Hi all!! My husband won a bib to the Falmouth Road Race through a raffle. We live in CT and are getting back from vacation the night before the race (bib pick up day). He reached out to the organizers and they said they cannot mail the bib and the only way to retrieve it is to have someone pick it up. Problem is..we don’t know anyone that lives on the Cape. Is anyone attending the race that would be willing to pick up my husband’s bib? TIA!

I'm helping a local charity with their Falmouth Road Race Team. We have one bib left if anyone is looking to run the race this year (Its on August 16th). There is a fundraising minimum of $2,000 which is a challenge I know not everybody is able to take on. But the cause is a worthy one. Leash your damn dogs for the love of god if you don't have control of them. I'm out surfing low tide and some asshole just let her off least dog piss on my towel and then try to wave it off.

Be a better human if you are going to be responsible for a pet.

The piping plovers and other nature matter. Follow the damn leash laws.

Unsure if this was a spell done disrespectfully or if these items didn’t make it to where they needed to go. There’s still tarot cards strewn a quarter mile down where the original disposal site is.

Felt very good this weekend! I’m doing my damndest to not let the influx of tourism get me cranky, and remember what it’s like when I go on vacation and how special it can be to have a friendly local face around.

So as I’m walking down the sidewalk next to a marsh there’s this young couple, obviously from out of town, staring out across the marsh just smiling and having a good time. They see me coming and I give a nod and a “good morning” which made them grin all the wider like they’d just dropped into Pleasantville lol.

Then as I’m going past they comment to each other “oh I wish I knew what that bird was, how amazing, etc etc”

Sure enough I look over and see exactly what they’re looking at and I just call back “That’s an Osprey! There’s two and their three chicks!” You should’ve seen their faces! They whipped out their phones to look up Ospreys and were just so excited to have learned about what they were looking at!

I’m not a big birder but it made me feel pretty good and pretty proud to share that with them 🥰

Looking to get a mini split installed in a fully insulated and finished 200 sq ft outbuilding. Electrical already in place. I got a quote last fall that was highway robbery. Does anyone have any reputable/reasonable local recommendations? It seems that many of the local installers are now owned by large conglomerates. I'm on the lower Cape.
