood tickets and noticed there are loads of diff sites selling them. i know some are probably fine, but its hard to tell which ones are actually legit. scared for being scam. if youve booked somewhere other than the official site, how did it go? Just dont want to end up with bad ticket or any hassle on the day.. TIA

We (me, my boyfriend, and our 4 year old son) will be in Pigeon Forge the last week of July. We'll mostly be heading into GSNP, but we want to do a few things for the kid since it's his first vacation. He does have some sensory issues, but does pretty good if he wears his headphones.

We are trying to decide between a few of the attractions and I need some advice!

Anakeesta or the Island?

Are the UTV off-road drives worth it? I was looking at the 3-4 hour rentals.

Best mini golf/go carts?

Is the Aquarium great? The kid does love penguins.

Are there some fairly easy places to hike where the kid can throw rocks in a creek/river? He could spend hours doing that.

My kids and I are doing a Gatlinburg/PF trip at the end of Sept. Does this look like a reasonable itinerary for kids with a parent? Hoping to stay at the Drury in PF, we will be driving in. Thanks for your thoughts!

Sunday - Apple Barn and Cider Mill in Sevierville in the afternoon, evening at Anakeesta
Monday - Gatlinburg for aquarium, lunch at Pancake Pantry, Hillbilly Golf, back for Pirate Voyage show for dinner
Tuesday - no set plans for morning, early lunch at Frizzle Chicken Cafe, GSMNP for Cataract Falls and Kuwohi, see Island Fountain Show at night
Wednesday - Dollywood!
Thursday - possibly wander around Old Mill Square (maybe a tour?), have lunch, Dollywood for the afternoon/evening
Friday - check out day, last chance for other stops, hit up Buc-ee's on the way home

Headed to Dollywood next week and instead of making the 2 hour trek home after a long day we were thinking of looking for a place just to sleep after the park then hop on one of the mountain coasters in the morning before heading home. Dont need anything fancy, just bug free! Anything outside of the big name, expensive places would be much appreciated!

Hi All!

As the title says. My family and I will be traveling to Pigeon Forge for a family reunion in a few days, but the local forecast is predicting thunderstorms and showers for the majority of our stay.

This kinda puts a damper on our plans which were to check out the Great Smokey Mountains National Park, hike, try a mountain coaster, and maybe try to find some cave stuff in between the other planned events. Now we're trying to find some other things to do that would be enjoyable, relatively low cost, and not necessarily geared towards kids (we are all adults ranging from 20s to mid 40s).

We love to still do some cave stuff if that's still feasible, but we're kinda lost on what else what else to do that we couldn't do it at home and would all enjoy (ie aquarium, music, etc).

So if anyone has any suggestions, I'd greatly apprcieate them!

Okay yall I swear growing up this family from my church said they’d go to place where you can cook your own pancakes at the table in Gatlinburg. But maybe it was Pigeon Forge. They went every spring. But I’m here and cannot for the life of me figure out what place they were talking about. Does it exist? Did it ever? TIA

Im going to the pigeon forge/gatlinburg area for the first time, and we are going from the 12th to the 16th. Which day would be best to visit dollywood. I'm planning to spend one full day there, so I wanted to know which would be best for crowd levels, as I know it varies by time of the year. the only days possible for us to visit dollywood for the whole day would be monday (13th), tuesday (14th,) or wednesday (15th). thank you!

Hi everyone, I'm coming down in early December and im.stuck on which is better. Hilton Garden Inn or The Embassy Suites?? I was originally going the Garden Inn but after looking alittle more Im not sure. Which one do you think is better? I'll take any advice and insight please and thank you!!

We will be travelling with a senior family member that cannot do the hiking trails. What is the easiest and BIGGEST and most beautiful waterfall to access in the national park closest to the Sevierville TN area (willing to drive up to 30 minutes away)?

Me and my boyfriend are traveling to Tennessee for the first time in October of this year. While we already have a few ideas, we would love to know if there are any hidden gems, best resturants, and/or must see places to go to in the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area.

Im coming down in December with my 2 cats and husband. I know it's really hard to find a place that takes cats, especially since I still want it to be nice. After researching i think I'm going to choose the Hilton Garden Inn. I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas/suggestions i might have missed, and if they had any reviews/insight into if that is a nice hotel? I'll be down the 6th-11th, I know it's Christmas time, so it's going to be busy, but just how bad should I except? Im hoping since I'm going early in the month and during the week, it shouldn't be insane. Any insight into what I'm getting myself into would be appreciated also!! Thank you for any help

It's not necessarily bad tasting it's just off. I'd always order DP before I moved down here and now I have to find alternatives to drink. I'm a DP head through and through it's just weird down here.

My parents live in Telford and I'm planning on taking my kids and husband around the Pigeon Forge area for a few days. I'm looking for places to eat that aren't chains but have the "mom and pop" feel. We will eat all types of food and not looking for anything specific! We try to go to places that aren't "popular with tourists" and love the family feel

This is the first year doing soaky mountain, so don’t have any idea about crowds. Is this week going to be really busy? Was thinking maybe Wednesday or Thursday, not on the actual holiday weekend. Any insight appreciated

Hello, everyone, I may be in the area in a month or two and was wondering if there were any places locally (in Gatlinburg, Severville, or Pigeon Forge) that sells authentic Pandora charms.

I know there is the outlet at the Tangers, a store that sells some at the Island, and that the 3 Bears store also has a Pandora section.

Are there any other options that I should consider? I'm open to checking out bigger stores as well as local stores.

Is anyone very familiar with Pigeon Forge TN?

We are going there next weekend and I'm looking for fun things to plan while we're there.

We've been to Dollywood & we've done the utv offloading in Gatlinburg, as well as gone to the Titanic museum.

What else is a "Must see"?

I called, and looked on the website but I'm still not sure I am getting the right information because it seems...unlikely.

Our family is going to be visiting next month. Our son (21m) has Down syndrome and really wants to do Magiquest. The other kids (18M, 16NB) really aren't interested. So the idea of paying $30 each to go through the castle is a little steep (the combo would be too much for him) When I called they said that we could just buy the $30 wand+ 90 minute package for him and then walk around with him - but that seems odd for five people to go in and only one person pay. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Also, what is the best time of day to go? We used to have Universal annual passes so he's used to crowds, but we still try to plan our days (if possible) so that crowds have the least impact.

Hey all, I’m looking to come out for a quick getaway today through Wednesday. I’m curious about how much the thunderstorm forecast will affect hiking conditions. I’m not worried about mud, more so higher water crossings and slippery rocks. Was wanting to at least do Charlie’s Bunion but not sure if I should just wait until a clearer forecast. TIA!
