I've used my Camry twice in last month and a half, I've decided to sell it. I love this car, it owes me nothing. 2014.5 V6 fully loaded. I'm gonna miss it.

So far so good! Bought it pre-owned, and i hate how expensive it was for a pre-owned vehicle. 25k .. But I understand that Camrys (Toyotas in general) hold their value really well too!
So far I really love it!! Before this my daily was a dodge journey (the WORST car ever) and a Chrysler 200. The used Chrysler lasted me 7 years before shitting out last year. The dodge has trans issues now, so it feels amazing to get into a smooth Camry. Hoping for no issues with it!!

The 2005 is on its last month. I’ve owned that beauty since new in April 2005 and have put 231000 miles on her. Will be sad to see her go.

The 2026 XLE AWD has a build date of August 11th. Anything I should do to prepare? I’ve scheduled the window tint and I have the wheel locks on hand already.

Is this a deal: OTD Price 31.5k on New 2026 SE

Upvotes

Just got off the phone with a Toyota dealer in the Dallas area and haggled a bit on the phone. Ended up giving me $31.5k OTD price on a new 26 Camry SE. He didn’t put it in writing and said I have his word because he didn’t want an OTD price sheet to be used against him with the other dealers I’m speaking to. Can I trust him or should I expect surprise fees when I visit the dealership. He confirmed it was OTD price when we spoke.

Thoughts on this OTD price $31.5k?
Most OTD prices I’ve been getting this week have been 33-36k.

Found hanging from 2026 Camry

Post image

This was partially hanging down under my Camry. It was a little in front of the driver side rear tire. There isn’t one on the other side. Everything under there looks screwed in and tight. It started after I had some body work done on the driver side back quarter panel. Someone dented my car when they were pulling in. Damage wasn’t bad - I can’t imagine underneath being affected at all. After I picked it up, I heard a noise every now and then. Yesterday, it must have slipped down farther and it was dragging making a terrible sound. Any idea what it is? Do I need it? I don’t know if it’s related to the repairs or not.

Is there a safe and relatively simple way to add bass to the weak sound system in the 25 Camry SE? I know messing with electronics is sketchy on new cars.

Help What tires do you guys recommend?

Been searching around for a couple days now on some tires for my 2025 AWD Camry and I’m having a hard time figuring out which tires to go with.

I understand I’m going to be spending anywhere from 650-900 dollars for a decent set of 4 new tires. That said I don’t necessarily want to break the bank because I have seen some quotes for a higher price (and I would assume a higher quality).

2 out of the four original tires that came with the car are already in the red according to Toyota with the other two not far behind.

Living in Nj the weather can vary drastically depending on the season lol. I also have about a 80 mile round trip drive to work.

Ideally I would like to find something that is:
- suitable for all weather conditions (being realistic haha I know that if the weather is bad enough the tires won’t make a difference)
-tires that will last me longer than 40,000 miles (I really don’t accelerate or brake that rapidly in my opinion)
-tires that will “help” fuel efficiency (saw Toyota recommended tires that had that labeled as a positive about the tire)
-something affordable

I really appreciate any advice or past experiences!!

2018 SE CarPlay journey

Finally after two other units I have found the holy grail of what I believe to be the best and most OEM look for the gen 8 Camry. I thought it looked outta place but from seeing the new years and the one knob on the dash I was ok with this look. All steering wheel control are functional and this is equipped with android and enough Ram and storage to be future proof for some time. Its Nav bar at the bottom bugged me for a bit but I can add apps at the bottom to seamless switch from and back to CarPlay with no additional reconnection. A HUGE difference in this unit is it doesnt have those tacky side touch buttons like 98 percent of screens have. This also perfectly holds the telltale indicator for airbags and no gaps around the into and AC controls which can be common with aftermarket. BIG bonus is the capability to add cellular connection which I may do down the road.

Question 2026 Toyota Camry SE wiper fluid reservoir blocked?2

Upvotes

I soon after buying my new Camry that I had no wiper fluid in it, no big deal obviously. I never got around to buying any until this week and when I went to fill it up it only took like 1 cup or less of the fluid which I immediately thought was super odd. I tried the wiper fluid again and it still doesn’t work so I took a closer look. It looks like when I filled it, it only filled the neck above the reservoir, and it’s just sitting there. It appears that somehow the reservoir is blocked or something?

Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas what to do besides just taking it to the dealership? I live over an hour away and I’d really prefer to not drive all the way there over damn wipe fluid lol.

Edit: idk how that “2” ended up in the title, sorry lol.

