got an internship offer from KPMG within Audit and Assurance. What is your best piece of advice/tips/etc. It’s a 6-months program in a EU country.

I've been with the firm for 2.5 years and, despite receiving a differentiating rating again this year (3rd time in a row), I still haven't been promoted from Analyst to Senior Analyst. To be honest, I'm extremely disappointed and frustrated.

Unfortunately, leaving isn't a straightforward option right now, as the firm is funding my master's degree through March of next year. At the same time, the compensation outcome feels underwhelming—the bonus was far below my expectations, and the salary increase was only around 10%.

Given the situation, I'm seriously considering whether it makes sense to start exploring opportunities at other companies, even if that means repaying the master's sponsorship out of pocket. I'm struggling to see a compelling reason to stay if strong performance continues to go unrewarded.

Isn’t this the same meeting invite they sent out last year when they announced no bonus for progressing or below?

Currently A2 in Audit and being unassigned for 2 months.
Counselor said my performance is great and everyone likes working with me, just slow in the summer and it's alright. I asked every single person I know for work, but there's nothing. Now I start feeling like I'm not gonna get my senior promo due to low work hours. Should I plan myself out?

After 2 months of interviews, I finally got a verbal offer last month that the team wants to proceed with the written offer paperwork but after 5 weeks I have still never received it. Now the recruiter is saying I might not get anything until end of August (another 5-6 weeks). Is there a hiring freeze right now? Should I just assume the offer is dead in the water? I've never experienced such a thing before.

Based in California, just graduated with an Econ degree. I have 128 credits and am planning on using FEMA to catch up to 150. I don’t plan on pursuing a CPA but just want to get the 150 so I can work in audit for 2-3 years.

Do they just check if you have 150 credits or do they also check the subject related credits, like accounting, etc?

I'm only interested in Audit. Can I submit applications to both the Financial Statement Audit and Distributed Audit & Assurance Services groups for a full-time Associate position?

I’m an audit intern with EY this summer - and independence is confusing me. Let me start by saying I do not invest at the current time but am looking to start in the near future. If I accept my full time offer, even if I am not on the audit engagement for a specific company, and they are not audited out of my office, am I still restricted from purchasing their stock? What is a covered person?

For example if I work on the XYZ company audit engagement as a staff 1, can I still purchase GOOG shares on NYSE?

I recently finished my professional qualifications but finding it hard to branch into new industries at my Big 4 firm. I’ve spoken to my mentor about being assigned to other jobs but my scheduler remains with same group job I’ve been at since year 1. I feel so stagnant and I become chartered next year summer. Has anyone been through the EY FAAS case study interview before? If so, I’d really appreciate it if you could share your experience. What kind of case study did you receive, what types of questions were asked ?

I’m deciding between two MSA programs and would appreciate some advice.

I graduated this past May from George Mason University with my bachelor’s in Accounting, so I am familiar with the area and the university.

I was accepted into GMU's MSA with a full tuition scholarship, and a guaranteed Graduate Teaching Assistant position.

I was also accepted into Wake Forest University’s MSA with a full tuition scholarship as well, but no “work study“ position guaranteed.

My goal is to earn my CPA and work in Big Four.

If you were in my position, which program would you choose and why? What factors should I consider that I may be overlooking?

What is the travel requirement in reality for a UX design role under technology consulting? The description is at 80%, but in all my years, I’ve never had to travel anywhere for UX design/ UX Consultancy. Maybe once a year for a conference, but never as part of the job description. Is up to 80% real? NYC based role. TIA.

I'm currently placed in a big 4 in the external audit department. It's been nearly 4 months since I've joined. Gained above decent exposure in a mid size firm during my articleship. So, the transition in terms of work hasn't been hard. I'm getting used to the big 4 way of work.

My major problem is the pressure. I understand from talking to people here and based on my previous articleship experience that the pressure is always present here.

There are a few bad apples in the hierarchy too in terms of micromanaging and sometimes raising their voices.

I know that external audit is not a long term plan for me. Looks like I won't be able to manage it here in the short term too. My health has taken a toll. I'm constantly anxious, which has led to nausea.

I'm planning on moving on to industry, but the job market is just genuinely bad out there.

People keep telling me to atleast consider staying for a year. But I feel like it's not something I'll be able to manage here. I'm depressed, anxious and always angry.

My question is this - do I stick it out for some time until I find a good job to drop my resignation, or do I drop it now or do I stay here for a year because it will look good on my resume? Is there a lot of shame that comes with quitting early?

I would appreciate practical, sensible advice from people who've been in this position before.

I applied of C# FullStack Senior Software Engineer role but recruiter recommended me for manger role and everything went well and expecting an offer but salary expectations was based C# FullStack Senior Software Engineer role and during verbal offer recruited discuss about same range. Should Expect higher offer or not. I have 16 years of experience and am I still able negotiate after written offer? Please suggest. TIA.

I am waiting on my results on my final test to hopefully go 4/4 and I was wondering if once I become a CPA i would receive a salary increase.

I currently work in EY and I know you receive a one time bonus if you pass it in the first two years of you joining, but I was also expecting some sort of increase to my annual salary as a result of my license.

I spoke with my counselor and he told me that they did not consider the CPA when giving out increases. I find this hard to believe given the need for CPAs in the industry. Can anyone confirm whether this is common practice among the firm?

How is this possible? Is this actually something they can penalize u for? They said ur not working on ur CPA and u don’t have enough utilization