Apple CarPlay still not working

Post image
4 Upvotes

Hi, I posted a little while ago because my iPhone 13 Pro Max was not connecting to my 2023 Camry for charging or for CarPlay.

I ended up buying an anker cable from Walmart, and it still didn’t work. I tried to clean out the port, and it still didn’t work. I had a friend come over and check the fuses and none of them were blown. Eventually, I went back to the dealership to get a diagnostic.

They claimed the USB port should charge, but that it doesn’t display CarPlay because there is a bent prong inside the port preventing contact. The fix was going to cost almost $550 so I just said whatever, it’s not worth it.

Yesterday, another friend tried to connect their android to my car and it WORKED. It charged the phone and asked to connect to android auto.

Is this a problem with the anker cable I used, or are apple CarPlay and android auto controlled by different parts of the port?? I’m so confused rn, any help is welcome.

I’ve attached a photo of the inside of the USB port where the prong is missing (there are supposed to be 4). The picture is very blurry though, that’s my bad.

Problem with ‘26 Camry XLE Nav Screen

Post image
5 Upvotes

I’ve developed an ongoing issue with my Camry’s navigation screen on the 12.3-inch multimedia display. I recently noticed that when using the built-in navigation, roughly the top 10% of the screen appears to fade out of view, as shown in the photo. It wasn’t doing this originally, so I’m wondering whether I accidentally changed a setting while making adjustments. At this point, I can’t seem to restore full clarity to the screen. This is the only app or feature on the multimedia screen that has this problem; even third-party CarPlay apps display normally. Any help would be appreciated.

Question Dash Mat or Sticky Dash fix

Hey guys. I just got my first car last week, my grandmas 2011 Camry that she had before she passed away. Before it was given to me it sat in their driveway since about 2018/2019 so in all that time sitting in the sun the dashboard melted and is suuuuuper sticky. And that’s when I learned about all the sticky dash problems. I’ve seen some not great reviews of the Sticky Dash Kit so I haven’t bought that, and I don’t really like the look of dash mats. Does anyone have any recommendations to any sort of fix or any links to any dash mats that may be the slightest bit aesthetically pleasing 🤣 thanks in advance!

2025-2026 Camry Android Auto Audio Issue

Very specific issue. Not sure if intentional or not. But when playing audio from sources outside of Spotify, let's say YouTube, adjusting the volume forces the car to go back and play whatever was on Spotify. So if you're listening to a podcast, song, or anything and you want to adjust the volume, the video pauses and spotify immediately plays music. Any fixes or anyone else having this issue?

Help Pulled a P26cb code, toyota/lexus specialty shop OR 20 years experience mobile mechanic who currently works for chervolet dealership?

Camry 2018 se 75k miles

Car got a p26cb the other day when i started the first time for that day. I drove a work and got a “coolant temp high”, immediately pull over for 45 mins and head home for that night. Anyway, home was 1 miles away thank goodness.

Luckily there were no smoke or strange smell when i opened the engine bay. The coolant level was at the low level. Checked my dip stick and oil is ok. I changed oil like a little more than a montj ago. Googled it and its a water pump issue. Probably failing i guess.

I went to this toyota/lexus specialty shop once before for break job. They did very good and seem honest. Price is reasonable fair if not then cheap to some people. I like them. They charge 60 for diagnostic but will waived if I decided to fix it there but their latest available day in on aug 4

Also found a mobile mechanic who can come to me anytime i want. Have 20’years experience and is a dealer mechanic at chervolet. He showed me all the pic of car he worked with before. Included a lotmof ttuck and a toyota supra. So i guess i kinda have a good feeling. He charges 50 for diagnostic, 100 an hour for labor. I will need to buy my own part.

Obviously i rather have my car to be done asap. I kinda want to go with the mobile mechanic guy but wasnt sure if this is a good idea.

Is water pump issue usually a problem that doesnt need a specialist to fix?

Help How well does the Camry do in Midwest winters?

Hi all,

I’m looking to buy a 2012 Camry (FWD), and was wondering how it does on really snowy days. My neighborhood very rarely plows, and we get there “tracks” of ice that you have to drive on.

I won’t really have a place for snow tires and will have to stick with all season. Do you think the cavalry will probably get stuck?

Thanks!

How to do this?

Hello! New here!

I added this purple vinyl to my steering wheel recently and am having a hard time getting it to stick. I used the type of vinyl you use in a circuit, then applied and cut it myself.

I’m wondering if maybe I should try again with a different application method. I would love to order something that is specifically made for this, but am having a hard time finding any overlays online that are meant for this part of the steering wheel.

Thank you!
